And Republicans, don’t even try to say you have Sarah Palin. I know a lot of conservatives reading this will try to say that’s their “strong, confident woman.” Palin is a weak, narcissistic quitter who’s desperate to try to stay relevant.
Well, Hillary Clinton has a new book coming out called Hard Choices where she absolutely tears apart the blatant partisan Republican politics that we’ve seen for nearly two years now following the 2012 attack on our embassy in Benghazi.
A chapter of this booked titled Benghazi: Under Attack has some choice words for the Republican party and the antics we’ve seen from them in an attempt to score political points from this tragedy.
Here are some excerpts from the book:
“I will not be a part of a political slugfest on the backs of dead Americans.”
“It’s just plain wrong, and it’s unworthy of our great country. Those who insist on politicizing the tragedy will have to do so without me.”
“Many of these same people are a broken record about unanswered question. But there is a difference between unanswered questions and unlistened to answers.”
“There were scores of attackers that night, almost certainly with differing motives. It is inaccurate to state that every single one of them was influenced by this hateful video. It is equally inaccurate to state that none of them were. Both assertions defy not only the evidence but logic as well.”
“That was the best she or anyone could do (speaking of Susan Rice). Every step of the way, whenever something new was learned, it was quickly shared with Congress and the American people. There is a difference between getting something wrong, and committing wrong. A big difference that some have blurred to the point of casting those who made a mistake as intentionally deceitful.”
I love it.
She nailed Republicans on exactly what they’ve been doing. Their pathetic attempt to use four American deaths for political gain; the fact that she won’t give into Republicans trying to politicize this tragedy; the fact that the questions about what happened have been answered, they’re just either ignoring them or not listening; and that the comments made immediately following the attack might have been inaccurate but they weren’t made maliciously – just a mistake.
But as we all know the Republican “outrage” over Benghazi has nothing to do with what actually happened that night (thousands of pages have already told us) and everything to do with trying to find anything with which to attack Hillary Clinton.
