Chris Matthews Nails It: “It’s Hatred,” Not Politics Behind Strong GOP Opposition to President Obama

chris-matthewsSomething I (as well as many other liberals) have been saying for years was plainly stated by Chris Matthews on the Rachel Maddow Show last night.  Matthews didn’t hold back when he said it was “hatred,” not politics, that’s fueling such intense opposition to President Obama.

And it’s the truth.  While Democrats and Republicans have always bickered, I’ve never seen such a level of vile hatred as I have since President Obama was elected in 2008.  It’s just blind, unwavering disdain for a man many Republicans can’t even list five factual statements about.

Living in Texas, I can’t count the times I’ve heard negative comments against the president.  Not intellectual comments based on some kind of factual information, but comments made from sheer ignorance and misinformation.  And the kicker is, when you make these people aware that what they believe isn’t actually true—they simply don’t care.

It’s like a saying I’ve heard quite a few times since Barack Obama became president — “Republicans hate Obama more than they love America.”  Now, it’s up for debate whether or not they actually love America.  I maintain they love a version of the United States they wished existed but doesn’t—but that’s a topic for another article.

But I really do feel that these people hate President Obama to such an irrational level that they would rather see this country burn to the ground if it meant they got to oppose something he supports.  They don’t care about facts or reality, they hate Obama.

And that’s all that seems to matter.

Oh, the government was shut down for a pointless reason?  Who cares.  We hate Obama.

The United States almost defaulted on its debt for the first time in history, causing possible economic catastrophe which might hurt the lives of millions of Americans?  Who cares.  We hate Obama.

Hell, I remember when we killed Osama bin Ladin — even at a point which should have been apolitical, many of them quickly went into “Obama deserves no credit” mode to oppose giving him any credit.  Some basically said that since he didn’t pull the trigger, he didn’t deserve any credit for anything.  Even at a point where our country finally got the most wanted man in the world, Republicans found a way to try to attack Obama.

I really feel that if President Obama ran into a burning building to save 25 orphans, Republicans would find a way to attack him for trying to put firefighters out of business, or some other asinine response.

Where does this hatred come from?  Well, undoubtedly it comes from the fact that he’s half black.  Sure, Republicans will fight tooth and nail to claim that his race has nothing to do with their hatred toward him, but they’re full of crap.

I live in Texas, I see the racism constantly.  I can’t count how many times I’ve heard President Obama called some kind of derogatory name for African Americans.  Now, I’m not saying all Republicans who oppose President Obama are racists, but I do believe a large part of the opposition to him (especially from the tea party) has to do with his race.

Another area where I think this blind hatred comes from is the right-wing media machine which specializes in creating irrational fear and paranoia about whatever they wish to attack.  Republicans might not be good at many things, but they are masters at propaganda and pushing a simple, and consistent, message to their voters.  If Fox News is pushing it, I can almost assuredly expect to see my Republicans friends repeating those same talking points very soon.  Whatever the right-wing media tells them to think or do, they follow.

And that’s how we get to where we are now.  Millions of Americans with such an intense hatred for one man that no amount of facts, reality, common sense or logic will change their minds on anything.

Because like Chris Matthews said, it’s no longer about politics.  It’s about a pure, unwavering “hatred” of President Obama.

I really believe many of these Republicans would rather see this country reduced to ashes rather than get behind anything the president supports.

you hit the nail on the head!

  • Evie Rodriguez

I agree. I am so tired of it. Bush sent 5,000 + people to their deaths in two wars and he still does not get as much hate as Obama does. I have honestly said I cannot wait until Obama is out of office, not because I do not like him, but because of all the stupidity floating around. It gets to a point where looking at it is exhausting.

    • Angela Walker

But let’s face it. That is what the right wing corporatists are counting on, your exhaustion. They know they have no ideas so they keep spewing hate in an attempt to wear you down, make you sick of the political process.

    • HONORA K GREEN

I WISH I COULD VOTE FOR HIM AGAIN, JUST TO PISS THESE IDIOTS OFF, AND SHOW THEN THEY DON’R HAVE A CLUE WHAT MOST AMERICANS WANT, HOW FAR FROM THE TRUTH COULD THEY GET?.

  • MMM

I live in PA and it is totally obvious here that those who “hate” our President do so based on racism. Makes me sick to my stomach.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

You want racisim all need to listen to is Sharpton, Jackson and rev. Wright the peace preacher Obama learned from..

      • Angela Walker

You mean a black man, Jesse Jackson for instance, standing up for himself in the face of racism constitutes racism?

Wow. That’s a standard Tea Party line, easy to sell as a “get out of jail free” card to dim racists.

And I guess you bought one for yourself. 😀

      • Name

Right on A, I could not have said it better. He really put himself out there didn’t he.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Can you say something nice about SHARPTON? You are blind. Come live in Chicago to see racisim .

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Come and live in Illinois to find out how racist Jessy is. You forgot the biggest racist in the world. SHARPTON. Ashamed of his lies and rants.

      • Jim

Actually, my co-worker from Texas who called Obama a “spear-chucker”, a “gorilla”, and a “ni**er” is much more relevant, pal.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Hey LIAR. Did you get that name from the democrat party. He is a liar protected by MSNBC and main stream media.

      • gemma liar

actually; gemma is a CHRISTIAN Italian ( gemma marie vozza born south fla july 25 1965) that I was dumping my nutsack into while she was single AND married— I caught her CHRISTIAN self in a few lies; ergo my moniker “honoring” her. –any other things U want to be shot out of the sky over? Look her up on facebook if U want……… funny how small dicked trash such as U keep crying

      • Giershift43

At least that puts it out front. He makes his issue clear instead of denying it. Just racism and hatred, not reason.

      • Evie Rodriguez

The reality is that Obama scares the crap out of people. He represents the face of change. I do not back him 100%, but to look at him reminds you that certain people may not be in total control anymore.

      • thrsalimit

that is why he won in a landslide right…[email protected]!

  • Pipercat

Hey pal, just wait till next year and the ordeal to replace Bigus Rickus Perry gets fully revved up! Misogyny runs a very close second to fear of excessive melanin in the skin. It occurs to me, the Republican Party has become the Life cereal Mikey of contemporary politics. “They wont like it, they hate everything.”

    • Kate Karwowska

      Wendy Davis for Governor!

      • John H. Ruszkowski

        For a dog catcher.

  • estfar

Finally the truth is out of the bag. Yes, I’ve been saying that from the time he came into the presidency. But like Jackie Robinson, they can hate all they want, the world will continue to move away from that demented thought. America was never an ideal place, only in that group’s mind and the 50’s were a perfect time for them, but it ain’t the 50’s no more and we will soon have a woman in office and then a real Latino, not some clown named Cruz.

    • Tom Cederberg

If you’re talking about Hillary I question the use of the term woman. Obviously her complete mishandling and LIES about Benghazi plus her famous “What does it matter” rant have not sunk in with you. We may have a woman President soon but god help us if her name is Clinton.

      • thrsalimit

It sure won’t be that dummy Palin!

      • HONORA K GREEN

DUMBEST WOMAN I HAVE EVER SEEN, A T.V. HO, AND M.B? HAHAHAH NEVER, YOU AND ME STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED OVER THERE, THE ONE WHO DID THIS THING? THE TERRORISTS. DON’T BLAME HILLERY.

    • Richie Rich

Note that during their Idyllic time the tax rates on the wealthiest Americans was over 90%… Let’s bring back OUR version of the 50’s

    • Insanitydividedby0

The problem is also that they always refer to the ideal time as old TV shows like Leave it to Beaver, etc. What I don’t think they understand or want to understand is that those were TV shows and not real life. Real life has never been perfect, maybe for rich white men but under the surface there was a lot of dirt and things weren’t so pretty.

    • HONORA K GREEN

I LOVE HOW THEY SAY THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON GOOD CHRISTIAN BELIEFS, HAHAHAH IT WAS FOUNDED ON TAKE WHAT YOU WANT AND LEAVE THE REST, ON THE RAPEOF A PEOPLE THAT WHERE HERE ALREADY, AND BECAUSE THEY LOOKED DIFFERENT HATED THEM AS WELL, GOOD CHRISTIAN BELIEFS HAHAHAHAAHAH

  • Anthonij

I repeat myself but this is how I see it…

    1 The President is half-black.

2 He is an intellectual — highly educated (Columbia, Harvard), then taught at the Univerity of Chicago Law School… all among the world’s most elite academic institutions… Plus, he is extremely eloquent, with a calm demeanour, so that his intellectual gifts are always on display…

Americans in general dislike intellectuals and right-wing morons, whose agenda is based on ignorance and stupidity, hate them all the more. Combine that hate with the widespread racism that exists among the Baggers and (Pseudo-)Christian right and it’s easy to understand their hatred of President Obama.

Especially when one considers the backdrop to this all — the privaleged white loonies and their fellow-travellers are in panic mode because they know the demographics of the country are changing. They fear losing their privileged position.

Unfortunately, the average Bagger is too stupid to realise that the real threat to them and everyone else comes from the corporate scum (e.g. the Koch Brothers) that funds their moronic movement while seeking to turn all of us into politically castrated consumers to populate the oligarchy they crave.

    • TheTruth

Amazing.. Guess we see who the hater is here…. real classy.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

Obama is the biggest phony of them all.

      • Angela Walker

Notice how the Tea types never have a fact to offer? And all their comments simply make the author’s case for him.

