By now most of you have probably heard about the comments Karl Rove made implying that Hillary Clinton surely had to suffer brain damage following her concussion a couple of years ago. Because, you know, he’s a doctor and all.
If he wants to talk about someone possibly having brain damage, I think we should start with someone who supported George W. Bush for Governor of Texas and President of the United States, then claimed Mitt Romney was headed for an easy victory over President Obama in 2012. That person is clearly suffering from some kind of mental instability.
Well, Bill Clinton was asked about Rove’s comments and his response was pretty hilarious.
The former president said, “Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. First they say she faked her concussion; now they say she’s auditioning for a part on ‘The Walking Dead’!”
And the part about conservatives claiming she faked her concussion is true. When it happened, quite a few conservatives came out claiming that she was faking the whole thing to avoid testifying about Benghazi. Now apparently they’re going to try to use the concussion many of them claim she faked against her?
Then again these are many of the same people who’ve accused President Obama of somehow being some radical Christian and Christian-hating Muslim at the same time. Try to figure that one out if you can.
They’re also the people who claim to be “fiscally conservative” yet haven’t had a president from their party balance the budget since Eisenhower in the 1950’s. I’ve still never had a single conservative explain to me how Reagan is a “conservative icon” while tripling our national debt.
Sadly, these attacks on Hillary Clinton are only going to get worse and even more disgusting. They’re going to do everything they can in these next two years to drag her through the mud hoping that it might deter her from running, or deter people from voting for her in 2016.
But I don’t believe it’s going to work. And come 2016 we’ll be electing our second President Clinton when Hillary is elected our first female president in United States history.
