GOP Lawmaker Michele Fiore Hates Refugees, Says She Would ‘Fly To Paris And Shoot ‘Em Myself’

michele fiore christmas cardNevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore is Nevada’s answer to Michele Bachmann. In fact, I think she may even be crazier than Bachmann, and her rhetoric is certainly more violent in nature. Fiore is apparently so vehemently against Syrian refugees, who she lumps in with terrorists, that she has stated she would fly to Paris and shoot them in the head.

This kind of rhetoric from the right has been increasing since recent acts of terror in California, Colorado, Paris and Mali. The answer for far-right conservatives like Michele Fiore to terrorism seems to be kill everyone who might be a terrorist, which is the exact kind of stupid mentality ISIS/Daesh is counting on from the West.

Via Talking Points Memo:

During her weekly show on Las Vegas radio station KWDN, Fiore discussed why she did not sign onto the statement from Republican members of the state assembly opposing resettling Syrian refugees in Nevada. Fiore recounted a conversation with Nevada GOP political consultant Chuck Muth, who asked her why she didn’t sign onto the statement.

“What–are you kidding me? I’m about to fly to Paris and shoot ‘em in the head myself!” Fiore said she told Muth when asked why she didn’t join the statement on Syrian refugees.

“I am not OK with Syrian refugees. I’m not OK with terrorists. I’m OK with putting them down, blacking them out, just put a piece of brass in their ocular cavity and end their miserable life. I’m good with that,” she continued. (Source)

Michele Fiore has a long history of being detached from reality. Despite having worked in the health care industry, she has stated previously that cancer can be flushed out with baking soda like a fungus. She’s also blamed the Oregon college shootings on prescription medications, and recently posed for a family Christmas card with a whole bunch of guns.

Why does it matter that she said these things? First, she isn’t alone in this paranoid outlook on national security. Second, she’s an elected official in Nevada, not some random conservative radio host who lives on the side of a remote mountain somewhere in Montana or Wyoming. Third, she’s part of Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign leadership team in Nevada.

It is very troubling that as an elected official, Michele Fiore has stated she would gladly kill innocent people out of paranoid fear and complete ignorance. Her words are perfect propaganda material for ISIS/Daesh, which they will almost undoubtedly use to recruit potential terrorists online. This kind of rhetoric may be protected under the First Amendment, but it is going to get people killed.