Thanks, John. I’m sure the author appreciates your example of what he wrote about 😀

      • Tom Cederberg

Do we have to list all the “phony” scandals. lies and broken promises connected to him or don’t they count. He has done nothing to help this country. His pre election promises about changing Washington and working across the aisle have proven to be nothing but BS. Everything has been his way or not at all. I’d say he’s useless except for the fact that he has proven to be great at screwing everything up including how we are not hated by practically everyone on the planet.

      • Pipercat

Sure, why not! I need to make sure my list is totally up to date!!

      • Giershift43

Oh Did he lead the way to deregulate the banking system and cause financial collapse. Or take us into an un warranted war that cost lives and billions while giving tax breaks to the wealthy and run up the debt. Oh no that was someone else.

      • shigbig

actually, it was under the Clinton administration that the Glass-Stegall Act was rescinded. thus deregulating banks……..both parties are full of crap and its the decline and fall of the Roman Empire all over again

      • Matt Pantages

actually, if the facts matter, the roll back of the banking industry was campaigned for and supported by GHWBushco, and ‘signed’ during the Clinton years..

this was a republican idea, just like NAFTA, oh.. one more thing.. Google ‘The Keating Five’.. if you still think it was a Clinton era democratic idea..

      • strayaway

Obama was not a Senator yet when Bush received a blank check from Congress to decide for himself whether to attack Iraq. Otherwise, Senator/President Obama also supported the Wall Street bailouts, transferred billions of bad paper from banks to taxpayers, toned down but did not eliminate Bush’s tax breaks for the rich, extended Bush’s wars and bombed Libya for good measure, and run up the federal debt more dollars in five years than Bush did in eight. Unemployment is still above 7% and would be worse if the Federal Reserve wasn’t billing our kids $85B/month to keep a sort of happy face on the economy.

All of that aside, President Obama was still probably a better choice than McCain although both wanted to bomb Syria.

      • mjw1952

Please explain how he is supposed to change America when the republicans vote against he every time, even when it was something they initiated. Like the ACA. You know, the health care plan suggested by the conservative Heritage Foundation and signed into law by the repulvian governor and presidential candidate. As soon as Obama suggested it, no. No matter what he says, no matter how many times he compromises, it’s always no. It’s impossible to bargain with these racist idiots who hate him more than they love our country.

      • sour pickles

I hate the idea that every time some one does not agree or criticizes Obama, you people bring on ‘the RACIST’ issue… It seems to me that you people are the racist…. you must have a thing against a white person thinking for themselves, or maybe the person is brown or yellow, whatever, but if one mentions the name Obama, immediately you all cry racist….one does not have to see his color to see and hear his wrongs…his mouth is running all the time…and according to him, it has to be his way or no way…MHO
        .

      • Debbie Lass

Well let me see, the debt ceiling has ALWAYS been raised under all presidents, yet congress says Obama is wrong for raising the ceiling to pay our bills like responsible people.. Reagan(18 times) and busch(7 times) raised it more than it has been raised under Obama…….The record for most filibusters in a presidency is under Obama(3 times) meaning the house has filibustered record high numbers for this president and what he wants to do…..when one looks at how even this liberal President is being treated in extreme ways worse than othe rliberal Presidents were, it no longer has to do with dislike because hes liberal or democrat……it now stems on pure hate. Hate is fueled by racism…..mild dislike or disagreement with ideology has NEVER in all history elicited this much negativity and bad behavior towards any other liberal president…..

      • Raptor

And Senator Obama voted against raising the debt ceiling in 2006 saying it showed a failure in leadership….

      • Debbie Lass

what does that have to do with what I expressed as factual basis of why people say many who HATE Obama so strongly very much seem to have some underlying reason like racism, not just a dislike for liberalism…..he has done nothing character wise to be so hated for personality except to be intelligent and not be bullied easily….

      • guest

sour pickles…you’re an ass. Apparently you don’t have the intelligence to discuss the issues you just don’t like peoples opinions. I don’t live in the US but reading these comments..the ‘other’ side is winning me over.

      • Tom Sapp

everyday in the news some senator, judge, state legislator, state wide and federal, is in the news spouting some racist, homophobic, or sexist remark. and your last sentence described the republican party to a t. if you don’t like the fact that your party is beyond bigoted, than speak out against them, or you are the same

      • mmp

Wow!! What is meant by “you people?” This demonstrates your racist mind set. Your statement has no facts. Maybe you need to watch more of fox news and get your lies straight.

      • Mr. Bishop

Please, please read the article again. Notice how this was not based entirely on personal opinion, but also on ACTUAL COMMENTS made about the President. I too have had statements made to me by someone who mis-judged my position…statements like “we had better buy guns and prepare to take back the White House” (made by a white person after the election and BEFORE Obama took office). If you don’t like him because of his politics..that’s not racist. But this isn’t about his politics. This is about people, yes real people, who believe it is just wrong for a black man to live in the White House and be the President Of The United States Of America. They are out there and there are a lot of them. Reality!

      • mjw1952

If you had actually read mo post you would realize you are wrong. This was a republican plan. They only hate it because it was proposed by a black man. Look at all ther raist e-mails that go around about him. Look at the signs at tea party rallies. Look at the birther controversy. All because he is black.

      • BlueCornMoon

Right! They vote against their own ideas when he says them. They can’t call him the n word without showing their true colors ( like we haven’t guessed them already,LOL!) so they resort to codewords & phrases like secretly a Muslim, socialist, anti American, not born in this country, not a citizen, really a Kenyan, against the constitution, & other crap. If he were in favor of clean air they’d vote for toxic smog !! What really kills them is that once that Affordable healthcare takes hold, it will always be called OBAMAcare & that will be his legacy & part of American history. Some of those bigots would rather let millions, including their own moms ,die from lack of health care than to accept a health plan set up by a black man. That is about as SAD as it gets.

      • slappymagoo

Funny, in interview after interview, Obama said he was willing to work across the aisle to find bipartisan solutions to the problems that plague our economy and our nation, but he wouldn’t do it under the pretense of a hostage negotiation. He supported a health care agenda created by The Heritage Foundation, he’s done precious little to close Gitmo, he hired far more Republicans for his staff than Bush hired Democrats, he’s done little to hold Wall Street accountable for the ’08 crash…but Republicans still insist he’s done nothing to work with them.
        Maybe because they’re f*cking racists.

      • Scaramongus

        You people? Oo

      • CatAdvocate2

You are right, sour pickles……you “hate the idea”…and it is YOUR IDEA.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

First two years of his presidency he had control of both houses. What did he do? He was osrsed with the failed Obamacare. Way to go. I hope that all idiots that voted for him will see their insurance costs double.

      • Gary Miles

And yet, many people who couldn’t afford insurance before can now afford to be covered. So, once again, a lie from the right.

      • Thomas

That list is not of “scandals”. It’s “Scandal Witch Hunts ” and lies.

      • HONORA K GREEN

THE PRESIDENT CAN ONLY DO WHAT THE IDIOTS IN THE HOUSE VOTE ON, ALL PRESIDENTS PROMISE THINGS, AND YOU MUST BE SAYING BUSH DIDN’T PROMISE A THING, HAHAHAHAHA THAT NUT PROMISED ALL HIS CRONIES HE’S MAKE SURE THEY WOULDN’T HAVE TO PAY THE KIND OF TAXES THE REST OF US 99% ERS HAVE TO, HE MADE IT SO THEY COULD HIDE THERE MONEY OFF SHORE, BUT I GUESS YOUR SAYING HE WAS PERFECT. WELL MY DEAR, NO ONE IS, BUT YOUR ONE OF THOSE THAT JUST DON’T WANT TO GIVE HIM A CHANCE, …….MAYBE YOUR MONEY IS ON THE LINE.

      • strayaway

PRESIDENT OBAMA CAN TRUMP ALL THAT IF HE SUCCEEDS IN PASSING THE TRANS PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP.

      • Sue Roediger

you want lies, and scandals — google Bush

      • Debbie Lass

Reach across an aisle to people who handcuff you at the extention of your hand? please. There is no possibility of his reaching across the aisle working, and yes he has tried, you just don’t see it because the republicans blocked everything he has done. How about you complain our tax dollars go to pay congress who makes three times as much as average americans and they haven’t done their job! How about you look at the fact the speaker of the house stated they would block anything this man does as president? how about you look at how they rigged the house changing the ability for all members of house to have democracy and only allow that to be by the speaker of the house. This just don’t on October 1, 2013 and doing so causes the gov to remain shut down……How about the time and dollars wasted trying to impeach the president for something that is clearly and provably more the fault of the republicans……the gov shut down.

      • Tom Sapp

how can you work across the isle when the other side of the aisle is their way or the highway. this government shut down is proof in point. get your facts straight. your side of the aisle, has done nothing. the only thing they have done is try to appeal the affordable health care act they did absolutely nothing to boost the economy or to create jobs. they only did what was important to the wealthy 1%…..facts don’t lie

      • Mr. Bishop

Tom, here’s the deal. No matter what he promised, try as he might, he cannot do it all without the support of congress. Now with a House that is full of folks who have already stated for the record that they want/wanted him to fail, how on earth do you imagine he is going to be able to do everything promised while respecting the office and constitution? You see it can’t be his way or not at all as you post because he HAS to try to work with congress to do almost everything. So, here’s the game plan: wait until the President tries to get something done, then fight it until it doesn’t pass, then blame the President. You get it now? Please read the article again…slowly this time.

