Lawless Texas “Militias” Patrolling Border, Threatening Illegal Immigrants They Encounter with Death

Lunacy is apparently breaking out on the Texas border.

Apparently around 10 “teams” of these clowns who like to call themselves members of “organized militias” (when in reality all they are is a bunch of guys who couldn’t outgrow playing with their G.I. Joe’s) have been “patrolling” along the Texas border looking for illegal immigrants. All this despite the fact that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a statement saying they don’t “endorse or support any private group or organization from taking matters into their own hands, as it could have disastrous personal and public safety consequences.”

To get an idea of just what kind of people we’re dealing with here, just look at the comments made by Chris Davis, the “commander” of Operation Secure Our Border: Laredo Sector, in a 21 minute video that has since been deleted.  In part, he proudly instructs, “You see an illegal.  You point your gun dead at him, right between his eyes, and you say, ‘Get back across the border or you will be shot.'”

For the record, that’s a “commander” of one group admitting that he has threatened to murder illegal immigrants if they don’t listen to him.  Someone with absolutely zero legal authority to handle illegal immigration, let alone to threaten to use deadly force for a crime that isn’t punishable by death.

Oh, and according to the San Antonio Express-News, Davis was discharged from the military “under other than honorable conditions in lieu of trial by court-martial.”  Though they don’t specify the exact reason he was discharged.

But to further show just how ridiculous these Rambo-wannabes are, the Express-News published around 30 images of these individuals.  And – they look exactly as comical as what you might expect.

I mean just take a look at this guy:

GhostMask

He’s wearing all black “tactical gear” during daylightwith sand colored boots.  So I guess it’s okay that he sticks out like a sore thumb, just as long as his boots blend in with the terrain.  And that mask.  That stupid, idiotic mask.  This guy defines the term “assclown.”

But not only do they look absolutely ridiculous, check out the names of these “militia groups”:

Bolinas Border Patrol, Central Valley Militia, Independent Citizens Militia, Alpha Team, Bravo Team, FOB Harmony, Operation Secure Our Border: Laredo Sector, O’Shanessy’s Team, the 77’s and Camp Geronimo.

I can’t tell if those are supposed to be names of various “militias” or  if they’re the team names of a 10-team fantasy football league comprised of 14-year-olds obsessed with the video game Call of Duty.

This is the thing that cracks me up about these “militias.”  These morons have absolutely no authority to enforce any laws.  Can they locate, round up and bring these immigrants to the proper officials?  Sure.  But a random group of people can’t simply call themselves a militia, head down to a border, then start enforcing their own rules and methods for enforcing them.

Honestly, what’s the difference between these individuals and some kind of rogue vigilante?

Though let me address one of the elephants in the room and ask, “Do these people not have jobs?”  How do they find so much time to not work while they’re out playing army dress up with their other gun nut friends?

These people aren’t “proud patriotic Americans defending this nation,” they’re idiots – period.  They’re the kind of guys who think they know how to fight because they watch UFC pay-per-views.

But let’s be honest, these people aren’t part of any “militia.”  They’re just gun nuts who happen to know one another, hanging out on the border, apparently threatening to murder immigrants who are coming here illegally.

I just can’t fathom how anyone can take these people seriously.  Again, just look at these clowns:

MilitiaIdiots

I love how they appear to be using the 13 Stars “Betsy Ross” version of our American Flag. Ironic, seeing as Texas was definitely not one of the 13 original colonies. These “Proud ‘Merican” asshats aren’t even using that flag with a star to represent the state that they’re “occupying”.

    • Mrs_oatmeal

Scary creeps that think they represent something good. They are basically out terrorizing people with their crazy costumes and guns.

Why haven’t they been arrested? Murder, and threatening to murder, human beings IS illegal, right?

    • Jillz

That’s the part I don’t get. And if one of these whack jobs actually does murder one of the refugees, will they be charged with murder or will they get a free pass b/c the victim wasn’t American?

They will bury the body in the desert. You need to DRIVE I-35 from Laredo to understand what NOTHING looks like.

Menacing is their crime, but the Border Patrol is kinda busy right now.

      • DavidD

The State of Texas has some DPS troopers who could make some time for them.
Our Governor and Attorney General don’t seem to concerned about it and they are sworn to uphold the rule of law
Someone will get hurt or someone will get killed and if it’s found out,(and it will these criminals will brag about it to the wrong person) then they will make all the right noises .

