Pathetic: Fox News Dumps Out of Obama Press Conference Because… Benghazi!

fox-news-benghaziCan conservatives just admit one thing – that Fox News is clearly the mouthpiece for the Republican party?  It’s so blatantly obvious, yet most conservatives I meet really believe that Fox News is “fair and balanced.”  It’s comical.

A great example of this occurred today when Fox News’ newest show Outnumbered happened to be airing during an Obama press conference.  Well, as to be expected, they were completely obsessed over Benghazi and seemed insistent that very soon President Obama would address yet another conspiracy Republicans continue to try to perpetuate over something that happened nearly two years ago.

As soon as the press conference began airing, host Harris Faulkner said, “Here’s what we are waiting for.  Potentially reporters in that crowd will ask the president about the developments with these Benghazi emails that have come out, and they’re explosive.  We fully expect somebody in the crowd might ask the president about this.  This would be the first time that he would speak since these emails would come to light.”

But after a few minutes, no Benghazi.

Faulkner then went on to say, “We know that the next question coming up is from a German reporter. We are not anticipating that would be about the situation with Benghazi, which is breaking news since the president has been talking really.  So, if in fact somebody throws him a question on this topic, we will go back to that joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.”

As it became more and more apparent that Benghazi isn’t a big concern for President Obama, nor would it be discussed, they began to move away from the press conference and towards the “breaking” news about emails that they’re trying to spin into some massive cover up over talking points used just following the Benghazi attack – when they’re just normal directives given to people who would be speaking with reporters to prepare them for any possible subjects that might be mentioned.  See, Benghazi wasn’t the only protest that had been going on at the time.  There were other protests throughout the Muslim world.

When they finally went to commercial, they didn’t come back to cover the rest of President Obama’s press conference.  Instead they went into the “whys” of cheating.

Essentially because they weren’t getting their way, they dumped out of the President of the United States’ press conference to discuss pointless daytime talk show topics.

As always, just real quality “news” coming from the Fox News channel.

My only hope is, since they’re voting on a “select committee” and they’ll probably get it, that every answer to questions asked by a Republican starts with, “As you’ve already been told numerous times during numerous hearings…”. All answers should then end with, “which is exactly what you were told last time and every time.”
Maybe, just maybe, the Republicans will then get the point. Just because you don’t like the answers doesn’t mean you haven’t gotten answers. It just means you’re asking the same questions over and over again hoping someone will confirm your preconceived notions as to what happened.

I wonder if the republicans were up in arms over the way Pat Tillman’s death was handled as much as they are over Benghazi.

Republicans shed (crocodile) tears over Benghazi, and the death of our Ambassador.

But would deny a LIVING Ambassador Stevens the right to marry for being gay.
