When Michele Bachmann first announced that she would not be seeking re-election, I celebrated like most people on the left did. Then it kind of hit me that I was going to miss her being one of the leading faces in Congress making the Republican party look like complete idiots. It’s why I’ve embraced people like Bachmann, Beck, Palin and Cruz. These are the people I want the American voter to think of whenever they envision the GOP.
But then it quickly hit me what a media sensation Bachmann is going to become. She’s like Palin-lite – she absolutely loves attention. Not only that, but it’s a fairly safe bet that she’s going to try to run for president again in 2016, so she’s going to be heard from plenty during the next two years.
That’s a great thing for progressives/liberals, because like I said, Bachmann is exactly the type of Republican you want representing the GOP.
That way she can provide great gems like she did recently during an interview with World Net Daily, where she laughably tried to claim that she defeated liberals by using facts and “truth.”
“Well, telling the truth bothers them,” Bachmann said of liberals. “They don’t like to have the truth told about them, and that’s really what it is. I didn’t fear the left. I decided to take them on in the arena of ideas by attacking their false premises and their false narratives.”
“That’s the best way to defeat them, by the way, defeat them with evidence and defeat them with their false premises, and I did that,” she continued.
Except, that’s not at all what she did. In fact, Politifact has her as one of the biggest liars in all of politics. If you go to their page and look over her profile, 75 percent of the statements they fact checked were ranked as “Mostly False,” “False” or flat-out “Pants on Fire.”
She has proven to be one of the most dishonest members of Congress that we’ve had in most of our lifetimes.
Oh, but she wasn’t done.
“I took them on, and their agenda, and I went to the heart of whatever it was they wanted to advance, and tried to take it apart through evidence-based arguments, and they don’t like that,” Bachmann said. “When the left argues, they argue from emotionalism.”
I’ll just let that level of stupidity speak for itself.
And while I know many progressives, liberals and Democrats absolutely cannot stand her, I personally cannot wait for her to most likely become the next “Fox News paid contributor” so I can keep on laughing at just how delusional this woman really is.