It is illegal to murder and threaten an individual. How many have they murdered so far? What reports are coming in by individuals who have been personally threatened? It is also illegal to sneak across the border. Are you for arresting everyone who has done so? While we are at it, how does how many human beings have these militia guys murdered compared with how many human beings illegal aliens have murdered in the US and why isn’t everyone’s outrage on this thread proportionate to that reality? If the federal government had been doing its job protecting the border with sufficient numbers of border patrol agents and the army if necessary, Texas probably wouldn’t have mobilized its Guard and these amateur militia characters would probably have never been heard from.

      • Are you asking questions seeking answers?
Or are you just whining with a question mark?

You are showing extreme ignorance of the current crisis of unaccompanied children crossing the border. Mexico has this thing called “sovereighnty” which means our army can’t go there and keep anyone from walking up to our border. Once children cross our border, our Border Patrol is doing a very skillful job of picking them up. The issue then is what to do with them – hand them over to the sex traffickers and gangs they were fleeing, or do something responsible.

The militia gangs aren’t going to be taking in very many children, I suspect.

      • strayaway

The US used to also have “this thing called “sovereignty””. We had a border and a Constitution giving Congress the means to defend it against invasions. This isn’t just the President’s fault. The 11.5 million people illegally here dragging down US workers’ wages, taxpayers, and our middle class constitutes an invasion. The Presidents of Mexico and Guatamala signed an agreement allowing Central Americans 72 hour legal passes to travel to to the US border and enter illegally. That was an act of aggression against US sovereignty. I didn’t suggest that our army “go there and keep anyone from walking up to our border”. But the army could fill the gaps left by a border patrol reassigned to do paperwork and deliver illegal alien children to their parents. Illegal aliens aren’t the only thing coming across the border. The army could simply turn illegal aliens around and make them go back through the holes in the fences. The overwhelming majority of illegal aliens are still adults anyway. If Democrats can reverse the sequestration law, they can as easily reverse the talking point law requiring hearing they like to blame on Bush.

No one suggested handing the children over to “the sex traffickers and gangs they were fleeing.” 93% come with addresses of destinations and most are addresses of relatives. In fact, coyotes, working for the drug gangs were paid $7-8,000 to smuggle them to our border most likely paid by their US relatives. There has been no change in the persistent violence found in Central American countries. High as it is, the murder rate there is actually edging down. I don’t like your idea of culturally importing that violence to this Country. The only explanation for the surge in minors is that based on Obama’s recent actions (dreamers) and initiatives (amnesty) they have hope in obtaining freebees and employment in the US. They can all claim to be dreamers. That is the variable; not changes in Central American crime rates.

President Obama is in league with drug gangs providing coyotes, John McCain, Benedict Arnold Gutierrez, the US Chamber of Commerce seeking more cheap labor, LaRaza, the government of Mexico, and apparently yourself. On the other side are US workers, unemployed Americans, taxpayers, and the middle class. I’m on their side.

      • Di Kelley

Like I said on the one article I support amnesty done correctly. The US created many of the conditions responsible for these children’s parents sending them over the border in search of safety for them, which makes it our responsibility to care for them. It isn’t the fault of these immigrants that corporations have control of our government. It isn’t the fault of these immigrants that due to the minimum wage not being a liveable wage people find it hard to survive. Multiple wars that we should not have ever been involved in has contributed a great deal more to our poor economy than immigrants ever could.

      • strayaway

Those children’s parent should never have been allowed to cross our borders or stay. The best way to reunite those families is to send the parents back at the expense of their cheating employers who profited from cheaper illegal labor.

It’s largely the same bunch of politicians owned by interests such as the corporations behind the US Chamber of Commerce who both encourage destructive to US worker trade treaties as condone illegal aliens to compete for remaining work in the US. If our corporations didn’t get such a free reign in these countries, they wouldn’t be there making life tough for the locals. Meanwhile, President Obama is trying to fast track the TPP to make things worse for workers and more profitable for international corporations.

Still, I don’t think we should punish US workers for the sins of our corrupt politicians. This only rewards their puppet masters.

      • Di Kelley

I don’t blame Obama for TPP. TPP and NAFTA both were Republican ideas, if I remember rightly. Most Progressives actually do not support either. I certainly don’t., But I do support not sending children back into dangerous conditions where they are likely to be killed when we as a people should be willing to give a shit enough about our fellow man (Not just the fellow man born in the US either) to help them.

      • strayaway

You and I don’t support the TPP but no matter whose bad idea it is, Obama is conducting secret negotiations and trying to fast track it. Progressives shouldn’t support the TPP and should be outraged at Obama for his role in this.

Those kids are not going to get shot any more than other kids in their culture. What you are proposing is to import their violence here. Honduras still has the highest murder rate in the world. The average age of these “children” is 14 and 84-91% of them are teenagers depending on which survey one reads. 80% are male. Being that old, some are already in gangs and being recruited once they get here. This isn’t about a bunch of sweet little six year old girls. The reason they are coming is to get jobs and freebees.

