When I first came across a few headlines that read something like “Ted Nugent Apologizes for Using Slur,” I just had to find out exactly what this raving lunatic said. There was no way I believed that this parasite actually apologized to President Obama for using a slur (“subhuman mongrel”) that was commonly used by Nazis when referencing Jews.
Then I read what he said, and it was exactly what I had expected.
My following anger wasn’t solely directed at him, but also at the numerous media outlets who actually called this an “apology” in their headline.
Ted Nugent didn’t apologize for a damn thing.
This is what he said:
“I do apologize, not necessarily to the president, but on behalf of much better men than myself.”
What the hell does that even mean?
He called the President of the United States a “subhuman mongrel” (a Nazi slur) and then he “apologized” for saying it not to the man he insulted – but on behalf of “better men” than himself?
Being a “better man” than Ted Nugent is setting the bar pretty damn low. When you’re a draft dodging pedophile, you’re pretty much at the bottom rung of the human species.
And if he’s not apologizing to President Obama, then what’s he “apologizing” for? You don’t call someone a disgusting name, then apologize to nobody.
This was clearly him saying “sorry” for the sake of saying sorry because some Republicans had probably told him he needed to publicly apologize for his remarks.
Except, he didn’t apologize.
Nugent could have acted like a man for once in his life and simply said he was wrong and apologized to the President of the United States. It takes a bigger man to make a mistake and then admit that you were wrong, than it does to make an ass out of yourself and continue to bash the person you were insulting. Which is exactly what Nugent continued to do.
He said that he was using, “the streetfighter terminology of ‘subhuman mongrel’ instead of just using more understandable language, such as ‘violator of his own … Constitution.’ The liar that he is.”
Nothing quite like “apologizing” and then continuing to attack the person to which you were supposedly apologizing.
Then again, what should any of us expect from someone who urinated and defecated in their pants to avoid going to Vietnam, wrote a song expressing his sexual desire for a 13-year-old girl, then admitted later to having an addiction to sex with underaged girls.
But anyone calling what Nugent said an “apology” is out of their minds. This wasn’t an apology. Simply including the word “sorry” in a statement doesn’t make someone remorseful.
Ted Nugent is a disgusting excuse for a human being. Anyone supporting this draft dodging sexual predator should be ashamed and embarrassed of themselves. But I guess millions of Americans care about supporting some gun nut who hates the president more than they care about condemning a pedophile.
