If President Obama Were White and Republican, They’d Worship Him Like They Do Ronald Reagan

reagan-obamaWhen President Obama took office in January 2009 our country was in complete disarray.  We were tied up in two wars, our auto industry was on the verge of complete collapse, Wall Street just had to be bailed out and we were losing hundreds of thousands of jobs every month among just some of the bigger horrible events going on during that time.

This, of course, was on the heels of 8 years under George W. Bush’s “leadership.”

Magically, the moment Obama became president, he was the cause of all of this.

But it wasn’t too long after Obama became president that our job losses were cut in half, unemployment bottomed out and we started inching our way towards our first month of over four years of private sector job growth.

Let’s face it, if President Obama were white and a Republican they’d see him as a legend.

Imagine if a Republican president took us from the worst recession in nearly a century to positive private sector job creation in one year.  Then they followed that by over six years (and counting) of consecutive private sector job growth, gaining back every job we lost from the economic crash.

Then besides just the job growth they saved the American auto industry, killed Osama bin Ladin and presided over record breaking stock markets – just to name a few things.

Those few things alone would etch him into Republican lore.

Then when you add in things like we’re still enjoying historically low taxes, our deficits have been reduced by more than half, domestic oil production is at some of its highest levels in decades, oil prices are low and corporate profits are at record highs – that would seal the deal as a true conservative icon.

There’s just one problem, a white Republican didn’t do any of those things – a mixed-race Democrat did.

So naturally that makes him an anti-American socialist/communist/fascist who’s out to destroy our very way of life.  And because he has a “scary sounding name” like Barack Hussein Obama he’s obviously some kind of Muslim anti-Christ.

It’s absolutely ridiculous.  No president in United States history has faced a Congress who’s made it so abundantly clear that they have absolutely no intention of ever working with him.  Their obstruction has been so blatant that liberals often use the popular joke that if Obama came out in favor of oxygen, Republicans would suffocate.

But the real reality is, a Republican president (no matter their race) wouldn’t have accomplished half of what President Obama has accomplished during the same amount of time in the White house.  They would have continued the same failed policies that led us straight into the worst economic crash in nearly a century.

So the next time some conservative goes off on a rant about how Obama is “the worst president in history,” just remember – they’re jealous.  Because they know nobody from their party would have been able to accomplish even half of what President Obama has and that fact eats away at them inside.

And if one had accomplished everything he has so far, they’d be worshipping the same way they do Ronald Reagan.  Hell, decades from now they’d be claiming to see his face in their toast.
