Elizabeth Warren Unloads on Donald Trump, Mike Pence in Epic Takedown of GOP Ticket

The only person who might have more fun than President Obama will have campaigning for Hillary Clinton is Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). The president won’t really hit the trail hard until after the convention, but Warren has been tearing into the soon-to-be confirmed GOP presidential nominee for weeks.

So it should come as no surprise that following Trump officially announcing Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was going to be his running mate, Warren had some more words for the 2016 Republican presidential ticket.

Here are the tweets she sent out Saturday:

It’s comments like these (plus many other reasons) why I really hope Senator Warren is Hillary Clinton’s choice for her VP. Not only would she add some more left-leaning progressive credibility that some believe Clinton lacks, but Warren’s skills at being able to get under Trump’s skin are invaluable to the Clinton campaign based upon the type of general election this is going to be.

Beyond her jabs at Trump or Pence, everything Warren said needs to be repeated as often as possible because this election’s GOP platform is terrifying. It’s the most anti-immigrant, anti-women, anti-LGBT, anti-science platform in our nation’s history. It’s hard to believe that here we are, in 2016, and the GOP is basically running on a platform that sounds like something written in the 40’s or 50’s.

The truth is, Trump’s slogan shouldn’t be “Make America Great Again,” it should be: Let’s make America just as racist, bigoted and oppressive as it was decades ago.

That’s essentially what his policies would do and what the GOP just endorsed as the party’s platform.

Not only did Elizabeth Warren use Trump’s announcement to unload on how disastrous the Republican party’s presidential ticket is, but she also made sure to use the attention she knew her tweets would receive to let Americans know how dangerous, bigoted and outdated the GOP’s platform is heading into this election.
