One Tweet on Monday Perfectly Exemplified Trump’s Corrupt, Failing Presidency

Along with showing all the signs of a textbook narcissist, Donald Trump’s mind seems to operate like that of a preschooler who doesn’t possess the cognitive abilities to understand the reality around him. It’s like I told a buddy of mine over the weekend, if you look at how Trump behaves, along with a lot of the things he says, it’s as if he truly doesn’t understand that he’s “the president.”

A perfect example of what I mean could be seen in this tweet he sent out Monday:

Why a “president” would need to ask this question like some random person off the streets is mind-boggling. If he truly wonders this, all he has to do is pick up a phone and ask.

If he wants to know why the State Department or Congress isn’t investigating Hillary Clinton for whatever alleged crimes he thinks she’s committed — all he has to do is ask them.

Yet here this moron is ranting on Twitter about this nonsense like he has no way of getting these answers, for no other reason than to work his supporters up and continue to play the victim.

The worst part is, his supporters are too gullible to realize how stupid it is for someone in his position — the “President” of the United States — to go on social media and ask such idiotic questions that he has the power to ask directly to the attorney general and congressional committee members

It’s the same way Trump seems to get “intelligence briefings” from Fox News as opposed to, you know, any one of the several U.S. intelligence agencies.

Think about that for a moment. This country currently has a “president” who seems to reject the intelligence experts who’ve dedicated their lives to protecting our nation, preferring instead to get his “information” from people like Alex Jones, Sean Hannity, and the batcrap crazy alt-right conservative news media.

Obviously this particular tweet isn’t the only instance where he’s done this. Numerous times since he’s been sworn into office he’s gone on Twitter rants where he’s made statements, or asked questions, that he has the power to pick up a phone and get the answers to — literally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I’d also like to point out, as many others have as well, this was Trump taking another jab at Jeff Sessions. It’s abundantly clear that Trump’s hoping to pressure the attorney general into resigning so that he doesn’t technically have to fire him. While he may eventually do that, it seems Trump’s current plan is to essentially try to bully Sessions into stepping down so that his record doesn’t include firing the head of the FBI, an attorney general, and special counselor (which I’ve predicted is going to happen in the very near future).

It’s still surreal that this is all going on and there are millions of people defending Trump’s actions and behavior. Every single day Donald Trump proves that he was right when he called his supporters mindless sheep who’ll support him no matter what he does.
