Jon Stewart Ridicules Republican Reaction to Hillary Clinton Running for President (Video)

jon-stewart-ted-cruz-ridiculeIt’s no secret that Republicans absolutely cannot stand Hillary Clinton – though I think their disdain for her is derived more from the fact that they’re terrified of having to face her in an election than any sort of negative feelings toward her actual politics.

So when the former First Lady, New York Senator and Secretary of State announced that she was going to run for president on Sunday, it was expected that the reaction from the GOP would be quite abrasive.

But the truth is, their attacks on her weren’t as abrasive as much as they were just childish and immature. Heck, Sen. Rand Paul basically had a complete meltdown on Twitter following her announcement, sending out 28 anti-Hillary tweets in the span of a few hours.

Needless to say, the right-wing freak out following Hillary’s announcement did not go unnoticed by Jon Stewart.

After poking fun at the fact that Paul’s first real campaign ad is directed at Clinton – someone he’s not even currently running against – Stewart slammed the creepiness of Sen. Ted Cruz’s response.

“Are you f*cking kidding me?” Stewart asked. “Rand Paul’s got Saatchi and Saatchi on the case. Priebus is manufacturing premiums, and you’re banging out a quick Vine on what looks like the set of a 1970s p*rno shoot?”

Hyperbole aside, he’s right. Cruz’s video looked as if it was filmed in some seedy room with poor lighting, appearing more like something some college student might shoot with an iPhone at their apartment rather than an “official” response from a GOP presidential candidate.

Then Stewart took aim at the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre who said at this year’s NRA convention that “eight years of one demographically symbolic president is enough.” In other words, it’s time we get back to the good ol’ fashion white guys living in the White House.

But that wasn’t all LaPierre said. Later he went on to describe a potential Hillary presidency as some absurdly over-the-top bleak, desolate existence that would essentially reduce this country to ashes.

“And when you and your children are walking this haunted wasteland, feasting on the bodies of the dead, crying out to God to save you from your cursed existence, you will rue the day you voted for a center-leftish establishment Democrat,” Stewart mocked.

To put it into perspective just how petty the conservative attacks were on Hillary, following the release of her video online, Paul’s campaign website began selling broken hard drives for $100 to mock the “email scandal” Republicans tried their best to get to stick – except nobody really cared.

How juvenile can someone be? And he wants to be president? Paul needs to learn how to act like an adult first.

Unfortunately, I see these attacks going from petty to downright vile. The truth is, the only “plan” the GOP seems to have to try to defeat Hillary in 2016 is to slander her as much as possible – which is exactly what they’ve been trying to do for the last three years.

Luckily, she’s not intimidated by them. She’s been there, done that, and I fully believe at the end of the day she’s going to end up cruising to an easy victory with a big smile on her face.

Stewart and Hillary. Both past their primes and on the way out. Yesterday’s news meets Yesterday’s comedy.

    • Randy Nichols

I never even thought Jon Stewart was funny. So I guess the top philosophical mind on the left is a comedian. Actually I think most of these people in here think his show was a real news show or something.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

Not surprising…most repubes don’t have a sense of humor. Something is missing in their brains that normal functioning humans have.

      • Randy Nichols

Seriously, even Chris Rock does not want to work colleges because the left has destroyed their sense of humor.. You guys are always angry and hating something.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

Seriously guy, there is no reasoning with someone like you who lives in an alternate reality. And your bubble is so thick that you have no idea of what you are saying……Go back to world nut daily or CNS or whatever nut job site you frequent and whack off in your bubble.

      • Randy Nichols

I don’t have a bubble.. I go and find my own answers and do not accept propaganda.. I am not like you and run from the truth for the fear it will destroy the false truths you hold dear. You are getting so angry, yet I thought you guys were so loving and tolerant. Oh, I don’t need to whack off, I have a fine looking lady that takes care of me. You know if you get a life you might find one too if that is your thing.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

If you watch Fox and frequent right wing sites, you take in a heavy dose of strictly propaganda. No offense man but, you don’t know what you don’t know.

      • Randy Nichols

I watch about 5 mins of fox in the morning.. and about 10 mins of CNN at lunch time in lounge at work. I get my news from every source I can find… I even go to fringe sites like Forward Progressive and Salon.. I am not afraid to get news from all sources. The best place is foreign news, they actually do investigative journalism and not in political party pocket. Obviously you get all your news from the Daily Show, or websites like this one. Which is so bad its like satire.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

great story and i love the way you tell it….

yeah, you’ve got it all figured out….smh.

