Mueller’s Latest Move Could Send Shock Waves Through the Trump Administration, RNC

Despite all the lies, propaganda, conspiracies, and other nonsense Donald Trump and his supporters continue to want to believe, the reality is that Robert Mueller’s latest move is extremely bad news for this “president” and the Republican Party.

As reported by Talking Points Memo:

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has begun interviews with Republicans National Committee staffers about the committee’s digital operations during the 2016 election, Yahoo News reported Wednesday.

According to Yahoo News’ Michael Isikoff, Mueller’s team is examining whether the joint digital operation between the RNC and President Trump’s campaign “was related to the activities of Russian trolls and bots aimed at influencing the American electorate.”

The report is based on two sources familiar with Mueller’s investigation.

This has the potential to unlock some huge pieces to this puzzle.

For a while now, like many others, I’ve been rather confused by the GOP’s reaction to all of these scandals surrounding Trump’s possible ties to Russia. While I understand typical partisan politics, something hasn’t seemed right about any of this.

Not only have most Republicans gone out of their way to avoid addressing the many scandals linked to Trump, but some have even been blatantly trying to undermine and sabotage investigations into whether or not this current “president” is compromised by a foreign adversary who launched an attack against this country aimed at undermining our democracy.

I’ve often wondered, if there was collusion, or even blackmail, how far did it go? Were there others compromised by Russians who knew what was going on and allowed it to happen, all because they, too, wanted to undercut Hillary Clinton’s ability to defeat a candidate they knew couldn’t win without a lot of help? If Russia is using blackmail to gain leverage over Trump, are there other Republicans they have dirt on as well who also might be trying to prevent the truth from coming out?

Again, that’s me just throwing out a few thoughts, but they are questions I’ve wondered based on the often bizarre behavior of some Republicans.

That’s why I found the fact that Mueller is now looking at the RNC’s behavior during last year’s election rather interesting.

When I saw this story the first question that came to mind was, “After all this time what, exactly, prompted Mueller to begin looking toward the RNC’s activities?”

I know he’s looking at Trump’s campaign to see if their talking points, mailers, email blasts, and other rhetoric might coincide with the propaganda Russians were pumping out for his benefit, but what did they find that made them suspect that there could possibly have been people at the RNC coordinating with Russians, too?

Let’s not forget, Reince Priebus, Trump’s now former White House Chief of Staff, ran the RNC up until he took that position. He was also someone seen at Trump Tower on June 9th, 2016 — the exact same day of Trump Jr.’s infamous meeting with Russians who had promised him dirt on Clinton.

If Mueller discovers evidence where the RNC, or at least individuals working for the organization, were also possibly coordinating with Russians, that could open up a proverbial “Pandora’s Box” for the GOP.

If there was collusion, the best case scenario for Republicans would be if Trump’s campaign was doing it without the knowledge of anybody else in the Republican party or the RNC. It’s quite a different story if this was a collaborative effort between Trump’s campaign and the RNC that’s now trying to be covered up and buried by Republicans who are terrified of people finding out the truth about what really went on during last year’s election. That’s exactly why I’ve said for over a year now that, while I do believe there was some sort of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russians, I don’t think he’s the only leading member of his party who knew what was going on. I think this has the potential to be a much bigger scandal than most already believe that it is.

There were several GOP senators that were aware of Trump’s association with the Russians prior to the election. That came out when this was first starting. They’re only hope of survival is to murder Mueller and get a puppet in there.

TRUMP admitted to Lester Holt in an interview that he fired Comey because he refused to back off the Russian Investigation of Flynn. That is obstruction of Justice. Congress does not have to wait for a second Obstruction of Justice charge against TRUMP they have a Recorded confession.
