Fox News Pathetically Exploits the Death of Kayla Mueller for Petty Attack Against President Obama (Video)

fox-news-kayla-muellerJust in case you weren’t aware, the last day to sign up for health care through the Affordable Care Act marketplaces is this Sunday, February 15. So if you haven’t signed up for coverage yet, make plans to do that this weekend before it’s too late.

As most of us are well aware, the Affordable Care Act (aka “Obamacare”) has been a fairly controversial topic since the very beginning. Then again, any sort of big change is always highly controversial. Especially when it’s something like the ACA which has had endured an onslaught of misleading or flat-out inaccurate propaganda pushed against it for years.

Well, since the passage of Obamacare the Obama administration has put out some fairly clever marketing campaigns during the sign-up periods hoping to lure more people to the website to sign up for coverage. Needless to say, conservatives haven’t been too fond of Obama’s humor. Then again, when are they complimentary about anything that he does? I’m convinced that if he saved a litter of puppies from a burning building they’d find some way to criticize him for doing it.

This year the president made a rather goofy video in an attempt to appeal to younger Americans. It shows him using a “selfie stick,” practicing saying his lines in the mirror as well as several random things meant to be funny. And for the most part, the video is just a harmless and fairly humorous ad promoting the health care law.

Unless, of course, you’re Fox News. They tried to make a huge deal out of the president filming this ad on the same day the administration released the information confirming that Kayla Mueller had been killed. This is one of those things that nobody would have even thought twice about – unless someone was really looking for a way to stir up anti-Obama rhetoric. Which, as we all know, is a Fox News specialty.

The whole segment was completely absurd and flat-out defined the proverbial “trying to make a mountain out of a molehill” cliché. The timing of the filming of this video has nothing to do with the tragic death of Kayla Mueller. In fact, it’s pathetic that the conservative media is trying to use her passing as a way to try to issue yet another ridiculous attack against the president.

It’s not as if he was told that two planes had just flown into the World Trade Center buildings in New York and proceeded to sit in a classroom reading My Pet Goat for around five minutes. No, that was George W. Bush. As “outraged” as Fox News tries to pretend that it is for basically anything and everything President Obama does, could you imagine if he did even half of what Bush did while he was in office?

As has been their tradition since 2008, Fox News proved once again that it will do whatever it can to criticize the president for basically anything and everything he does.

This blog relies on Fox News for 95% of its content. It has very little to do with forward progressivism, really.

Do ANY of the people who regularly watch Fox “News” realize that it is nothing but a source of right-wing propaganda and lies intended to advance the interests of the top 1%? Is it possible that they are ALL so dumb as to believe what is said on that channel? How can there be so many stupid people in America? Does this have anything to do with the fact that we are unable to govern ourselves like we used to?

Wow. They actually tried to create a link between the commercial and the girl’s death because he said “Yolo”. Even with my disdain for Faux News, “…stands for ‘You only live once’. Well you know who’s not alive? Kayla Mueller.” is really low and grasping at straws even for them.

Can’t wait to read what Fox’s favorite yes-man, Jim Bean, have a say about this.
