It’s Important to Understand the Alt-Right’s Endgame

While most people on the left think of the Alt-Right as a white nationalist movement driven by bigotry and racism, I think many folks are missing the bigger picture concerning what the Alt-Right is really all about.

Yes, they’re largely comprised of racists, Nazis, white nationalists, and bigots. But that’s a rather narrow way to look at what this movement actually is. What the Alt-Right really wants is chaos and to install puppets they can control.

That’s why people like Steve Bannon love Donald Trump. It’s not because they think he’s a strong, competent leader. In fact, it’s because they think the exact opposite. They know he’s an unhinged, incompetent buffoon who has no idea what he’s doing. He’s the exact type of puppet they know can be easily manipulated.

Just listen to Bannon’s rhetoric. He’s trying to use his bullying power at Breitbart to attack Republicans who won’t give in to his demands. It’s not a coincidence that the type of politicians Bannon always seems to back are unhinged radicals who do nothing but make governing and compromise between the two parties impossible.

Look at Bannon’s support of Roy Moore. Even in the face of mounting allegations from women claiming he sexually assaulted them, Bannon and Breitbart have continued to defend the Alabama Senate candidate. Not because they actually think he’s a competent, ethically-driven person who they believe belongs in the United States Senate, but because he’s a crazy person they know will make sensible, rational governing in Washington all that much more difficult.

The Alt-Right thrives on chaos, fear, and uncertainty because that makes people afraid and angry. And when people are afraid and angry, they tend to become paranoid and irrational. And when people are paranoid and irrational, they’re much more easy to control and manipulate. They know that the movement stands no chance at growing and thriving with a strong, united country led by competent leadership and elected officials who, while they might have their differences, at least believe in the same facts and reality. They’re aware that the more divided Americans are against each other, the better chance they have at getting the types of chaos-creating fools they support in positions of power.

Make no mistake about it, the Alt-Right is trying to burn it all to the ground, create havoc, push hate, exploit fear, and divide Americans — that’s the only way these bottom-feeding miscreants can thrive in this country.

As much as most of the Alt-Right is based on racism, it’s also filled with anti-government radicals and anarchists. People who would love nothing more than to see this nation spiral toward a complete meltdown so they could then seize upon that opportunity to gain even more power. These are hateful, unhinged, and dangerous people who think on a bigger scale which pushing racism and bigotry feeds into.

Yes, the Alt-Right is largely built on and driven by white nationalism, bigotry and hate. However, those are only building blocks being used in a dangerous game that’s structured around creating chaos and turning people against one another.

The endgame for the Alt-Right is to further shade the country with deception and dysfunction until their brand of hate and control can thrive unchecked.
