To listen to Trump supporters talk, you’d think that most of the hatred displayed by the left toward him is based on “jealousy because we can’t get over losing the election.” To these proud Trumpsters who refuse to realize how awful he is, anything negative about him is “fake news” being pushed by people who are “out to get him.”
However, the truth is that Trump’s loathed pretty much everywhere because practically everyone except his brainwashed supporters realizes what an unhinged and unfit buffoon he is.
Well, I guess we can add former British Prime Minister David Cameron to the list of people who oppose this current “president,” mocking his constant whining about “fake news” simply because someone in the media is critical of him.
“When Donald Trump uses the term ‘fake news’ to describe CNN and the BBC, that is not just a questionable political tactic, it’s actually dangerous,” Cameron said.
“Let me put it like this. President Trump: ‘Fake news’ is not broadcasters criticizing you, it’s Russian bots and trolls targeting your democracy — pumping out untrue stories day after day, night after night,” he added.
For those who didn’t pick up on that, that’s the former prime minister of Britain essentially mocking the fact that Trump needed help from fake news that was being pushed out by Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton.
He then did something Trump really won’t like — he praised Barack Obama.
“Barack Obama used to challenge European leaders over how we seemed to ignore or even tolerate Russian subversion of some Eastern European business, energy, media or even political interest,” Cameron stated. “He was bang on target. And my successor, Theresa May, has been quite right to put this on the EU Council agenda.”
Now I’m sure if Trump ever sees these comments from Cameron he’ll add some sort of childish insult before his name, insult him as some sort of a “loser,” then make up some absurd lie where he tries to brag about himself.
Because that’s what Trump does.
But the fact remains, David Cameron is right.
While no media entity is ever right 100 percent of the time, Trump lashes out at anything negative about him as “fake news,” frequently slandering credible journalists and media entities simply because they don’t act like Fox News and kiss his ass 99 percent of the time they’re on the air.
Trump’s propaganda is laughably predictable.
If you stand up to him or criticize him, you’re “fake news,” a “loser,” “unfair,” or some other kind of whiny insult you’d heard from a typical 6-year-old. However, if you feed his ego, heap praise on him, and tell him what he wants to hear, then you’re a “great person,” “credible,” and “someone who can be trusted.”
It’s as pathetic as it is ridiculous.
The sad part to all of this is that the United States will never even begin regaining any respect internationally until Trump’s out of office. And until that happens, all he’s going to do is make it more and more difficult to accomplish that in the first place. Then, like always, Republicans are going to create a giant mess that a Democrat will ultimately have to come in and fix.