      • Randy Nichols

Uh huh…well I am ahead of you. Hope one day you figure it out. You know you can actually try to accomplish something in life rather than sitting back and being jealous and envious of those that do.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

yeah man, again whatever lets you sleep at night. Might want to get some rest as you probably have a big day ahead working on your JuCo education in shitheel Texas/Oklahoma or where ever baggers like you reside.

      • Randy Nichols

I do believe you are one of the most bigoted people I have every talked to… very fascinating. I don’t care where you are from, since all places have insecure, ignorant people… you could be from anywhere. I am going to guess your bigotry and hate is fueled by jealously and envy.. since you have not been able to achieve anything in life and you blame everyone but yourself.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

BTW, I don’t tolerate intolerant people. I don’t know why you would assume that of liberal people other than you have some warped small town view of what progressives and liberals are.

      • Randy Nichols

LOL…listen to yourself.. I have demonstrated a lot more tolerance than you have. You are not tolerant at all. You are intolerant of anyone that disagrees with you. I suppose you only hate haters.. and a hater is let me guess…anyone that disagrees with you. I hate to break this to you but that is not tolerance at all. and hate is hate for whatever reason. So you are an intolerant hater.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

maybe you are a liberal then and you just don’t know it yet….by your own definition, you are

      • Randy Nichols

I the classical sense I am more liberal than you are. I believe in liberty, freedom of expression, individualism, freedom of speech and freedom of ideas. So yes, In that sense I am a liberal.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

Well, Hillary will appreciate your vote in 2016 then if she is the candidate.

      • Randy Nichols

Hillary will not get my vote.. if Republican nominee is Bush I will not vote since they are the same. I will be campaigning for and contributing my money to TED CRUZ. I don’t care who you vote for, and I am not interested in changing your mind, you have your head too far up your backside to ever realize the truth, but I will be doing all I can to convince sensible intelligent people.

  • bestfriend

The Republicans just don’t like that Hillary is for everyday people, and Jon has some everyday people who clean up after him that he says hi to.

    • Randy Nichols

You make me laugh… what makes you think Hillary is for everyday people? Because she says so? or because some comedian is using his public platform to tell jokes on her behalf. Don’t tell me the scooby doo van did it for you. She didn’t even leave a tip at the Chipotle when she was there. She has pulled in millions from foreigners and she can’t even tip?

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

Ahhh…the chipotle tip fake outrage du jour. Let me guess, Rush talked about this on his show yesterday in your tiny town… And now you are outraged because Rush told you the “truth”. Does that sound about right?

      • Randy Nichols

I didn’t hear it on rush, I heard interview with employee on the news on the way home. I am not outraged… you should be, you are the one that believes she is for the little people… I know better. My little town? What does the size of ones town have to do with anything. If you are making an attempt to be insulting.. perhaps you should elaborate more on what you are trying to imply. I am old enough that I got an education and not an indoctrination, if you are trying to make a insinuation on intelligence..I will be glad to debate you on any subject.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

again idiot, tips are an insult in 1st world countries. Chipotle should pay its employees a living wage so they don’t have to beg for tips for simply ringing up an item. What kind of a country have we become where employees at the counter have to beg for tips? I would be willing to bet that Hillary will fix that.

Ted Cruz??? He would cut those employees salaries because he just doesn’t care. he believes that the “free market fairy” will magically raise wages and provide benefits because chipotle will really start caring only if their taxes are a little bit lower….yeah…that has always worked. dolt

      • Randy Nichols

LOL.. really tips are insult? You are really trying aren’t you, gosh it must be hard being you. Tips are a way to let someone know you appreciate their efforts.. but I guess individual generosity with your own money is not a liberal concept. You prefer to take it from other people, then give it out and say how generous you are.. I guess that is why every time Conservatives have always donated more to charities than democrats.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

you should travel outside of your bubble every now and then. Try a first world country sometime where they pay their employees a living wage. Believe it or not there are some establishments in Seatle that are finally trying the same thing. Again guy, get out of your small ass hick town and try another country or even another state in the country. It’s not as scarey as you might think.