      • ron

tomm its idiots like you that are destroying this country

      • slappymagoo

“Do we have to list all the “phony” scandals. lies and broken promises connected to him or don’t they count.” If you want us to know exactly what is gueling your rage, then yes, please, list all the phony scandals lies and broken promises.

      • Gor’Sheth Bo’Chal’Dor

are you retarded evil or just full or shit? His way or the highway? the guy that was willing to meet the republicans at every pass and compromise and every time THEY refused? He compromised alot one the ACA republicans refused the public option and demanded an insurance mandate instead he did that, and still they refused. He has been more than willing to meet MORE than halfway across the isle, its been the klan, er I mean the go Tea Party that has been the bad guy the whole time.

      • Brian

No more scandals or lies than any other president. Do we have to bring up Reagan’s high treason? Bush being a war criminal?
Everything has been his war or not at all? Bull. You haven’t kept up with the last four years of politics and it shows.

      • Jim

Ad hominem nonsense. Get a grip and grow up, pal.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

        Liberal troll.

      • Debbie Lass

LOL now that’s stupidity and balls to call someone a liberal troll on a comments section about a liberal journalist from MSNBC…..the “troll” is you pumpkin…as most responders are liberal here lol. I am middle of the road independent…..but I can certainly see most responders are liberal, thus making YOU the troll…..moron…

      • John H. Ruszkowski

I see all liberals as mentally sick following liars like lemmings. Their noses are stuck at Obozos rear end that the stench has blinded them to the constant lies by Obozo and likes of Harry and Nancy. The smell probably has deteriorated their brains to the point they they can’t tell black from white. All they see is pinko lies. You are bunch of morons and I hope in the end you will get financially screwed by your emperor Obozo. Enjoy your Obamacare and his taxes. Idiots.

      • jkld

        VALID facts, please?

      • John H. Ruszkowski

You have to shit*ing me. Are you blind not to see that the great community organizer has no leadership experience. He is the biggest mistake this country has ever seen. Stop watching MSNBC.

      • jkld

Again, FACTS, not supposition, not assumption. FACTS.
Or do you have a problem supplying FACTS from anything other than whackjob sites?

      • Evie Rodriguez

In what way? He is no more “phony” than any other politician out there.

      • Mikey 444

Really? Can you give an example or are you just spewing this like most tea baggers???

      • HONORA K GREEN

HAHAHAAH, I THINK MICKEY YOU STRUCK A NERVE, GOOD.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Micky bought the lies that Obozo promised.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Another blind liberal. The MSM has brainwashed you.

      • HONORA K GREEN

WELL JOHN YOU MUST BE ALSO, TO LET FEAR GET IN YOUR WAY.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

I am afraid that this clown will ruin this country. I can’t wait for him to go into sun set.

      • Beverly Gjerdahl Lowry

were you in a coma for the 8 years gw bush took to ruin our country

      • John H. Ruszkowski

So what did the great pretender do. He promised hope and change. He promised to have the most honest administration, and on and on……He is the biggest phony that makes Carter look like a great president. Get a life and open your eyes. Don’t live in a dream.

    • David Edwards

So says one of the sheeple

    • HONORA K GREEN

THIS GUY IS RIGTH ON THE MONEY, I HAVE ALWAYS SAID IT’S BECAUSE HE’S HALF BLACK, HELL THEY DON’T EVEN RECOGNIZE THE OTHER PART OF HIM, AND THANKS TO HIM AND THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR HIM (myself included) my son can now want and can be President .ANTHONJI MIGHT NOT HAVE SAID IT THE WAY YOU LIKE IT, BUT TO BAD, THIS IS AMERICA AFTER ALL, AND THE KOCH BROTHERS, WITH THERE NAZI MONEY, ( google them if you think I am just bulls–ting) HAVE BOUGHT THE TEA BAGGERS AND NO BRAINER, IT IS THE RASIST WHITES THAT HATE THE PRESIDENT, BECAUSE THEY FEAR HE WILL SUCEED.

      • sour pickles

Oh my, so you are a RACIST too… unbelievable…. You mention, “they don’t even recognize the other of part of him”… Isn’t it amazing, he doesn’t recognize it either… so most of us have forgotten that he is supposed to be half white…or is he? Has he proven to the world that he has a white mother…? So maybe he is all one race after all…

      • Sue Roediger

In the history of this country if you have any black blood you are “considered” black on the 60’s South he would have had to drink from the colored fountain even if he was with his white mother.

      • altha

@Sue Roediger this is the reason people like you get the buck of GOD’S WRATH.

      • Sue Roediger

seriously? Because of telling the truth ?

      • moe/larry & curly keys

im still waiting for YOUR “gods” wrath————- perhaps it is simply having 2 breathe the same air that white trash scumbags such as U breathe

      • Eddie Higgins

        There is no god !

      • BlueCornMoon

Absolutely! I remember being in the south at that time & there was the “one drop rule”. You could be an absolute blonde, blue eyed ivory skinned Nordic but if your’ 5th great granddad was black, you’d be considered black.

      • JulieRN

Yeah, and we thought things had improved in this country. Very sad to say that there are an awful lot of people who still have ignorant bigoted hearts. And a good measure of stupidity and fear too.

      • Red Roses

Don’t forget if he was with his momma, they would have treated her worse than him.

      • LarryEWells

Are you really that stupid? Because he doesn’t hide his heritage he has to prove his mother is white? Total dumbass!!

      • upbeatred1

You are delusional, pickles. He does recognize that he is white but he identifies as black because that is what color his skin is and that is how others identify him… we’re not talking genetics here… we’re talking physical perception.

      • Andrew Bell

“Rasist Whites”?? First of all, you definitely need grammar lessons.. Secondly, you have a racist demeanor when you say ‘racist whites’ because you are singling out one race. Not all whites are racist and not all racists are white. I can mostly agree with Anthoni’s comment as well but your response was ridiculous.

      • Andrew Bell

I just want to at least list Honora’s errors so that just maybe, they could be able to try to hide their great deal of ignorance..
“Rigth” is supposed to be RIGHT. “BUT TO BAD” is supposed to be TOO not TO. “THERE” is supposed to be THEIR. And I already corrected you on the word racist, you silly racist you. =)

        Just trying to help.

      • nattxn

        Singling / singleing
        nuff said

      • Debbie Lass

wow….you all have spell check and google at your finger tips…it is NOT singleing……it is singling……here is a tip for you and the other 6 idiots who hit like to your message….when typing and it is underlined with a red squiggly line that means there is an error in spelling or punctuation…….Go back to school…Nuff said…..

      • Tom Sapp

so because a person has bad grammar, or has spelling errors. they must be dismissed entirely ? you mr. bell are the idiot. stay on topic

      • Beverly Gjerdahl Lowry

really it seems to me that if grammar is so important maybe our government should stop cutting education. and I agree STAY ON POINT but they cant their is this little thing called facts and they seem to have an issue with that

      • Debbie Lass

there, not their……..and agreed, gov needs to stop making cuts to education…except higher education….they need to some how keep these institutions from charging so much!

      • Debbie Lass

No, but when someone is lacking basic spelling and grammar skills they can come across as not as intelligent, thus, chances are they do not thrive and excel in deep thinking or intellectual issues of a grander scale…..however, all are entitled to their “opinion”. I just will not give much credence to someones opinion who is not better schooled. As being better schooled can often times mean you have a bigger knowledge base of something….limited knowledge base makes it more likely someone can be lacking of information necessary to make the best, most informed view of an issue…..of course, as with everything there are always exceptions to the rule…..

      • Oci_One_Kanubi

You got it Andrew: Honora has shown that she is lacking in writing skills. And you have shown that you are lacking in basic humanity.

To be good at something, one must do it a lot. Evidently Honora doesn’t write Interenet messages a lot. And evidently you don’t exhibit human decency a lot.

        I’d rather be Honora.
        G’day.

      • JulieRN

We all knew what she meant anyway.

      • Hellspawn

        lol

      • nattxn

        But all conservatives are racist.

      • moe/larry & curly keys

all people in America are racist to a certain extent

      • barbara watson

I would say all people are prejudice to a certain extent.

      • Oci_One_Kanubi

Andrew, Honora said “it is the racist whites.” She did not say “it is the whites” and she certainly did not say “all whites are racist.”

You evidently need to work on your reading comprehension skillz. “it is the racist whites” can be accurately paraphrased as “it is that SUBSET of whites who are racist.” She is not saying that it is all whites who hate the President. She is saying that it is those whites who are racist who hate the President.

She is not singling out one race at all. She is singling out that subset of my race who are racist.

I am white and I recognize that it is that (abysmally large) subset of whites who are racist, who hate the President. Does that make me a racist, too? For recognizing the same truth that Honora recognizes (and you apparently do not)?

      • vivianpryce

I think he mentioned GOP supporter and not all of them. Any way Don’t the GOP sees that the country is already broken and is just coming back…

      • GeeOPee

True not all whites are racist and not all racists are white. 40% of white people voted for Obama. Many of us are angry, exhausted and tired by the racism directed at the President and in the US in general. However, when we talk about racism in the USA, historically its been about white supremacy. Whites oppressing other ethnic and racial groups. The Tea Party and GOP is largely white, many of whom are hoodwinked into thinking that getting rid of government programs will teach the “moochers” aka people of color a lesson about “responsibility”.

We can not deny that white racism is one of the driving forces behind the Republican Party’s “southern strategy” and how its been able to win the White House and Congress the past 40 years.

