It’s been a while since I wrote anything about our favorite crazy conspiracy loon, Alex Jones. Mainly because I can’t stand listening to him for more than a couple of minutes before I lose all hope in humanity knowing that a few million people actually follow and believe this lunatic.
Honestly, I shouldn’t even call him a lunatic. Personally, I believe he’s a complete fraud. I don’t really think he believes 90 percent of what he says, he’s just realized that he can make quite a lot of money pandering to the most paranoid and ignorant among us.
But when I saw that he had some choice words for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, curiosity got the best of me and I had to see what he had to say.
Well, I think it’s safe to say that Alex Jones is no fan of Chris Christie.
Jones called Christie a, “disgusting gangster pig” but quickly pointed out that he doesn’t call him that because he’s “Jabba the Hut’s brother” but because Christie is “a piece of trash.”
First, enough with the Christie fat jokes. They’re tasteless and only show pettiness and immaturity. Second, Alex Jones isn’t exactly being asked to be on the cover of Men’s Fitness, so I don’t know who he thinks he is to make fun of Christie’s weight.
Jones also went on to say that Chris Christie is, “what the Republican, blue-blood, Karl Rove leadership wants to give America to run against Hillary so she ends up being president.”
I’m not really sure if he meant they’re being foolish by wanting to run Christie because he’s not a “real conservative,” or that he believes Rove and company actually want Hillary Clinton to be president which is why they’re pushing for Christie.
What he failed to mention is that in basically every credible poll done of potential 2016 GOP presidential candidates, Christie is the only one who even comes close to competing with Hillary Clinton. And I think it’s pretty safe to say now that it’s not a matter of if Hillary decides to run, but when she’ll make it official.
How this bridge scandal will impact those numbers has yet to be seen, but I think it goes without saying that this situation is going to negatively impact Christie’s presidential chances. Especially as more details seem to be emerging that clearly show there can’t be any way that all this stuff went on without Christie knowing anything about it. Even if that’s the story he’s sticking with.
I did find it a bit ironic that Alex Jones seems to attack Christie for being a “pig” who might be so petty as to order this pathetic retaliation against a mayor who refused to endorse him — yet ignores the fact that he makes a living preying on the fear and paranoia of millions of Americans.
As if he’s some “nobel American” who would never stoop to such petty levels. Please.
Alex Jones has made a living off the knowledge that fear sells, and that’s exactly what he’s selling. Not facts or reality. Not knowledge or ideas — just fear.
So before he goes off bashing Chris Christie for acting in a deplorable manner, he might want to first look in the mirror. Because while Christie might be a “piece of trash” for his actions, millions of Americans think the very same thing about him.
