Remember not too long ago when I warned people not to trust the new “moderate” Glenn Beck? Well, it didn’t take long before he went right back to the same old crap he’s been spewing for years.
This time he went off on a tangent about President Obama morphing into a dictator during his State of the Union address, because he said he’s going to use a few executive orders to get things done since Congress refuses to act.
In fact, he also said President Obama’s speech contained, “continued pronouncements that he fully intends to trash the Constitution of the United States.”
Funny coming from the guy who supports the party that wants bans on gay marriage (unconstitutional as per our First Amendment), constantly restricts women’s rights and constantly tries to block the Affordable Care Act – something our Supreme Court deemed Constitutional.
Beck also went on to say, “Over and over again, looking us in the eye, he said he would use his executive power to get his way. He bragged about it repeatedly.” He urged his audience to remember this moment, because “this was the State of the Union where our president declared he would become America’s first dictator.”
Which is, of course, ridiculous.
If Beck thinks Obama is a dictator, what the hell does he think about Reagan considering how many executive orders he issued?
Then again, conservative rhetoric isn’t based on reality – it’s based on what they want to believe and what sounds good.
It’s ironic considering how just a week or so ago Beck was talking about how he regrets being someone who might have helped divide this country, yet here he is once again using inflammatory rhetoric which is clearly meant to divide people.
It’s like I said before, don’t be fooled by his fake “moderate” tone. He’s trying to get a new television channel launched and he’s well aware that he won’t pull that off spewing the insane propaganda he has used throughout basically his entire career.
Though it appears the more “moderate” Beck might not have been believed by many, and he’s gone right back to his same old insane b.s. he’s been using for the last several years.
It’s just really hard for me to take conservative seriously when I come to the debate table ready to work on our differences to find a compromised solution, but they show up with “facts” that aren’t even true and a “reality” that doesn’t even exist.