Of course there are people of color willing to sell their souls to give the Republican Party cover for their racism, but that doesn’t change the fact that the Republican Party’s policies are racist to the core & designed to be that way to get out the vote.

      • Rosemarie Bell

        Will? he has..

    • Vanbren5

      Brilliantly stated!

    • Yobama

      Poop

    • Thommy Berlin

      ….and the choir says ‘Amen’…..

    • John H. Ruszkowski

He was never a professor at university of Chicago. Just a guest lecturer. Let’s see his college records. What is he hiding?

    • GeeOPee

I really dislike generalizations about Americans. General dislike of intellectuals is not a characteristic of being American. The USA was founded by intellectuals. Its a characteristic of being an authoritarian, which most Americans are not. Authoritarians make up a quarter of any given population. The problem in the US is that the elites have funded the authoritarians and given them the loudest voice in politics, instead of marginalizing them.

    • JWnFl

How about your non-American scum bag George Soros. Let’s talk about his background. This talk about racism seems to be rampant in the Liberal camp much more than from the Republican side. Who cares what color he is, he is a complete disgrace to American values and could care less about the Constitution.

    • Darron Jacobs

Half black?? here in ameriKKKa no matter who or what a person is

as long as he/she has black blood in him/her he/she will always be a nigger here in this wicked ass stolen land…….

    • gasden

Dan Quayle was chastised for years in the MSM for misspelling potato,
Obama has misstated the word “corpsmen” as corpse men , said there was 57 states, and it’s documented that he limped through the various colleges he attended, but no journalistic integrity ever brought that to light in the MSM, so intellectual he is not, he only pretends to be, like his pretend name, his pretend faith, and his pretend unbiased rhetoric. he’s consistently chimed in on domestic disputes that weren’t even investigated before he gave his biased opinion. So if he was so damn smart, why does he continue to put his foot in his mouth?
By the way , how’s the 25 hundred dollar savings going in your healthcare premium? lol

  • Susan

you hit the nail right on the head Chris!

    • John H. Ruszkowski

He has no head. It is stuck up his a*s.

      • gemma liar

john is crying again,,,,, can U PLEEEEEEEEEZ change his fox “news” diapers??

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Go live in Cuba if you love socialism.

  • cyd602

Yep. And as was stated, many of us already knew this, but even some hardcoded deniers have to accept that this is true.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

      You can’t handle the truth.

      • Angela Walker

And thanks for sharing what the truth actually is, my dim little tea pot 😀

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Hope you are happy with Hope and Change.

      • Jim

        Troll somewhere else, pal.

      • Rebecca Anne Inkster

And you can’t recognize the truth, much, MUCH worse…

      • John H. Ruszkowski

I loved all the 2008 election promises Obama made. How many of them did he keep?

      • gemma liar

john handles the truth every day,,,,its called Hannity and malkin

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Go watch MSLSD and especially Sharpton. Just look at the rating of all those left shows. They are jokes.

  • Marie

They hit it on the NAIL. It was never about politics, but ALWAYS about their hate for a BLACK man. They refuse to take orders from a BLACK man. Damn shame.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

Did this black mane deliver any political promises from his first campaign. NO and NO. He is a charlatan.

      • Spazzy

uh..Affordable Care Act, getting us out of two wars. You know, nothing.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Affordable Care Act. What a joke. You must be deaf and blind to the facts of this biggest joke invented by Obama and the democrats. Out of two wars? Let me see. We are still in Iraq and Afghanistan and he was on verge of starting a new war in Syria. Oh, I forgot the Arab spring. That was a great success (Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia). Did I forget the fu*ck up in Beghazi. Nice going Obama. I love his international political experience. Don’t forget how Putin made him look like an Idiot. What a failed president. Take your nose out of his ass and you may see reality as it is.

      • Debbie Lass

that’s not what you said…you stated he didn’t live up to any campaign promises and he in fact has…..makes you the liar I am afraid…..

      • jkld

        And the TP isn’t?

      • Jim

        Seek help.

      • fearn2

look back on his political promises and you can plainly see that he has tried to the best of his ability (while fighting hating Republicans) to honor everything!

      • Rebecca Anne Inkster

Actually, several, yes, and the ones he didn’t were because the idiot teabaggers did EVERYTHING they could to block ANYTHING he tried to do so when the stopped something they could whine “See, he hasn’t done anything!” And when he actually gets something past the GOP/teabagger scumbags, it’s “He is going too far, he does too much!!” The rest of us see your bigoted hatefulness for what it is, but nice try!

    • Lamont B Dumont

      Negroauthoriphobia

  • wendy

So very pathetic and sad that this day and age despite more awareness at our fingertips, people are still hated just for being born! Deeply ashamed to be in the same species! Especially when bigots blatently have the constitutional right destroy all of our lives from their ignorance

  • anarchy45

I campaigned for Obama. Hosted fundraisers. Called voters in Texas. Froze my ass off in 2009 to see him inaugurated…

He’s a piece of shit. I thought we couldn’t lose freedoms any faster than we did under George Dubya. Not even close!

Obama is a joke, and a most unimpressive person. People have damn good reason to hate him.

    • JoMama

      Such as?

    • Snowbird

^ says a person with anarchy as a name. Being a Canadian I think Obama is the best president you’ve ever had but some Americans can’t see past the colour of his skin.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Do you pray to him every night or maybe you build a nice chapel and burn candles. Idiots like you see him as a messiah.

      • Snowbird

Take your blinders off. There’s a whole world to see beyond your basement bedroom.

      • jkld

And you pray to the TP, eh?

      • gemma liar

I hope john gets new diapers soon

    • RJB, PhD

What freedoms have you lost? Please, share?

      • JoMama

That’s the whole point of the article. People who don’t like him say “He’s done terrible things,” or “He’s ruining our country!” But when pressed for specifics they either say nothing or make claims that are baseless.

      • Terry

I guess it always has to come down to race. It can never be that people don’t agree with his policies. Policies that have put us in the position where we have to keep raising the debt ceiling to keep up with the spending.

It is the Democrats that are not willing to negotiate. What is wrong with a delay on implementing something (ACA) that is not ready. What is wrong with a delay on a medical device TAX?

This President is the most partisan President in a very long time. He is the one controlling the Democrats in Congress and not allowing them to negotiate. If he were the CEO of a company, he would have been fired a long time ago.

      • RJB, PhD

“Policies that have put us in the position where we have to keep raising the debt ceiling to keep up with the spending.”

Your entire argument is now invalid. The debt ceiling has been raised by EVERY President since its inception. Damn, do some damn research before you start your whole argument with a falsehood. You could at least have read other comments that had already INVALIDATED your point. This is exactly the stupidity that has lead our country to this point. And its really, really starting to piss me the fcuk off!

      • Pipercat

No reason to get angry over the propaganda; they left a a trail of treachery behind them. Save that for actions themselves. All the Rovian projection fallacies one can eat cannot hide the tracks they left behind…

      • John H. Ruszkowski

The debt has double since he became president and what has he show us?

      • RJB, PhD

Well, clearly ‘he’ nor anyone else has shown you how to proofread.

More to the point, ‘he’ rescued two of our major car companies, he stopped the downhill slide into depression, he increased (well, until the House fought against it) the federal investment in STEM fields and progression towards wind energy (which, by the way, is even endorsed by T. Boone Pickens).

I’d continue, but I have some work to do.

      • paul_q

        “not allowing them to negotiate”

i have a couple of questions:

        1. if i walk up to your house and ring the doorbell and when you answer i say “i’ve decided i’m not going to urinate on your lawn” am i compromising?

        2. what happens if i walk up to your house and ring the doorbell and when you answer i say “i’m going to urinate on your lawn unless you give me your T.V.” when you say that’s insane and threaten to call the cops, am i logical when i say that, “well, you’re not negotiating with me?”

      • Rebecca Anne Inkster

Well, Jo, that’s because they are desperately trying to not just call him a nigger and be TOTALLY obvious in their motivations!

      • Benny

He lost his freedom to get treated when he gets sick, he lost his right to be denied health insurance just because he had a STD when he was 18… You know those.

      • RJB, PhD

Aaah! Thanks for the clarification. 🙂

      • gemma liar

we lost the freedom to have a WHITE HOUSE,,,,,, as regressive white trash tea party scum cry and bemoan a black president ( see: glen beck and rush Limbaugh)

      • John H. Ruszkowski

The savior of the world has given coolaid to all.

    • Angela Walker

No one, anarchy, is going to buy your silly “I yoosta be a liberal” story. Go sell it to the Tea Party. They’ve shown they’re willing to buy just about any cockamamie tripe.

      • gemma liar

anarchy yooosta be an embryo. now hes a rooster

    • Rebecca Anne Inkster

“I campaigned for Obama. Hosted fundraisers. Called voters in Texas. Froze my ass off in 2009 to see him inaugurated…”
Yeah, how completely obviously bullshit is THAT considering the rest of the post…

      • gemma liar

I used to walk on water and unscramble eggs,,,,, as with anarchy U cannot disprove that

    • Kate Karwowska

Dislike? OK, sure. But, HATE? That’s a pretty strong emotion.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

I am glad to see that you have seen what a clown and joke he is and was.

  • LLaurie

And even if Obama DID pull the trigger on Bin Laden, I’m willing to bet the GOP would credit the gun itself before they credited him. Yes, it goes in the face of their favourite mantra when it comes to guns–“guns don’t kill people, people kill people”–but it wouldn’t surprise me to see them pull a 180 /just because it’s Obama/.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

Obama was not in the room watching the action.

