If there’s one thing that baffles me most about the average Donald Trump supporter, it’s that he doesn’t remotely try to conceal the fact that he treats his supporters like idiots — yet they worship him anyway. It’s truly astonishing to watch people blindly cheer and defend a candidate who clearly knows that most of the people supporting him are mindless sheep who will support him no matter what he says or does.
Then again, you don’t have to believe me — he’s admitted as much.
A perfect example of this is his wall he’s promised to build that he damn well knows is never going to be built, especially by Mexico. Yet, during practically every speech he gives, that’s one of the main lines he uses to manipulate his crowds to cheer him like some sort of rock star.
Then there’s his taxes and his continued insistence that he can’t release them because they’re being audited, which is an absolute lie. The IRS has actually said that there’s nothing preventing him from releasing his tax returns even though he’s currently being audited. Yet, he continues to repeat this claim even though the branch of our government in charge of auditing him has said that he’s lying.
Despite the IRS completely debunking his audit lie, he knows his supporters are ignorant enough to still believe that the reason he’s not releasing his returns is because he’s being audited.
And there’s always the fact that he continues to claim he was against the war in Iraq and removing Gaddafi from power in Libya — even though there’s audio and video evidence proving that he actually supported the Iraq War and said we needed to remove Gaddafi from power. A person really has to think those supporting them are incredibly gullible to constantly lie about two situations where a simple Google search can produce indisputable evidence of you debunking your own lies.
Then he likes to fancy himself as some sort of devout super Christian… are you kidding me? An adulterer who’s been divorced twice, is on his third marriage with five kids from three different women — who leads a life of excess, vulgarity and hostility toward those he opposes — is trying to pass himself off as someone who follows Christian values — really?
Of all the presidential candidates — both Democrat and Republican — Donald Trump was the least “Christian” out of all of them… yet he ran away with the nomination for the party that proclaims itself the “defender of Christian values.” Not only that, but he beat out actual evangelical candidates when it came to the evangelical conservative vote. And he did all of this despite the fact that it’s painfully obvious he doesn’t know a thing about the Bible and certainly doesn’t live a life that’s remotely “Christ-like.”
We can’t forget about his veterans stunt from back in January when he blatantly used “raising money for veterans groups” as an obvious shield to protect him from scrutiny over the fact he was skipping a GOP presidential debate because he was scared of Megyn Kelly.
Then on top of all of that, months later he was busted by the media for not raising as much money as he had spent months boasting about raising. It wasn’t until after he got exposed that he finally wrote a check to cover the difference between what he actually raised and what he had been claiming he did.
And all of that, of course, is on top of the fact that he belittled Sen. John McCain’s war record and bashed the Gold Star parents of a fallen American hero because they bruised his ego by pointing out his bigotry.
However, despite using veterans as props, lying about how much he raised to help them, mocking POWs and attacking the parents of a war hero, his supporters believe to their core that he actually respects the military.
Oh, then there’s his big campaign promise to “bring jobs back to this country” and his constant criticism of trade agreements — despite the fact that the majority of his various company’s products are made in foreign countries because he decided to outsource those jobs. It’s absolutely ridiculous that a businessman running for president promising to “bring jobs back” is also a businessman who’s outsourced jobs and has benefited from the very trade agreements he says are so terrible.
Then, while he likes to talk about how corrupt and unethical politicians are, he’s also bragged about how he’s tried to buy off members of our government to benefit his interests. Please, tell me, how is the person who’s trying to corrupt our government less unethical than the people he’s trying to corrupt?
Nothing like a con man who’s admitted trying to bribe government officials somehow convincing his supporters that he’s honest and ethical, but the people he may or may not have been able to corrupt are the crooked ones.
Let’s also not gloss over his continued insistence that he “hires the best people” even though he’s replaced two campaign managers in a matter of months – with one having a growing list of ties to pro-Russian groups deliberately trying to undermine U.S. policy in eastern Europe for the benefit of Russia’s government.
Then there’s his seemingly endless praise and defense of a Russian president who’s really more an authoritarian dictator. Meanwhile, he continues to bash our own president and military leaders, all while calling our country weak.
At this point, there are so many Russian ties to Donald Trump that we should really start referring to him as “comrade.” It is rather astonishing that the political party that constantly claims it’s the “pro-American/patriotic” party, is the same one supporting the most pro-Russian presidential candidate in United States history. Someone who goes out of his way to defend a murdering sociopath who’s ordering his government to commit cyber warfare on Americans, yet degrades our own president and bashes our military leaders as “weak.”
I really never thought I’d see the day where an American presidential candidate could defend and embrace the president of a country that obviously wants to humiliate the United States — and millions of Americans would continue to support him.
Then again, most Trump supporters are such incredible fools that all he has to do is shout, “Make America great again!” — and they won’t notice that he’s fawning over one of Iran’s top allies. You know, the same Iran that Trump and his supporters view as much of a threat to the United States as ISIS.
Because vilifying Iran while praising one of their key allies makes perfect sense.
Even his birther stance shows how much of a coward he is and how idiotic many of his supporters are. Despite the fact that nearly all of his surrogates who’ve been asked, including his campaign manager, have all said he now believes President Obama was born in this country — he flat-out refuses to say those words. Why? Because he’s a coward who knows many of his supporters don’t believe the president is an American, therefore he’ll continue to refuse to say what he’s allowed his surrogates to say for him.
But, please, tell me again how he’s a “strong leader” — who’s too spineless to answer a simple question while letting his surrogates do it for him.
The list goes on and on, but I’m going to wrap it up here. Donald Trump is so transparent that I am constantly amazed millions of his supporters don’t realize that even he knows most of them are absolute fools. If he didn’t, there’s no way he would do and say the things he’s done and said over the past year.
