Fox News Host Thinks Meteorologists Discussing Climate Change With Obama Should Ask About Benghazi

Liberals often joke that Fox News pundits will do whatever they can to interject Benghazi into just about any topic.  Case in point: Dana Perino of Fox News’ The Five hoped that meteorologists who were convening with President Obama to discuss a new report about climate change will ask him about Benghazi.

Perino said, “Tomorrow, President Obama is going to do interviews with meteorologists all across the country about a new climate change report.  I hope they ask him about Benghazi.  Like, the weatherman from Montana should ask him about Benghazi.  That would be great.  I dare you.”

Because, you know, when experts have gathered with the President of the United States to discuss what we need to do in order to save our planet from global catastrophe – they should really waste time feeding into partisan right-wing rhetoric.

When is it going to sink in with these people that the vast majority of Americans couldn’t care less about what talking points were used immediately following the Benghazi attacks?  The only people who care about this nonsense are people who would have never voted for President Obama in the first place, and that’s exactly the audience to which the conservative media is pandering.

They seem to think that there’s some giant conspiracy going on because nobody besides them is reporting on Benghazi.  But the truth is hardly anyone is reporting on Benghazi because there’s nothing of importance on which to report.  Conservatives are throwing a giant hissy fit because their fake outrage isn’t being matched by those of us who refuse to buy into their propaganda.

That’s how conspiracy theorists work.  The fact that what they feel is being “covered up” isn’t being reported on “proves” that whoever they’re accusing of covering something up “obviously has something to hide.”  Then if there’s any evidence disproving their nonsense, well, “that’s just all part of the cover up.”

The bottom line is Fox News desperately wants people to care about their propaganda concerning Benghazi, only there’s one problem – we’ve already mourned over the tragic loss of those four Americans.  We’ve also already read the numerous reports faulting both Congress and the White House for not doing enough to prevent the attack.  But in the two years since the attack, most of us have also done something else – we’ve moved on.

But that’s something conservatives can’t do.  Because when it comes to Benghazi, it’s just fake outrage over a situation they want so badly to remain relevant because it’s about the only thing they have to use against Hillary Clinton in 2016.