      • Pipercat

        … but, you were?

      • gemma liar

john was bizzzzieee spanking his monkey to sarah palin and michelle ‘no tits and hates life over that’ malkin videos

      • John H. Ruszkowski

      • jkld

Really? Even tho there’s documented PROOF otherwise?

      • marciamaria

RIght, I’m sure he was at the movies somewhere oblivious to what was going on in the viewing room. LOL

      • Rebecca Anne Inkster

So WHAT?? All he needed was to be updated on what was going on if there was any change! And besides, at least he didn’t stay for a photo-op instead of getting his ass in gear when told the country was under attack, like Dubya did!

    • Giershift43

How do take back our government? My congressman can’t vote because they have fixed the rules. I am indirectly being denied representation as are we all.

  • Fatima Skalski

I couldn’t have stated it more eloquently. I have been trying to explain it myself – so simple – yet so complicated …. PURE HATRED

  • John H. Ruszkowski

Obama is a thug from Chicago. No experience for the job. The country is run like Chicago. Fear and threats are his style. Guy is the biggest mistake that the US has seen. Time will tell but he will be worst than Carter.

    • Pipercat

Love the picture of Ron Paul…

    • Angela Walker

Carter beat Bush hands down. And Carter beat Reagan by a mile if you’re willing to take an honest look at all the crap that went down during his administration.
But just keep parroting those far right talking points, pookie. It’s not like we haven’t heard them over and over again, sans factual evidence, from other dim Tea types many times before.

      • fearn2

I get so tired of Reagan the Greatest! If you go back and stick to facts, he started the downfall of the American workers by making the taxes for the wealthy disappear. He made Corporations into the greedy bloodsuckers they are today…and yeas I did my homework and looked at facts!

      • gemma liar

Reagan dropped the berlin wall so he could ship all of our jobs overseas and sell our debt to asia

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Maybe Obama should start blaming Reagan. Blaming Bush is getting old.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Carter beat Reagan. You must be joking. Did you like the high inflation. Carters debacle with Iran speaks volumes. Get a grip on reality.

    • Ericka James

John, first of all, no one has the experience to be President except maybe the incumbent President. The experience and the gray hairs come with the extensive on the job training that every President must go through. And you are wrong that President Obama is the biggest mistake that the U.S. has seen. That distinct honor goes to the Repubs for allowing the TP’s to bully and hold everyone hostage while Ted Cruz and others like him grandstand for self promotion. Finally, as to your “time will tell but he will be the worst(sp) than Carter” remark, clearly you have forgotten the debacle called the Nixon era, then the stupidity of the nonexistent WMD that propelled our country into two wars with thousands of lives lost and billions of dollars borrowed to finance said wars by Bush. I would tell you to open your eyes, but it is clear to me and many others herein that you are the epitome of “ignorance is bliss” and in your case, you must be happy as a kid in a toy store!

      • John H. Ruszkowski

OBAMA was an organizer and as state senator he was kissing Medigans ass. As a US senator he was one of the worst because of his lack of experience. He is a thug from Chicago. Come and live in Chicago and maybe you will know the what kind of politicians we have.

    • paul_q

      wow, what anger you have!

doesn’t being the editor of harvard law review count as some sort of experience? do you have a clue as to how difficult that accomplishment is to achieve?

your tank is really that empty on love and empathy? you can’t think of one positive thing about the man?

  • Angela Walker

Reminds me of a line from Game of Thrones regarding the Littlefinger character: “He would see this country burn if he could be the king of the ashes”

Sounds very much like the Tea Party philosophy.

    • Terry

Actually, that is what Obama is doing.

      • jkld

Really? And how is that? After all, the MAJORITY, not the minority reelected him.
Or can’t you and your kind handle that?

      • pr

That just shows you the things and times are changing and they can’t handle the truth.

      • independant

Nearly half the country voted against him too. Take away the votes dependant on his food stamps, welfare, etc. …..And He Loses!. His legacy will be one of the worst in history.

      • jkld

So, just because someone is on food stamps devalues that person’s vote vs a person who has $ and is rich (who, in your pov, is worth more)?
A VOTE is a VOTE is a VOTE.
Note – the 14th Amendment did away with slavery and the 3/5s person value.
Prehaps you don’t understand the word HYPOCRITE, do you?

      • Nancy

The richest and most highly educated “Blue States” who give the most to the federal government, with the least in return consistently vote democratic. It’s the deep red states with the highest level of food stamp recipients ( majority of who are white btw) and the highest amount of uneducated voters are the ones who vote for republicans.

      • jkld

Which makes the other poster’s comments whacked. One doesn’t devalue a vote simply because of economics. And I used the 14th Amendment as an example that 1 person’s vote is = to another’s, not that 1 is less than another’s simply because of economics.
And I think it’s HIGHLY ironic that, as you said, some of the poorest states are RED states and they are the most on welfare.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Just look at some of the bankrupt blue states like NY, Il, CA, MN….Not your typical success story.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

If you are dependent on government, will you vote for a candidate who tells you to get a job?

      • Bay Area Voter

This is so ridiculous. He won by a landslide in the San Francisco Bay area, which is a highly affluent part of the country.

      • He won in every city in Texas…it was only the small, uneducated rural places where he overwhelmingly lost. But, it didn’t matter..the cities out populated the small ignorant counties….
        …and he did it TWICE!…LOL

      • John H. Ruszkowski

        All the welfare recipients voted.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

That speaks a lot for him. California the worst state of the union that once was the greatest.

      • Debbie Lass

Take away rich people who support the idiot conservatives in congress currently and conservatives lose!

      • John H. Ruszkowski

So does US. Welcome to socialism like France…..

      • Problem Solver

Not half the people that voted for him is on welfare. Most are middle class people who go to work everyday to feed their family and pay there bills to the end results the rich get richer the barely making ends meet pay in vain and the people who really need the welfare might get what they need from the government. But, the people that don’t need it and get it is the problem to all this discussion. The one who feels it the most is the middle class that the government don’t help but take from.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

        Thanks to Obama.

      • Seizure

Nope. We know that’s what conservatives wanted to do, you know, take away the votes. Welfare or not, their votes count. Maybe if Republicans stop making so many assumptions, then you would’ve won the White House.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

and now they want eleven million illegals be eligible to vote and the idiot RINOs are going along with that. As if outsourcing was not enough. Now they are after low wage workers. Screw the blacks and what is left of the middle class.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Illegals voted, dead people voted, and the MSM had their nose up his a**. The clown got elected but it does not look that good and the next president will be an opposite.

      • Rebecca Anne Inkster

“I know you are, but what am I?” still sounds just as intelligent as it always did, good job!

      • HONORA K GREEN

SILLY BEAR, GUESS YOU LIKE BEING SPOON FED.

  • Janet J. Madison

Matthews is absolutely right. Obama never had a chance of the opposition working with him at anything, But I am not surprised, I knew that would happen. It is racism, and the Grand Dragon, is Boner and his evil minions. IMO

  • Ryan

The fact the Republicans and the Tea Party are so opposed to the ACA tells me that it will be a success. If the ACA is “doomed to fail” like the GOP tells us, why wouldn’t they want to see it take effect?

    • Ericka James

Ryan, good point! Then they could all just sit back and say “I told you so.” I think they know this is something that can and will work for the people.

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Sure it will just like a flying car.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

      Wait until January 2014.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

ACA will be the downfall of the democrats. Biggest tax to hit the USA. If you are a middle class you will be poor within the next few years by paying for all the medicaid patients. Wait until the 11 million illegals will get free health care.

  • D. A. Isley

This is why aliens won’t talk to us . . . fucked up government

  • Rebecca Anne Inkster

    Well put and dead-on accurate.

  • wesnoaffiliation

I voted for candidate Obama and have been let down with every decision made by President Obama. Look at who fund these guys they are all actors made to do what ever their greedy puppet masters tell them.

    1) Picked up bush’s torch and Helped pass tarp. Bakers should have been jailed. We spent more than enough money to buy every bad mortgage.

    2) No Lobbyists in his administration. His appointees are industry insiders that we are supposed to believe will regulate the companies they just came from.

    3) IRS scandal

    4) NSA still spying while he sells it to us as necessary

    5) 5.6 TRILLION added to the national debt

    6) Claimed no mandate was a bad idea when campaigning against Hillary. Then let the insurance insiders write the law. (who will it benefit?)

    8) Said he would quickly end Iraq war. Took his time and moved 40k troops to Afghanistan to continue our present day answer to Vietnam. Won the Nobel peace prize while allowing drone bombings in 8 countries.

I hope people will open their eyes and see the continuation of the same agendas, puppet after puppet. The last stand up president that tried to restore our country to debt free money and get rid of the Federal Reserve was JFK.

I laugh when people talk about Obama and race from either side. He is just as much white as he is black. Anyone who focuses on his race is ignorant in my opinion. This article reminds me of the last bad actors line… “They hate us for our Freedom”

    • Ericka James

When is the last time you actually heard anyone refer to the President as half white? I can probably count the number of times. Not racist?!! Only if that is what you WANT to believe. i still frequently hear my caucasian acquaintances say they want their WHITE house back or how “we need to take OUR country back”. I shake my head because they don’t even realize those statements have racist tones.
All politicians make promises that they cannot readily keep or cannot get support for once they are in office. It’s called campaigning. The real work comes into play when they have to try and work with the side that lost the election and who are still licking their sore wounds. Some heal quickly and then work together but others refused to ever work together to solve the problems, as we are all currently witnessing.