      • Randy Nichols

The US is a first world country, and the people here are more prosperous than most anyplace else. Was most prosperous before liberals go too much control. I have been to many third world nations. I am sure I am more traveled than you are. So, lets just pay everyone $200 an hour… then we all would be rich right? Quick lesson in economics for you… Mcdonalds worker makes $8 hr, then seattle forces them to pay $15 an hour. Prices go up, to offset the raise in wages… now everything cost more money, and $15 is no longer enough to live on. Now.. if we did not have unlimited illegal aliens coming to this country, and and giving them amnesty, McDonalds would have to pay more money to attract workers and to keep them. The might even end up paying more than $15 in some areas, depends on the market. So it is the democrats that have cause the wages to be low for all jobs that lower skilled workers could do.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

tell me where your Ayn Rand, libertard views on wages/taxes has ever worked. Libertards like Ted Cruz and the GOP are living in a dream world. The experiment has never ever worked anywhere. Show me where Cruz’ plan has succeeded, in all of your well traveled past…LOL BTW, Cancun, TJ and Puerto Vallarta does not mean you have actually traveled. Your first sentence gives you away as a total hayseed my friend. You sir, have never traveled, let alone lived in another country, so please stop before you look any more stupid

      • Randy Nichols

First, what is your bigotry against small towns? You really seem to have a real hatred for anyone that lives in a small town or is rural. Well I was born and raised in a city with over a million people. But I do live in a smaller town now of about 20,000 since progressive policies policies have made large cities unsafe to live in. Never been to TJ, or Puerto Villarta, but have driven through heart of Mexico. I have been to Honduras and Belize, Guatemala, and Panama.. and not tourist areas of those countries. Though I have also traveled as tourist to other places as well. I am familiar with Ayn Rand, but never have read her work, but she came from soviet union and saw first hand how much better our system was and wrote about it. You have revealed yourself to be totally ignorant on economics, and do not even understand how a free market economy works. You have no idea what individual liberty means, you are one of the stupid naive people that wants government to take care of you. Obviously you are too ignorant and lack the motivation to get a good education, work hard and live the American dream… that is why you are so bitter and filled with hate.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

you know even less about me, where I am from, my background, job, than you know about economics. I don’t know why you pretend to know anything other than you think you are smarter than you really are. Most Libertards share that same delusion. Your assumptions about me and life in general are child-like. I also really enjoy listening to libertards pretend they have an idea of how and why an economy works. Your delusions of adequacy are fascinating, yet sad. I’m sure you also think you are kind of a big deal in your town, but really looking at that photo, you more than likely have a fat ugly wife who just tolerates your long winded diatribes about what you read on some right wing blog and how everything was just peachy under Dumbya Bush but now Obama ruined the American dream for everyone. You just can’t stop babbling and i’m sure you annoy the hell out of her and your children if you are able to produce any.

I only say this because political discourse in our country sucks and you do nothing to help that. You come to a liberal site to sling shit and then are outraged when someone calls you out on your bullshit. I hope you don’t treat people the way you are around here but I bet you are all full of assumptions and judgements about everyone you walk by who doesn’t look or act like you. And BTW, when repukes actually can act civil, I will return in kind. If you come here only to be a prick, expect that in return as you would if you were a prick in a bar acting all smug like you had a clue WTF you were talking about. Believe me, if we had this conversation for real, you would never repeat that mistake again.

  • Creeayshun Sighuntist

Clinton Derangement Syndrome is just getting fired up and Jon Stewart is the perfect person to sum it up. I sure am glad conservatives don’t get humor or have anyone remotely as talented as him to make a point. If they did, maybe people under the age of 68 would pay attention to their candidates.

    • Randy Nichols

Hello… it has been all over news lately that comedians say the left has no sense of humor and get offended at everything. Republicans are a lot more fun loving, and not near as uptight as the left. Your candidate will be 69 if elected.. speaking of old fashioned, your party is filled with old hippies that want to relive the 60s, and the rest wanting to live the heyday they missed… This is not 60s, and like it or not you are now the establishment.. .you have the courts, you have the bureaucracy, you have the whitehouse, you have the media… No sir, conservatives are now the anti establishment movement.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

wow….where to begin with that reach…..

      • Randy Nichols

I know… hurts your whole fantasy about being a 60s anti establishment protester… but sorry my friend you missed it. You are now the establishment and if it is broke, your broke it.

  • kathimc63

I live in North eastern Pennsylvania. After Hillary announced she was running for president, a person or persons unknown reacted in a way I could not believe. They went to the grave of her parents and knocked over the tombstone. This shows me, more than anything else that we are not dealing with rational people.

    • Macdoodle

      That is awesome!

    • Randy Nichols

News flash… there are irrational people in this world. So what is your implication, that it was a Republican? You are voting for her anyway, regardless if that happened.. you have no idea who done it. Do you feel better now that you spewed that out. That sounds more like something someone on the left would do to generate sympathy… do I have proof? I have as much as you have. Hey accusations are free and anyone can throw them out there.

      • Creeayshun Sighuntist

        hi troll.

      • Randy Nichols

Oh my you hurt me LOL… seriously though… is that the best you can do.
