Bachmann Gone Wild: Insane Congresswoman says Obama Close to “Dictatorship” and is “Impeachable”

Michelle BachmannIn the  world of the Republican party, November 6, 2012 must have never happened.  For the rest of us, we know that to be the night that President Obama was overwhelmingly re-elected President of the United States. Also, Democrats gained back some seats in both the House and the Senate.

Despite those facts, people like Michele Bachmann continue to live in a delusional reality where somehow Obama became president through some sort of magic trick.

During a conference call sponsored by, Bachmann once again proved that she’s one of the most ridiculous members of Congress our country has ever witnessed.

Rep. Bachmann asked if our country is “going to be totally devolved into a dictatorship under somebody like Barack Obama,” and claimed we need to get back to being a “constitutional republic.”

Funny, isn’t one of the key aspects of being a “constitutional republic” the fact that elections matter?  Because that’s something Republicans seem to not care about.

How exactly is President Obama acting like anything close to a dictator?  A health care bill was passed by Congress, signed by the president into law and upheld by the Supreme Court.  Then the American people re-elected the president who signed that law and gave more seats in Congress back to the party which supports the law.

Yet somehow expecting this law to be implemented makes President Obama a dictator?  This is an “impeachable” offense?  Are you kidding me?

You know what should be illegal and an offense worthy of being removed from office?  The actions taken by Speaker of the House John Boehner in blocking the House of Representatives from being able to vote on a clean version of the resolution the Senate sent over before the government shutdown.

Talk about acting like a dictator.  One man is keeping the House from voting (and passing) a resolution which the Senate has signed off on and the president would immediately sign—which would reopen our government.

But President Obama is acting like a dictator and impeachment should be discussed?

With every comment I read from Michele Bachmann I question whether or not she’s actually legally sane.  I really doubt she is.  This woman seems so batshit crazy that it’s astounding she somehow got elected to public office.  But her position in Congress is a true statement on just how radically delusional tea party Republicans truly are.

Because she’s extremely popular with the tea party.  In fact, in many ways, she’s exactly what the tea party wants our government to be comprised of.  Which is a terrifying thought.

I really don’t believe Michele Bachmann has a clue how life works, let alone our government.

  • Tillmann Puschka

they say these stupid things because their aim is to appeal to the most stupid people among the U.S. population, and it works out pretty well for them.

    • Pipercat

Moreover, she is in some deep kim chi with the ethics committee. I think a lot of this is for show and diversion…

  • maddie

Don’t you people see? Every day I see accounts of congressmen/women who think just like her…. the thing is she’s right. Obama has broken national law dozens upon dozens of times, yet we chose to rally with him! I see this even more so recently, with the media putting such a negative spin on all of those who oppose, calling them “crazy” “nut cases” and “unethical” but they are right! Don’t take my word for it though research yourself! Get away from the yellow page journalism

    • Scooby154

Would you mind naming your sources???

    • Robert Cook

How has he broken national law? Which laws in particular?

    • gemma liar

Poor Maddie … yet another sufferer of ODS: Obama Derangement Syndrome – Manifested by a pronounced inability to positively evaluate
anything done by President Obama … compounded by a conscious unwillingness to honestly evaluate anything done by his predecessor

Maddie – it would be far to easy to point out the failings in your though processes and ability to think in a rational manner. Knowing you obviously consider Fox News a reliable and credible news source speaks volumes about your intellectual capabilities. I suggest you take your own advice and do some research yourself.

List the offenses. List the laws.

      Yeah, I didn’t think so.

      • Meg

She won’t because she can’t. I’ve asked the same question of numerous GOP supporters and FOX News watchers. Silence. Always. The quickest way to end a debate.

    • wilwave

Which dozens of laws has Obama broken? See… this is the crazy kind of lying that Michelle Bachmann uses, and Fox News, also. Their brains are not seated well in reality, and you appear to share that trait.