      • gemma liar

well; I remember on nov 22 1963 president kennedy was half white,,,,and half red

  • jbax52

I’m a native Texan and everything Clifton says about right wing attitudes toward Obama is true. Even though we’ve lived here all our lives (60+) we’re thinking of leaving the state it’s gotten so bad.

    • Evie Rodriguez

      Wow. That is sad.

    • Rosemarie Bell

Well do not come to AZ It is not any better…Nasty bitter people live here. I get it all the time on Facebook sly remarks about our President. I just hide that crap..

      • John H. Ruszkowski

        Come to Chicago.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

Go to Chicago. You will love it. There are plenty of nice houses for sale on South Side where you will feel at home. Don’t forget to put a “GUN FREE ZONE” sign in front of your house. That way you will be protected from those mean gun carrying law abiding citizens.

  • Kate Karwowska

My business partner was on a trip to Alpharetta, GA with a client two weeks ago. While at breakfast, the hostess initiated a conversation with him. The conversation turned political very quickly, with the hostess saying “we should call it “The Black House” and that Obama was a Muslim. Needless to say, my partner was shocked.

I will, of course, be writing a letter to the corporate headquarters for Comfort Inn. I also suggest you think twice before booking with this chain if this is the kind of people they hire.

  • Desmond Aboagye

This piece is worth reading again and again!!…All of a sudden, there is this black guy who is so smart …so very smart…it bothers some white folks. What a shame?

  • Kingeryand63rd

Maybe they could give a tip of the hat to George Wallace and the American Independent Party. Or the American Independent Tea Party.

  • Bonex

    Truth, plain and simple

  • Kimberly Munday

There are two things I have learned from this latest GOP “hostage” crisis. 1. The more TV face time, men like Mr. Cruz get, the more outlandish their behavior becomes and 2. The same goes for arguing with their surrogates in vehicles such as this. Their return comments become more assinine and inflammatory. Let’s just forget them, we certainly cannot educate them.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

Look at the educational background of Cruz and Obama. Obama is a lying joke.

    • Kimberly Munday

As evidenced by the lone reply I did receive, educating the Tea Party, or trying to carry on a discourse that rises above the level of pre-K, potty-mouth language, appears to be beyond them. There are too many things that need our attention in this country (due to years of obstruction in the House and filibusters in the Senate) which trumps the waste of energy entailed in trying to “talk” to most of these folks.

  • JoeBS

Hillary said once that if Obama walked on water, Republicans would simply claim that it was because he can’t swim.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

I bet you worship him and pray to him every night.

  • haven923

All the racist teabilly banter is like the desperate braying of dinosaurs sinking in a tar pit. Ironic and amusing.

  • ClearThinker

I am now dumber for having read this article. Allen, nowhere in your rambling, incoherent answer was there anything resembling an accurate thought or description of reality. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

  • Vera Donato

Thank you, Mr. Clifton, for speaking the truth. Racists are very good at hiding that fact but they are freaking out now and are unable to do so.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

Check SHARPTON and JACKSON. Your true heroes or are you blind.

  • Insanitydividedby0

I also see a lot of comments about Obama being a Muslim when he clearly identifies as a Christian. I know that the rumor started when he visited a Mosque and behaved respectfully the same way he did when he visited a Synagogue and wore a yamaka. But I haven’t heard any screaming about him being Jewish. I personally don’t care what religion he identifies as, as long as he doesn’t let it influence his politics.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

His defense of muslim atrocities against Christians speak for themselves. His white House has many Muslim Brotherhood supporters and his backing of Morsi was pathetic.

      • Holly Rutter Bush

So that makes him a Muslim?

      • John H. Ruszkowski

Can you read or you are a typical leftie reading between the lines and out of context?. Where did I say he is a muslim.

      • Holly Rutter Bush

No need to be rude. Insanitydividedby0 made the comment about the President being a Muslim when he clearly identifies as Christian. You replied that his defense of Muslim atrocities speaks for it’s self. The implication being that he was a Muslim. Sorry if I misunderstood.

  • David Edwards

I will say this, many of us do not hate the man… just what he is attempting to do to ruin this once great nation of mine. He ( and the liberals) are out to strip us of our rights and freedoms as individuals. These freedoms that this nation was founded on. Liberals will tell you that these rights no longer pertain to us as a nation, but I will tell you that NOW is exactly what the founding fathers feared when they put pen to paper. Our constitution is not so much toilet paper for you politicians to wipe with, it IS the backbone of our nation, paid for in blood, and I will tell you this…. be very careful as there are those of us still willing to defend it to our last gasp. I took a vow when I joined the service to protect my country and way of life, just because I am no longer in the service does not relieve me of that vow. I take it very serious.

    • Evie Rodriguez

WHAT RIGHTS HAVE BEEN STRIPPED AWAY?

    • Melanie Mills

What rights has Pres. Obama taken away? Maybe you are getting confused with the rights of women to choose and people’s rights to vote? You know, those rights repub. across the country are taking away.

  • Terri Bey

The article is right on the money.

  • Ali Broome

Right on Chris! I know some “religious” people just hate Obama simply because he is black. They will deny this, but they do. Some will believe any stupid, ignorant , and irrational beliefs about him just BECAUSE!!! No need to research these lie, they believe them JUST BECAUSE!! I

  • nellyb

My suntanned bro looks more black than the President; I’m looking at these cockroaches from a totally different angle. The fact that most of them are southern; possibly they don’t want the facts out that they misused their black people way back when and share in their blood ??

  • nellyb

Trouble with these huckleberries is they intermarried too much; now they are cockroaches and hate themselves so how can they like anyone else !!!

  • will

its sad to say, but I knew opposition from the right for just about everything Obama tied to do was something having to do with his race. Why?

  • John M. Edwards

Well said Chris Matthews, in addition those with “power” are behind this hatred and greed. The man got elected again, but those with $$$ have fed the minds of those already full of hate. The aim is to discredit both his terms in office.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

Chris Mathews is as popular as VD.

  • Peter Laine

endless right wing websites pushing ” Obama has a litmus test for miltary leaders, will you shoot american citizens” . really ,it seems like hundreds all pushing a story by one guy citing an unidentified super patriot military man.

  • altha

One thing FOR-SURE President Obama for some reason think White people just loves him this is madness for this man to be so SMART.

  • justbarry60

I agree whole heartidly Chris. I would hope we become bettet citizens. I have never in my life seen a president so opposed from the onset. It is shameful.

  • Calamazoo

I say we all vote to remove everyone at the capital at the elections in the coming years. It is time the American peoples voices are heard. Let us vote for Obama Care and see if the majority of the people want it. As a family – we work and are tired of paying taxes and having taxes raised to give to the government to do as they see fit. Why should be give illegals food stamps etc. They are here illegally. Send them home. Why not let students that came to America legally be able to stay and become citizens.. They have to jump through extreme legalities to stay. I have kept 9 foreign student (not through any exchange so my husband and I did not receive any money for keeping them) but because it was the right thing for us to do for these kids. They were from all over the world and of every color. They could not believe the way America is – free this and free that without having to do any thing for it. They understand why America is broke. We working Americans are not going to be able to pay our bills if they continue to tax us more and more. I personally thing it should be a start 10% tax on everything for everyone. No tax loops for the rich etc. If we did that more money would be in the working mans pocket. But not only that Obama has hurt lots of states with the laws he has enforced on the mining industry. How many mines have shut down because it cost more to mine the coal that what they can sell it for. He does not care about those states or the people that are losing their jobs. No my husband and I do not work in the mines but I live in a mining state and have seen what is happening in the areas where mining is shutting down. Lots of ghost towns in the near future…

  • HellSpawn

I really wish I could sit even one bagger down, let him or her cool off, and then explain to me why they hate our most beloved and eloquent president ever in modern times. Who is an icon in the world as we speak. Everyone adores him, leaders push each other aside to have a photo op with him, and here, here in America some people vilify him…. and even try to deny his citizenship to the ninth degree…. Shame on those idiots, the narrow minded and racist who really are a bunch of ignorant white men, bent on keeping their greed and having nothing to do with patriotism…

I figure that they are seeing the mistakes of the politicians, who have let millions upon millions of undocumented immigrants just explode in this country…. and now when the far right sees the writing on the wall, they want to somehow re-invent themselves, but they CAN’T, its too late to change the racist stripes you wear so well. This country is finished as we know it….do the republicans really think after they elect one of their own, that the lessons of the past will soon be forgotten… no, no, no…. all hell is about to break out…. I see this country feeding on itself like a cancer, and all because a few influential white men, can’t swallow their pride and suck it up…..WE NOW HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT IN OFFICE…get used to it.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

      Stop smoking crack.

  • Orean Pitts

big thing i’m personally tripping on is the fatal capture of bin laden! come on say if EVERYTHING haters say about him is true yall cant let him have the ONE??!! under same reasons he is at fault for negatives how the haters put it is the same reason he deserves the ONE attaboy for bin laden

    • John H. Ruszkowski

How about getting involved with the release of the doctor without whom Bin Laden would be alive. Nice to have friends in high places

  • Spike

    Mr. Clifton,

Though you do have the right to your opinion, you do not have the right to attempt to present it as fact. This indeed is nothing more than unsupported, uneducated untrue and nothing more than an attempt to predicate deceit and insight hatred. Nothing in your article can be substantiated with facts or statistics. If you indeed intend to represent yourself as educated, present the facts. Fact: the current administration has been the least productive administration in the history of the country. Fact: though the current administration inherited many failing government programs, their politics have furthered the failure to the point of non recovery. Fact: the current administration without a national security strategy, longer than any other administration in the history of the country. The fact is, this is not about hatred of a man, this is about distain for failed politics. When facts are presented the picture takes a turn for the better.

