John Oliver Crushes ‘F*cking As*hole’ Donald Trump’s Disgusting Response to Khan Family (Video)

Heading into Sunday night, I had a good feeling that John Oliver wasn’t going to ignore Donald Trump’s disgusting response to the Khan family’s speech at the Democratic National Convention. After all, it is fairly difficult to ignore a presidential candidate for a major political party having the nerve to criticize the family of an American war hero who died defending this country.

And in true Oliver style, the Last Week Tonight host did not disappoint.

After airing a clip where Trump blatantly suggested that Ghazala Khan might not have been “allowed” to speak because, you know, they’re Muslims, Oliver pointed out that it had been well-documented that she gets too upset when she tries to discuss her dead son.

“Okay, for a start, his wife has explained that she chose not to speak because she gets too upset when she sees images of her dead son’s face, you f*cking asshole. But, I’m sorry, please continue,” Oliver quipped.

He then went after Trump’s assertion that he’s made “sacrifices” because he’s built things and has had “incredible success,” trying to compare himself to the late Captain Humayun Khan.

“No. No, they absolutely are not” Oliver angrily stated. “They are half-truths from a self-serving half-man who has somehow convinced half the country that sacrifice is the same thing as success.”

It really is stunning that we’re all living in a time where a presidential candidate actually had the nerve to compare his business record as a “sacrifice” up against a family whose son died fighting for this country. There really doesn’t seem to be anything Donald Trump can say or do that will make his supporters abandon him. This is twice where he’s blatantly belittled the record of a legitimate American hero — and those supporting him simply don’t care.

Oliver concluded the segment by expressing his frustration with the sheer and total ignorance of Trump.

“Honestly, the main take-away from these two weeks is that, incredibly, we may be on the brink of electing such a damaged, sociopathic narcissist, that the simple presidential duty of comforting the families of fallen soldiers might actually be beyond his capabilities,” Oliver stated. “And I genuinely did not think that was the part of the job that someone could be bad at.”

That statement might not seem like anything extraordinary, but it’s rather telling. When you really think about it, during a moment when all Donald Trump had to do was be humble and honor the family whose son died fighting for this country, he couldn’t even do that. He’s such an arrogant megalomaniac that, because the Khan family was critical of him, he couldn’t resist talking down about Captain Humayun Khan’s parents because they dared to bruise his massive ego.

I’m legitimately embarrassed that this bumbling idiot is being allowed to represent this country to the rest of the world. We cannot allow Donald Trump to become our next president. The damage he will do to this country will be so extensive, I really don’t think we’ll ever be able to recover.

And now Trump is saying that Khan “viciously” attacked him.

Just compare what Khan has said to what Trump has done. Include all the slur articles about Khan floating around Facebook. Then add how easily Trump can spread a statement to the press versus Khan’s temporary ability to defend himself.

Only conclusion is that once again (in a long line of Trump’s infantile tirades) Trump has such a thin skin that he shouldn’t be allowed any position of authority. Once again, the toddler on the playground is whining to the teacher that another kid was mean to him because the kid didn’t do what he wanted. (And if you think I’m stretching the analogy too far, look at the military general who, because he spoke at the DNC, was instantly branded by Trump as a Loser.)

Yes, living in a penthouse, having gourmet meals, sitting on seats actually made of gold. Trump’s sacrifices were far more than the folks who had it so easy because we sent them to war.

Bill, Hillary, and Obama didn’t volunteer for anything either. Neither did they ever provide private payroll jobs. They became millionaires working in the public sector.

Had Hillary and others members of Congress not unconstitutionally voted to give away their constitutionally delegated congressional power to declare war to Bush, the Khans’ son might have still been alive today. I find it sad and pathetic that they would back Hillary after her vote contributed to their son’s death.
