New Report is One of the Best Summaries of Trump’s Ignorance I’ve Seen Yet

While I definitely opposed Donald Trump’s campaign’s platform, my biggest fear was always what his incompetence might cause on accident. When you give someone who’s clearly mentally unfit and totally unqualified a massively important job such as President of the United States — that’s extremely dangerous.

Unfortunately, my fears have been confirmed as Trump’s repeatedly made it painfully obvious that he’s not capable of grasping or understanding the reality and responsibilities that come with calling the White House home. This is someone who’s the most powerful person in this country, yet still uses cable news as a source of information instead of, you know, picking up the phone and calling the FBI, CIA, NSA, or any government agency from which he wants information or intelligence.

He also doesn’t seem to understand that, as “Commander-in-Chief,” everything he says and does matters. Long gone are the days where his Twitter temper tantrums could be dismissed as the incoherent ramblings of a mentally incompetent private citizen free to say almost whatever nonsense he wants without having to answer for his comments.

For example, his March 4th Twitter meltdown where he accused President Obama of the very illegal and unconstitutional act of telling U.S. intelligence officials to wiretap Trump Tower.

Despite having the final say on what is or isn’t classified, meaning he has the ability to declassify any information he wants in order to prove that this happened, Trump has yet to provide a single shred of evidence that this ever occurred. Though he did cite a report from Fox News and an article from the New York Times to “justify” his conspiracy. Obviously they would know more about what our intelligence agencies were doing than… the “President” of the United States.

Well, based on a new report from the New York Times, the reason Trump might have pushed this ridiculous conspiracy against his predecessor is actually quite simple: He had no idea how a FISA warrant works.

According to the NYT:

Only after he publicly accused Mr. Obama of having wiretapped his telephones last year did he ask aides how the system of obtaining eavesdropping warrants from a special foreign intelligence court worked.

However, that’s not the only issue here. Even after being informed by aides about how a FISA warrant is issued, which clearly debunked his conspiracy — he’s never admitted he was wrong. Proving that even when he knows something he’s said isn’t true, he’d rather keep pushing these conspiracies than act like an adult and admit something he said wasn’t accurate.

But this article didn’t just focus on Trump’s incompetence about FISA warrants. The entire piece is a rather scathing take down of how ill-equipped to be the leader of this country Trump was and still is. How he plays off his ignorance by portraying himself as someone who doesn’t “flip-flop” but has the ability to adapt and change his mind if he sees a better solution.

Reality tells us that’s complete nonsense.

It’s one thing for a politician to evolve on an issue or two — they’re all going to do that. It’s quite another when someone like Trump runs a campaign making bold promises people knew were blatant lies or based on his lack of understanding of something, then for him to change his stance on many of these issues once reality sets in.

Someone like Hillary Clinton knows how complicated the situation in North Korea is — Trump found out after the Chinese president explained it to him. Let that sink in. The president of China had to explain to the “President” of the United States why dealing with North Korea is extremely complex.

How can anyone expect these foreign heads of state to respect us, let alone our enemies fear us, when they know the person leading the U.S. is a mentally unhinged buffoon who can’t control himself on social media, who they’re having to explain basic foreign policy issues to during their meetings with him?

The article also goes into how he’s changed his stance on NATO, China, health care, and several other major issues he clearly knew nothing about before someone had to explain it to him after he was sworn into office. If you have a few minutes, I’d encourage everyone to check out the entire article. It’s an eye-opening look at how unqualified Trump truly is to be in charge of this country.

I’ll warn everyone, after reading it, you’ll definitely feel shame over what Trump and his supporters are doing to this country right now. People from all over the world are literally laughing at us right now because, somehow, the United States “elected” a moron like Donald Trump to lead this nation.