    • John H. Ruszkowski

      Well said Spike.

    • standbehindtheyellowline

You use the word “fact” without actually knowing the meaning of the word. Not one “fact” in your entire post. I’ll let you try again. Now with all that non-factual hoopla above, can you support any of it? No fair using Fox News Entertainment and any of their muppets as debunking any of your bunk!

  • Dirk

Its a shame and sad how we allow the media separate us on race. I have a buddy who is a great guy and listens to rush, beck, and hannitty. Cause of this he feels white people are being out numbered and that all minorities are the enemy. Its B/S that it comes to this. They are only trying to steer us away from the real war and that is the one between the 1% and the rest of us.

  • Kels

    True

  • Michael Irvin

We barely survived eight years of stupidity during the Bush administration. The left pointed out the stupidity, tried to get America to see it, but to no avail. Yet they didn’t display a fraction of the hate that the right shows towards President Obama.

In fact they have managed to make Bush into a saint and project all his miserable failings as president onto the President. How is that possible. The republicans handcrafted the healthcare act with their demands and whining. Mr. Obama gave in just to have some kind of healthcare bill that would include everyone. Now they hate the bill and want it repealed despite it being the twin sister of Romneycare. Yes it is hatred plain and simple.

  • Adele

Some of you folks are absolutely insane. Could your problems have something to do with simply not wanting to be on the bottom rung of the ladder with “the minorities”……..you know, the people that a large number of you think of as less than, or could it be that you don’t want to face who you really are or the source of your being—Don’t want the real you revealed. The majority of African Americans may not have come to these shores willingly, but neither did a boat load or two of you wannabee’s either. Don’t forget that England emptied their jails of prostitutes, thieves, murderers and other despicable characters and sent them packing to America. You folks were the original slaves. I am sure you’ve heard the term indentured slave. Soooooo, my dears, don’t get on your high horse with me. A large number of you other folks from Europe came here running from the law , wanting better, and/or running from poverty as well. By comparison, very few cream of the crop came to America back in the day. The majority of the early folks were not exactly from upper crust. But for the grace of God, you could have remained in your country of origin, living a less than desirable life. By the time a large number of you johnny come lately slithered your way here, my ancestors had provided 90% of the labor to build this country, and don’t you forget it ! Who do you think designed the District of Columbia, Who was the inventor known for inventing a mechanism known as “The Real McCoy”, who
invented the stop light? I could go on and on, but dollars to donuts you don’t have a clue about the contributions to the world made by freed black slaves or their descendants. The unfortunate or evil part of this mess, is that your people have played the race card for centuries and simply ignored the law and you actually think that you should continue on with this crap. Hell is probably full of your kind.

  • Robert Darrell Jernigan

    Let me just say this!

I am not a fan of Obama’s period. Not due to his skin color or how smart he is or isn’t. I don’t like him simply due to his actions in some cases and his inaction in others. You can call all of us whom have a strong disapproval of his performance in his attempt to try and lead our country anything you’d like, rather it be ignorant, racist what ever. But its reports like this and the anger by many whom just don’t see the bigger picture. That cause unneeded hate and mistrust among and between the races.I do not like Obama, I did not like Bush, I can’t stomach Clinton & I can’t stand the way people like you! Are always using hate and race to defend a job poorly done by this President. The history of this President’s failures will never change. Its a shame that you use this kind of propaganda to defend what anyone with open eyes can see clearly.

    • Jim

Well written argument, thanks for not resorting to name-calling and ad hominem attacks.

  • Tom Sapp

truer words have never been spoken.

  • gordonsoderberg

It only took you 6 years for figure this out Chris. Good for you one day your opinions may be relevant to the present if you would just speak up sooner.

  • DBarr

Um… according to the South’s own One-Drop rule, aren’t white people on the whole planet already extinct? Just asking (Going to get popcorn now, to watch the heads exploding).

  • Jill Pert

AMEN! and as true as it gets – Even when they call him Hitler, it’s only b/c they’d rather use the N-word, but can’t, at least not in public, at home they revel in their bigotry. Republicans, and not just the T-Party either, b/c tome they have now melded as one, and along with the the vile-spew from Fox Noise, they simply regurgitate the newest slander they hear, facts be damned. They aren’t even intelligent or imaginative enough to come up w/ anything good , They’ve become the most disgusting, back-ass-wards, bunch of sociopaths (Oh yes I said it and believe it) on the planet.

  • Jvincent

I don’t think it is racist. I believe it is money and money only!!! Stop and take a look The only ones that are profiting are the rich people. I would like to see them live on 800.00 dollars a month. no ins. and so on and so on. Really people get down to real life!!!! Now I’m not bag lashing the rich folks either but enough is enough. My job doesn’t have ins. I couldn’t afford it if did and I make to much money for any other help. Do you think this country’s policy makers are a little !!!!! misguided? I do. I’m a hard worker and I just don’t understand why more people aren’t up set. Lets get real we shouldn’t have to pay you the rest of your life. You make enough money up there that u should be able to handle you own retirement. Lets get real!!!! and do your job!!! Part of that is a balance budget. Enough with all the hand outs in this country as well as out of this country. We need to take care of home first and then we will be able to help others.

  • paul hunsaker

I have to laugh when I see the bigots try disparately to defend themselves and prove they are not racists. You weirdos are a hoot. They article is right on.

  • A Person

I’m Republican and I don’t hate him I just dislike his political view and that has nothing to do with the color of his skin. The way I see it is if you want to play the racism card then why not look to people in your own Democratic party, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton both claim to abhor racism and fight against it yet they do love to demean others, like Jackson’s “Hymietown” remark, not sure any of you know this buy hymie is a derogatory term against people of the Jewish faith. How about Al Sharptons “Diamond Merchants” comment about Jews
which eventually incited a rock-throwing demonstration and precipitated
the stabbing death of a young Jewish man with his assailants shouting
“Kill the Jew!”. Man those two are about as non racist as you can get don’t any of you agee?

  • Rob

This is news? I knew this ages ago. But I’m glad someone finally said it.

  • Charley Seavey

Well, duh. Who doesn’t know this?

  • Harold G. Taylor

Harold Taylor- If God Came And He Was White, I Wouldn’t Have No Problem With Him. If he Came And He Was Black,, My White- Right-Winged Brothers Would Miss Their Blessings(Nuff Said).

    • Dan Fridenberg

It is not if God came back, It is when he comes back! and I hope this does not disturb u very much but (whispering) he is Jewish. but it don’t matter Im not missing my ride even if he blogs on this site.

      • giankeys luvs shemale porn

        god is jewish??
        wow– that explains sandy Koufax!!

  • robo1269

Soooo,… in essence,.. since Obama DIDN’T take out Bin Laden,.. Then why on earth would we have even went after this Bin Laden fellow!??? I mean, it’s not like he flew the 2 planes into the World Trade Center, or the Pentagon, or even into a field in PA… (3k people RIP) Some people have sooooo much denial… They would be better off in the country of their ancestrial origin!….

    • commchf

Indeed, why would we have entered into WW2 if FDR wasn’t going to pull the trigger on Hitler.

  • Dan Fridenberg

For the Obama supporters and haters of Cruz and the GOP…..Cruz and other conservative Republicans are fighting against the following things and have told us why… but I want Cruz/GOP Haters to please explain to me which of these you wholeheartedly support and why…because if you agree with what happened to today, you must support the status quo and more:
*$17 trillion in debt – $7 Trillion of it amassed under Obama…the other $10 Trillion under all other Presidents combined
*out-of-control spending – Obama’s annual spending vs. GDP, while in office sits around average of 23%. Since WWII averages hover around 20%.
*Record welfare dollars – spending on 80 plus welfare programs cost us $746 BILLION annually. By comparison, we spend $480 billion on Medicare, $540 billion on defense, and $725 billion on Social Security.
    * Record food stamp recipients – Nearly 48 million Americans have access to EBT cards…that is a record 20% of Americans …on Obama’s watch.
    * Obamacare will increase existing premiums: for younger men by an average of 97 to 99 percent, and for younger women by an average of 55 to 62 percent. Obama promised an average reduction of $2500.
*Obama spent $500million on the Obamacare website and it doesn’t work. Experts from the tech and network fields have proclaimed it will take months, if not years, to make it work.

    • commchf

      1. $17T is not debt, it’s the private sectors asset. Why do you want to take away our assets?
      2. Reagan tripled the debt, that’s a compliment not a critique. It helped our economy.
      3. If federal spending averages since WW2 are ~20% GDP that would indicate that during recession spending would necessarily be above the average (nominator/denominator)
      4. We don’t spend a dime on Social Security. It’s self funded and can’t spend a dime more than it takes in.
5.Why don’t you call defense spending welfare too? McDonnell Douglas depends on it. And their employees, and their families and all the businesses where they spend their money.
      6. Is the child tax credit welfare? If a child gets food stamps is that welfare? Would you rather that child starve?
      7. The website didn’t work for a few weeks but now 9 million people have signed up through it. What’s the problem again?