      • Di Kelley

Which again goes back to the “we should give enough of a shit about our fellow man to help them.” Afraid of it being importing violence? Give them legitimate work, make them work and contribute and pay their own way. Stop letting companies export their labor overseas. I also in some ways do not support uniionization because it makes things a lot more expensive for companies which is part of why they are exporting these jobs. Put the money they would spend on being union back into raising wages.

      • strayaway

“Give them legitimate work, make them work and contribute and pay their own way.”

When my father immigrated to the US, his in-laws had to sign papers that they were responsible for all his bills, including medical bills, if he didn’t pay them. They would have lost their house before welfare stepped in. That policy should be readopted. Otherwise, since illegal aliens displace US workers and contribute to their unemployment and stagnant wages, where are these great jobs going to come from that will keep gang members from acting like gang members. Why should Honduran gang members be treated better than unskilled blacks and other Americans anyway?

As a union member, I like unions. Rich people can afford lawyers, lobbyists, and accountants to look after their interests. Unions provide those things to working people by similarly look after their interests. Yes, unions raise prices a bit but look at it as grabbing a larger share of the national economic pie for working people. This works best if there is a labor shortage and there won’t be any labor shortages if we send jobs abroad and bring import a larger supply of labor.

      • Clemente Deleon-Catts

I’m sorry illegals do not take American jobs; The jobs illegals do are the ones that most American think they are to good to do! We Americans are spoiled and think we are to good to shovel crap or work out in the fields to feed America. They want a union for this or that to make $37+ per hour to watch #2 pencils run on a conveyer belt. Many Americans are lazy and rather smoke meth or crack, live off the welfare and beat their meat occasionally. Lets get real it’s like years ago in America we use these people to do what if it happen in in places such as China we American would call it slave labor. Be real America needs illegals because they serve a need just as the old south needed negros to work in the cotton fields. So, think when you see “illegals” think that they are doing the jobs that we Americans snub are noses at..Jobs such a being a care taker in a nursing home cleaning the rears of your old mothers, fathers and grand parents that you throw away when their usefulness wanes and you are to busy with your life to care for them and maybe on Christmas or Passover you may go to the nursing home and visit them and say ” Hi Carmen, how’s my mother been?” And Carmen responds, “Muy bien…Señora….?? Is that your mother?”

      • strayaway

They do take US jobs. That’s why they are allowed in here. They do any job US workers won’t do for illegal alien wages. Meat packing jobs used to be good paying union jobs until the big packers built new plants and brought in foreign non-union labor. Union plants went out of business or got rid of their unions to compete. Take a look at a lot of construction sites today. Same thing going on there. It isn’t just illegal labor of course. Billionaires Buffett, Gates, and Adelson recently supported increasing the number of tech workers brought into this Country to get their costs down. The US Chamber of Commerce wants amnesty to destroy the ability of US workers to demand more compensation. This is about supply and demand. The greater the supply of labor, the less labor can demand. Doctors, by the way, do a lot of disgusting work too just like nursing home aids but pay again makes the difference. My target is the cheating employers who hire illegal labor to reap profits. They are the ones who should be criminalized to the point that they will pay more for US labor.

Equally important in any discussion of illegal or imported foreign labor are policies that encourage sending our jobs abroad. They are two sides of the same coin making it possible for the 1% to grab more and more of our national wealth.

    • CZGuy99

Show me where they have done ANY of those things…. however, they are there to help stem the tide of KNOWN illegal activity – human trafficking, violating our border, drug trafficking

  • PapaD

When are they going to start threatening African Americans? Then go after Catholics? Jews? This is becoming typical of radical responses and the “I, Me, and my,” generation. Dangerous beyond belief…

    • Jo Clark

Spot on. I have said this for years and years. When they’re done with one group, they ALWAYS find another group to prey on. Heck, nowadays they have several … not only the Latinos, but the poor, the LGBT, the women and to some degree the African Americans (thugs, lazy, moochers, welfare bums, etc.).

But rest assured, they’ll always be preying on someone.

      • giankeys luvs shemale porn

yep– in infighting has just begun ( see: eric cantor)

    • DavidD

What makes you think they haven’t been already. These are Klan mentality people and I’m sure there is a lot of dual memberships.

    • CZGuy99

They don’t have to – the government is already going after Christians and Jews and letting Muslims run roughshod over everybody else. African Americans are have been hung out to dry while the new favorite voting block of the progressive movement, the illegal alien, is being welcomed with open arms

  • Sunnysmom

Wow, we have our very own separatists on the border. Absolutely disgusting. It’s only a matter of time before they murder someone, if they haven’t already.

