Florida Republican House Candidate Disgustingly Calls for Obama’s Hanging

1061975_10152176625912489_388868288_nSometimes the word “stupidity” doesn’t quite properly describe just how outlandish and ignorant some people can be.  So calling Joshua Black, a Republican candidate for Florida House District 68, “stupid” really doesn’t do this idiot justice.

This man took to Twitter to publicly call for the hanging of President Obama.

Yes, you read that correctly, a Florida Republican publicly called for the President of the United States to be hanged.

Black wrote on his Twitter:

“I’m past impeachment, it’s time to arrest and hang him high.”

A statement that was so awful, another Florida Republican, Chris Latvala, took notice and called out Mr. Black’s insanity:

“You aren’t seriously calling for the killing of Obama are you? I know you are crazy but good heavens. U R an embarrassment.”

The “Twitter war” between these two went back and forth for a little while, with Black claiming President Obama has committed treason for some of his drone strikes in Pakistan and his stance on Daniel Manning and Edward Snowden.

But nothing seemed to deter Black’s ridiculous stance because he later tweeted:

“He should be executed for treason.  I think the appropriate punishment is death. They killed Benedict Arnold. (Obama) shouldn’t be allowed to kill Americans without a trial.”

Can you see some of the irony here?  He’s already declaring President Obama guilty of treason, calling for his execution – even though Obama’s never stood trial (or been convicted of) treason.  Yet his reasoning for his stance supporting Obama’s execution is killing Americans without trial.

Oh, and Benedict Arnold wasn’t killed for treason.  He died in England due to several health conditions.

I’m assuming Black was referring to the killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, a terrorist who just happened to be born in the United States, who was killed by an ordered drone strike in Yemen.

Now I might get slammed for this, but al-Awlaki was a known terrorist.  Anyone who really disputes that is nuts.  If you look up his links to terrorism it’s pages long.  I don’t care if you’re an American citizen or not, I’m not going to support risking the lives of our brave men and women in uniform to “capture alive” a terrorist just because they were born in the United States and “deserved a fair trial as an American citizen.”

Now some might point to the subsequent killing of his son a few weeks later, who was also born in the United States.  The government has said his son’s death was a mistake, and during that strike they were targeting another known terrorist.  Again, I might get slammed for this, but if you’re running in crowds of internationally wanted terrorists – I just can’t feel that sorry for you if you end up dead.

But their deaths are a debate for another time.

I’m just glad some Florida Republicans are condemning Black’s comments for being absolutely ridiculous.  And like I said before, it’s just ironic that (without trial or conviction) Black is saying President Obama should be “hung” for “treason” for killing Americans – without trail.

Sadly, as primary season rolls on, I can almost guarantee we’ll see plenty more of this in the coming weeks/months.

If you would like to tell Mr. Black what you think of his disgusting stupidity, feel free to head over to his Facebook page and let him know.

Sick of my tax dollars being used to feed and house criminals. So now we are suppose to capture known terrorists and have a trial! Please, spare me the BS. This is just another excuse to bash the president. Snowden is a traitor so let him live in the USSR, let them feed him. Drones mean troops saved. Did you all forget 9/11? Is it just me?

My view is rather mixed on this article. Threatening and calling for the killing of the president in such a public manner is not only stupid, but essentially inviting the Secret Service to knock on your door. This guy’s just another Evangelistic idiot representing the move for the return of the three tier medieval system of the past. On the other hand: no, I do not support the drone strikes because they violate country sovereignty and has cost too many innocent lives of those countries to be worth the reward.

If an ordinary citizen made these comments they would be charged with making terrorist threats. Why is it tolerated in our elected officials?

How can you be qualified to hold office if you don’t even understand what “treason” is — it’s not having a different opinion on politics; and evidence is something that a lawmaker should recognize as well. This may be one of the dumbest candidates out there. This lack of grasping the concept of justice wouldn’t even qualify him for dog catcher.

    Dear Mr. Black,

What you are advocating, is what I believe used to be called “lynching.” You will pardon me for saying it, but it takes a special kind of “stupid” for an African-American to advocate a return to this. Brush up on your history a bit, and you may understand why.

Seems to me he should be arrested and charged. If we said that we’d be breaking Federal law.

  • Wayne Bassett

Isn’t calling for the death of an elected leader a treasonous act?

  • DrMCFG

Wow – I mean I think a whole lot of people are frankly amazed at what Holder and Obama (and apparently now Hilary) have gotten away with, but in the case of what this guy is talking about and the Benghazi debacle you are talking about the haze of war and no court is going to convict. Incompetence is not a crime. Besides Holder and Obama are kind of hero’s to some on the far left who believe that the administration is just leveling the playing field and getting back at their “enemies” for them.