  • John H. Ruszkowski

Just wanted to let you know – today I received my Fiscal Cliff Survival Pack from the White House.

It contained a parachute, an ‘Obama Hope & Change’ bumper sticker, a ‘Bush’s Fault’ yard sign, a ‘Blame Boehner’ poster, a ‘Tax the Rich’ banner, an application for unemployment, an application for food stamps, a prayer rug, and if that was not enough, there was a coupon for a machine that blows smoke up my ass. Everything was made in “China” and all directions were in Spanish.

Keep an eye out. Yours should arrive soon.

    • commchf

The only party to threaten going over that cliff is of the Tea variety. Sane people don’t threaten our credit rating.

  • steve66oh

Yeah, Republicans oppose Obamacare because they are racist… which is why they so enthusiastically embraced Hillarycare when she proposed it as First Lady….

    • commchf

Wow, Obamacare was offered as the alternative to Hillarycare by the GOP! It takes Democrats to pass GOP ideas into law for us to learn how lousy those ideas are.

A return to FDR is in order.

  • jootjoint

    GoP=A bag full of racists!

  • David Orozco

I agree with Matthews! Being considered white by all, I have
personally heard and seen the ridiculous racial hatred for the President. It
has some political reasons but that’s mostly a cover for their true racial
hatred for this President, Liberals, Democrats, Northern Yankees and illegal
immigrates which they ball up and consider a threat to white supremacy. This is undeniable.

  • And, Still, Chris Matthews is disappointed in President Obama for not doing more for the country in the form of a Grand Bargain. How could he understand the hatred the President is faced with and blaming him for not doing more with these people to create a grand bargain? Chris is a fool.

  • Marc Daniels

Hatred has only one purpose in reality and that is to be rooted out, composted, and ionized in spirituality energy. JFK set a goal for America to go to the moon. The mission in front of us is far more profound: to weed out hate and sow the seeds of peace.

  • StormAZ

I think it’s more than just the president being black (or half-black if you prefer). The Republicans have long been headed down the path of intense hatred and ‘get ’em’ politics. The Clintons were not handled with kid gloves either. Remember all the investigations? Heck, they even impeached him, but the Senate refused to convict, so it came to nothing after all. Hillary was also attacked and investigated during her time as first lady. Yes, it’s become more intense and outright destructive with Obama, but it’s been there far longer than he’s been president.

  • marmau

This article says nothing. Allen, you apparently only listen to the vitriol and pay no, absolutely, NO attention to what the arguments are about.
This comment is not to defend Repugnants either. Both party’s have been corrupted for so many generations that, unless you would be willing to read something other than your political science textbook, you would miss. Both party’s are the same party with two heads. Nothing really changes in domestic or foreign politics. Maybe the pace, but the essentials don’t change.
I hope you enjoy the New World Order that your self imposed ignorance foists upon you. High Tech Feudalism.
Articles by both party’s decrying the unfairness of the media and the “other” irrational people are so common and demonstrate how conditioned to nonsensical discussion so many wish to indulge in.
For your edification: Most of the “hot button” issues are not political issues, they are legal issues between affected party’s. Rules are not Law, even if you call them “laws”. America was not to be a nation of laws but a Nation UNDER LAW. The Bill of Rights were never intended to be a base code of Law for the electorate or citizenry. They were and still are the “chains that bind them” for the Federal Government, their employees and contractors. The Citizens were to live under “The Law” or what the Founders understood as Common Law. Try this: “Do all you have agreed to do and do not encroach on other persons or their property”. Codify this as The LAW and see how quickly things turn around. Hold our “elected” officials to their Oath of Office. The Oath is a legal and binding contract with the electorate. Allowing these “game show hosts” to legislate away any or all of the Bill of Rights is Treason. When did the Amendment process go away?
Our court system is controlled by the State. This was not the plan. Statism is the misguided belief that the State is sovereign and the individual is subservient. This is backwards to the Ideal that was “Self Evident” to apparently very few of the Founders. This must change.
Sadly, the Self Evident portion of the Declaration could not be implemented and never has. This was because of the political and social circumstances of the times. Are we still there? At the time of the Founding of America, women were legally chattel, 1/3 of the population was legally in slavery and the dominant religious views supported this with scripture. We could not allow the Native population to be consider a PERSON since they lived on and “owned” what the moneyed few and politico’s deemed their future. This came into fruition with Henry Clay’s Manifest Destiny concept that dominated the next hundred years and seems to still echo in our foreign policy adventures.
Allen, did you notice how the political science textbook was so similar to the marketing textbook?
Hate? There are many who are racist. I see that there are many who are scared.
As long as rules usurp true LAW, then we will have these problems and continue to argue and fight amongst ourselves.
“Government is Force” Government is the only institution that can “legally” harm someone who has not harmed anyone else (although the Big Banking industry is legalizing itself to that degree. The Federal Reserve has been able to do it for over 100 years but then that is empowered by the Government abdicating its responsibility to a bunch of private international bankers/terrorists). The sick belief in the “Better Management Theory of Government” was what the Founders were trying to get away from with the 3 equal and competing branches with the clearly stated “enumerated powers”. The Bill of Rights was added on by Henry and Madison because they could see the politico’s and attorney’s drooling over the loop holes before the ink had dried on the Parchment. Sadly, they have been proven correct.
    Codify Law
Hold our “elected” officials to their Oath of Office
Stop the Statist jury tampering. Next time you go in for jury duty, check out this. The second question asked after, “are you pregnant or have any other reason for not serving”, is are you willing to judge this case by the statute rather than your own understanding of Law? They say it differently. Then the 4TH or 5TH question is the same thing reversed (sort of like a 3rd grade history test). We are supposed to be judged by a jury of our peers. When the State screens people to only judge by statute then the so called “laws” that often violate Natural Law are not judged. This is Statist jury tampering.
Look around, this is what it looks like. Our “legal” system is so corrupt as to defy description. Having the State in between the victim and the perp only helps the State. In many districts, fully 25% of the local police budget is based on the booty that they collect. The “kings peace” has usurped Law.
People of all religious, political, racial, gender, preference,,, what do we have in common? Let me speculate: We want to be self determinant for both ourselves and those we love. Do all you have agreed to do, this is the base code of contract Law. Do not encroach on other persons or their property, my grandmother taught me not to harm others or mess with their stuff. If it is not mine, it is not mine, period!
When we finally get around to codifying Law, we will have to make sure it applies to everyone. Every individual, club, group, business, corporation, religion, and government. NO exceptions! All must honor LAW. By the way, Law is discovered, rules are made. This is why attorney’s and politico’s love rules. For the past 10,000 years of recorded history we have labored under an authoritarian rule system. Why not try LAW. This is what the Declaration was saying, this was/is Self Evident.
    Allen, elevate the discussion.

“………that all men( women) are created equal”………….
tell that to the women and gays and minorities who have been subjugated by white trash regressive s throughout American history

Chris Matthews is an Idiot. And an unapologetic liar. I was opposed to Obama from the start. Not because of his race, but because he was very upfront about his policies, especially the redistribution of wealth. Anybody with half a brain knows that the policies that Obama embodies are not viable in the long run.The proof of the pudding is in the tasting. How do you like what Obama and his buddies have been doing since taking office? If you think his presidency has been a success, then it is YOU that I am opposed to. More harmful to this country are the careers of Pelosi, Schumer,Reid, and others of their ilk. Not because of their race, because of their record.

The supply side wet dream we were living in in 2008 worked out so well for us. Thirty years of Reaganomics have crushed the middle class.

HE, THE SO CALLED PRESIDENT IS A SOCIALIST MARXIST, AND NOT VERY BRIGHT. SURE HE CAN SMILE AND READ OF THE TELEPROMPTER BUT HE IS A POT SMOKING FOOL PUSHED THROUGH THE EDUCATION SYSTEM BECAUSE OF HIS COLOR, NOT HIS INTELLIGENCE. HE IS NOT AN A AMERICAN AND HAS NO AMERICAN VALUES. HE IS FROM THE SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT CONTROL OVER THE PEOPLE, THE WORD IS COMMUNISM. AND WITH HIS MUSLIM FAITH AND ANTI AMERICAN WAYS AND ANTI AMERICAN FRIENDS, HE AND THE PUPPET MASTER WANT TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY. HE IS USED BY THEM TO PLAY THE RACE CARD, SAY ANYTHING AGAINST HIM OR HIS POLICY’S AND YOUR CALLED A RACIST. THOSE WHO BELIEVE THIS BULL CRAP ARE THEMSELVES COMMUNIST OR MISGUIDED IDIOTS . OH P.S. MATTHEWS IS A JOKE AND A CLOWN.

You shouldn’t be so passive, your erudite skills should be amplified with passion and punctuation!

  • Im glad Chris Matthews finally came out and admitted what Ive known all along. It has nothing to do with politics, its all about race. Period.

  • “TheDixieDrifter”

Chris Mathews is right this POTUS will go down in history as the most hated President due to the ignorant Christian conservative GOP bigots .

  • Too country

Every time I see racist comments being posted on news forums, I just can’t help thinking how they are helping the conservatives dig their own graves in the next election. They are so extreme that any sane normal person would run the other way. So you conservatives that troll stupid racist posts can be part of the blame when a Dem becomes president again. A real racist just can’t hide from their true colors.

Misguided and misinformed Republicans are misdirecting their anger in the wrong direction. Obama could never have became president if it were not for George W. Bush.