    • BadKitty

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have. No one would know.

    • Stephen Barlow

      Think Putin sent them here?

  • richard

The difference, and it’s huge, is that unlike video games…..real guns can shoot in both directions. The first time one of these idiots gets hit with a spinning AK47 round, the reality of armed conflict will make itself known very quickly. I’m a VietNam-era former Navy Hospital Corpsman, these people disgust me.

    • Stephen Barlow

Thanks for your service Sir. And extra thanks for not being like half the halfass jarheads who wear Mime face in the desert and SWEAR they were seals. Or porpoises.

    • Ted Govostis

Problem with this is that they are a bunch of cowards. They aren’t going after people who can shoot back. The people they encounter are most likely scared, exhausted, dehydrated. If they actually ran into cartel types smuggling stuff, let’s just say it would take 7 years for their wives to collect on life insurance.

    • DavidD

I’m an old vet myself from back then but thank God i never saw combat.Went in harm’s way as a firefighter.
These people contradict every thing we signed up to defend. To see them in military camo is sickening.

    ” mommie,,,,,,where is Kenya”?

    • Clemente Deleon-Catts

Oh Sweetie, Kenya is right there by Ireland where those other illegals come from…But honey we can’t talk about that! Remember darling when Papa Obama comes for the guns, tell him you want to trade it for some of those fine looking spears they be chucking in Kenya and Ireland..

  • Brian

This is what’s wrong with America’s gun mentality and the ridiculous NRA propaganda that guns are for fighting the government or whatever. These people hear a ton of that all the time, and they get these fantasies about heroically overthrowing the government. When a black man gets elected president, the right-wing media tells them that this is it, their chance is coming, and now they see an excuse to finally play it out. They see some ridiculous, narcissistic, egotistical cause that they think is for defending their country from evil invaders that happen to be below the age of 14 and fleeing from violence created by Coca Cola and Chiquita Bananas.

    • Stephen Barlow

Just bust ONE militia for spouting that seditious crap about revolution and they will ALL go under ground. I mean like Ruby Ridge publicly arrest them, irlift them out and try them in Federal court.

  • liberal

This article was nothing but ad hominem fallacies. No statistics, no facts, nothing but your opinion on the issue of their wardrobe. This article is a joke. Coming from a liberal interested in actual progression, please stop reducing your attempts to foster a movement to the argumentative equivalence of stick swinging.

    • Adam Smith

Actually, there were a couple of facts. They don’t have any legal authority and they do look like idiots.

    • ShelleysLeg

WHAT argument is being rejected here?

An ‘ad hominem’ is an attack on the WRITER of the article, citing an irrelevant fact about HIM. I see NO attacks on Mr. Clifton.

I don’t think you understand the term you think you are using.

    • Cemetery Girl

By what authority do they have the right to go out in a desert and threaten to shoot people? You know, it really annoys me when people speed down the road I live on, especially when the school across the street is letting out and kids are walking home, so perhaps I should stand in my yard (dressed in black), take one of my husband’s rifles, and stand in my yard threatening to shoot anyone that I believe is speeding. Oh wait, that would be insane. I would probably end up with the local SWAT team surrounding my yard.

      • Chris Miller

Thank you for a perfect response to a dumbass

    • Stephen Barlow

Says the bot without a face.

  • Doesn’t Texas law require long guns to be carry unloaded until they are engaged in hunting or target practice? That is a long stretch from patrolling our borders. By what authority are they lawfully carrying loaded long guns in this “militia” or are we to assume they are following the law by keeping their weapons unloaded after intentionally placing themselves into a conflict. The law of self defense is clear on this. These guys while their motives may be pure have entered into mutual combat thus they cant claim the right of self defense. If they fire their weapons they will be the initial aggressors. This I know for a fact.

    • DavidD

Depends if they are on private land and have the owner’s permission. If they do not have permission they can be arrested for tresspassing. If they show fight they can be shot graveyard dead by the sheriff’s department ,the owner or the owner’s agent.
If they are on the sand bars between the banks they are on state land or Mexico.
Very little Federal land in Texas unless you are in Big Bend National Park.

  • Eg Kbbs

By their own statement you point your gun at them and threaten to shoot them.

So by their own admission they’re guilty of a large number of assault with a deadly weapon. So tell me again how they’re law and order.

  • Chris Miller

I couldn’t agree more with every single aspect of this story. You know, becoming an adult is actually upsetting, as I get to witness the complete immaturity, ignorance, and stupidity from other adults, not with airsoft guns, not with paintball guns, but with weapons that can actually kill other human beings. Every single one of these “militia” members should be investigated and, if what they’ve stated in their video is true, arrested.