      • strayaway

On one of the other threads here, Michelle Bachman was talking about the end days. That was over the edge for an elected official as politics and religion don’t mix well. However, I couldn’t figure out, from the article, what exactly she said suggesting that Obamacare was unconstitutional, From the article: “Yet somehow expecting this law to be implemented makes President Obama a dictator? This is an “impeachable” offense?” Does anyone have her quote linking Obamacare to an impeachable offense? She could have made that claim about some other things the President has done but what on earth does Obamacare have to do with an impeachable offense?

In response to your question; Impeachable offences might include overturning laws with executive orders, making laws especially those involving unappropriated expenditures, attacking Libya by executive order although the US wan’t threatened, and ignoring the War Powers Act. However, as long as Congress and the courts say and do nothing, presidents can skate along doing whatever they wish. President Obama isn’t the first president to do so. Article II, sections 2 and 3, subject to judicial interpretation, pretty well specify all presidential powers.Any president exceeding those stated powers is sticking his neck out qualifying himself for impeachment.

      • wilwave

Strataway…what country are you referring to? In the USA the president can’t make or repeal a law; can’t even propose a law. Even executive orders can be overturned by congress. Now if you claim a humanitarian military action in Libya, or Bosnia, is an impeachable offense… I’d hate to hear what would happen if a president willfully lied us into a war that cost trillions and many thousand US troop’s lives… or outed our own spies in time of 2 wars. I’ll give you the answer to that kind of treason – it’s called hanging til death.

Bachmann has called Obama a dictator and said he should be impeached any number of times, for absolutely anything he does – take your pick. She’s batshit crazy and you are defending a fake patriot loon.

      • Pipercat

That’s his usual MO. Create FUD by straw man based on false equivalencies.

      • strayaway

Presidents can’t constitutionally make laws. Only Congress is given that power. We agree on that point. I can’t find anything about executive orders in the Constitution though. Technically, Congress can overturn an executive order though if in session. When is the last time that happened? Presidents do not have the power to waive or overturn the laws of Congress as President Obama did , for instance, with regard to allowing Mexican truckers to use US roads and some of his immigrations orders overriding existing immigration laws. He has acted as if he has been provided with some sort of enabling act for the emergency. I blame Congress for being so lame as to allow him , or Bush for that matter, to get away with such things.

A humanitarian action in Libya is not an impeachable offense but only Congress can declare wars and the War Powers Act was not followed. Yes. I know that Bush and some other presidents have done the same but that isn’t an excuse and it isn’t a comfort for families whose sons or daughters are maimed and killed in these executive actions. Those things are impeachable. At least, Bush observed the War Powers Act. I agree that Bush should be in at least prison for lying.

The article suggests that President Obama should be specifically impeached for Obamacare yet offers no supporting quote proving Bachman said any such thing.

    • theabby

They are most definitely NOT right! What laws, international or otherwise has Obama broken, Einstein? And it’s “yellow journalism”, not yellow page journalism.

  • Shannon

My state, but not my district. She was elected (and re-elected) by the “I got mine, f*ck you!” crowd. In their way of thinking, the only purpose the US gov’t has, is as a standing military reserve for Israel. Oh, and Maddie (below): One benchmark of a cult – Faux News – is to insist that all reliable information sources are lying to you. Please seek help.

  • atunionbob

    She is just plain NUTS.

  • openlyblack

Aren’t her 15 minutes up yet?

    • Windlasher

Unfortunately it took a while for Minnesotans to realize what a whacko she is. She’s not running again “for other pursuits” i.e. “I’ve said way too much dumb shit over the years and the jig is up.”

  • Aubrey Flock

I really feel that these people are a result of inbreeding. It is said that inbreeding reduces the thinking process and slows the mind.

  • Precious_Roy

I don’t feel anything bad for her. She’s just Ann Coulter with a different head on.

    • Windlasher

At least Ann is doable. What’s Bachman useful for?

      • Joe M.

I’d nail her, so long as she didn’t talk.

      • Malfouka Malfouka

        Misogynistic bullshit is bullshit.

      • Windlasher

Do you have anything about the actual subject to say other than slamming guys for making a joke or are you just trolling to deal with your daddy issues?

