As a Christian myself, fake so-called “conservative Christians” like Mike Huckabee disgust me. I hate the fact that my faith is represented by lowlifes and hypocrites who call themselves Christians, yet aren’t anything of the sort. They do nothing but cherry-pick parts of the Bible they want to use to justify their ignorance, bigotry, and hate.
They’re frauds who know nothing about real Christian values.
So when I saw Huckabee come to the defense of his daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, concerning criticisms she’s received over her defense of Trump, while I wasn’t shocked, it did serve as another prime example of what a pathetically hypocritical person Mike Huckabee is.
During a whine session on the conservative entertainment channel known as Fox News, Huckabee tried to paint his daughter as someone feminists should admire:
She deserves better from other women and it just amazes me that even the women who say they are feminists are doing everything they can to discredit my daughter. To her credit, my daughter stands strong and tough and walks into that lions den of a press room every day, and, I believe, represents women and represents the president and represents strength in an incredible way.
Huckabee seemed to take particular offense to MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski’s mocking his daughter’s defense of Donald Trump sending out a tweet where many felt that he suggested Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand was offering sexual favors for campaign contributions.
I don’t begrudge Huckabee for defending his daughter because that’s what fathers are supposed to do. But to claim that she should somehow be an icon for feminists because she chooses to stand behind a podium and lie every day to defend a self-admitted sexual predator who recently endorsed a child molester is absurd.
Huckabee doesn’t get to claim his daughter should be viewed admirably by other women when she stands up for a man who’s defended sexual predators such as Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly, while saying that the 16 women who’ve accused him of sexual abuse are liars or not attractive enough for him to have sexually assaulted, all while being caught on video bragging about grabbing women “by the p-ssy.”
Then, of course, there are the comments Trump made about Gillibrand just a couple of days ago and even Brzezinski, herself, this past summer when he attacked her looks by suggesting she was “badly bleeding from a face-lift” when her and fiance Joe Scarborough allegedly tried to join him at Mar-a-Lago around New Year’s Eve last year.
We also can’t forget comments Trump’s said in the past such as:
“There’s a lot of women out there that demand that the husband act like the wife, and you know, there’s a lot of husbands that listen to that,” Trump added. “So you know, they go for it.”
“If I had a different type of wife,” Trump said, laughing, “I probably wouldn’t have a baby, ya know, cause that’s not my thing. I’m really, like, a great father, but certain things you do and certain things you don’t. It’s just not for me.”
“I mean, I won’t do anything to take care of them. I’ll supply funds and she’ll take care of the kids. It’s not like I’m gonna be walking the kids down Central Park,” Trump said in the interview. He repeated the same sentiment to Stern two years later, saying, “Melania is a wonderful mother. She takes care of the baby and I pay all of the costs.”
Sarah Huckabee Sanders defends a sexist scumbag who says and thinks things like that, but Mike Huckabee thinks other women should admire her for it?
Again, I get that a father is going to defend his daughter. But for Mike Huckabee to say that his daughter should be viewed admirably by women for defending a lying, sexist jackass who’s been accused of sexual misconduct by at least 16 women he’s called liars, and is on video bragging about sexually assaulting women, is absolutely preposterous. I would say Mike Huckabee should be ashamed of himself, but he clearly lacks the prerequisite morals and ethics to actually feel any shame.