      • Malfouka Malfouka

Fuck you asshole. I have a long and thoughtful history condemning Teatards and other assorted jerks. But what I do not tolerate is misogyny and sexism and rapist bullshit. You wanna call Bachmann out for being a looney-toons dumb-shit, fine, but when you bring woman-hating, gender-based garbage (masquerading as a “joke”) into the equation, fuck yes, I’m going to call you on it.

      • KayGee

Dude, props. Why don’t people realize that this is the same sexist game the ReThug pundits play on their forums?? If you go to the more popular/active Teapublican blogs, all their threads dealing with women in the Dem/Lib/AnyoneThatsNotFarRightWacko camp ALWAYS turns into a bunch of disgusting comments about how ugly and trashy she is, and then something about all the abortions and lesbian sex she’s had. Let’s not be like that over here.

      • Windlasher

So the answer is no then?

      • Windlasher

So I was right! – You are a Troll –

        From your twitter feed:
“You know you’re depressed when you don’t even feel like trolling your favourite Teatard, MRA, and assorted dumbass websites.”

If it walks like a duck…

      • Malfouka Malfouka

Not trolling. I’m here calling you an asshole because you ARE an asshole.

I realise misogynists don’t deal well with criticism because, at the core, they are insecure and damaged–or maybe they’re just nit-witted cretins.

      • Windlasher

You like that word don’t you. You use it a lot here and on your twitter feed. That’s ok. It’s a good word. Listen, Ill be out in SF in a few weeks. We should do lunch. But lets agree right now that you will pay and open your own fucking doors. I would hate for you to accuse me of Misogyny because you ASSUMED that I ASSUMED that you had no money or weren’t strong enough to open the door on your own.

      • Windlasher

And by the the way sweetie. Please post a picture of your ass so I can recognize you when we meet for lunch. I like the dark haired EMO thing you got going, but it doesn’t do justice to an ass that can stop traffic.

      • Malfouka Malfouka

Yes, treating women as sexual objects is a great way to make your point.

      • Windlasher

Sooooo, I can call her anything I want as long as sex doesn’t figure into it then right? Your issues not mine!

      • decreator

Hello America. This is why the idiots are in charge! ^^^^^

      • Windlasher

If you have not been here…. you don’t get to bitch!

      • decreator

I don’t need to be “there” in order to respond to your juvenile comment, which is what I did. Your comment to me would make sense if I was addressing Bachmann, and even if I was, I’m an American and “there” is part of America. Her actions affect all of America, not just “there.” Get some perspective.

      • decreator

  • patty

Wonder if she knows if we were under a dictatorship she wouldn’t be able to say theses kinds of things.

I thought the Presidential election was decided way back in November of 2014. Did Republicans not get the memo?

  • I’d heard that the US Presidential election was over. Did no one cc the Republicans in on the memo?

FYI — You referenced “TeaParty.Net” when I think you meant “TeaParty.Org.” The “TeaParty.Net” site appears to be owned by a British gentleman who’s trying hard to diassociate himself from any Tea Party except the Mad Hatter’s.

  • speakoutforscience

We shouldn’t fear a dictatorship. What we should fear is the fact that we’ve become an oligarchy, where the average person has very little impact (except en masse) on our government.

  • Keith G. Cooper

Batshit Crazy Woman! That says it all about Bachmann and the entire Republican Party. These people have lost their fucking minds!

  • Kien Tran

Even if he were impeachable, does she even realize how hard it is to do it? In our History we’ve never successfully removed a sitting president from office. NEVER! The closest we ever came was with Richard Nixon. That time he was such a (pardon the pun) “Richard” that his removal was almost assured. Which is why he resigned. Obama is nowhere near his level of bastardom. Is she for real?

  • william

like to be a fly on the wall if she ever meets Charlie Manson,, LOL

These extreme Republicans have all listened to too much Alex Jones. They believe there is some big conspiracy. The same old, “The Russians are coming.” When people believe they are “under attack” by the Bildebergs, Illuminati, Free Masons, “Satan” etc., etc., they feel like they have to take extreme measures to “protect” themselves. They have no clue that it is all an illusion…or manipulation…
