Repulsive “Pro-Life” Site Tries to Claim Robin Williams’ Suicide May Have Been Linked to Abortion

10578933_10152599321682489_1387076936_nThe tragic death of Robin Williams has been a topic that’s transcended just about every media platform.  Even while listening to my usual sports radio guys here in Dallas, they spoke in great length about the tragedy.

But, of course, there are those who are going to try to exploit the public exposure of his death to benefit their own agendas.

Which is exactly what the “pro-life” Life News did by trying to imply that an abortion Robin Williams and his then girlfriend had agreed to in the 70’s have might have played a factor in his depression and dependency on alcohol and drugs.

According to Talking Points MemoLife News’ Kevin Burke wrote, “Many are aware that Williams struggled for years with serious addiction issues. However a lesser known fact is that one of those demons was an abortion that took place in the 1970’s.”

Now, normally I would link the original article as well, only it seems to have been taken down.  When you search for the article this comes up:

But when you click on that link, this is what you get:

So it seems after posting such ridiculous nonsense that they were either forced to take the post down, or the public backlash was so great that they removed the article.

Apparently what Burke did was take a quote from 2008 when Williams was talking about how he behaved while drinking alcohol and twisted it to make it seem as if he might have been referring to the abortion from the 70’s.

During that interview Williams said, “You know, I was shameful…You do stuff that causes disgust, and that’s hard to recover from. You can say, ‘I forgive you’ and all that stuff, but it’s not the same as recovering from it.”

And that’s what this Burke character tried to spin, writing, “Williams may have been making a thinly veiled reference to what society tells us does not exist…his post abortion trauma and complicated grief.”

Even though in the interview he makes it clear that he was talking about his behavior while drinking.

But even if you go to this site, it’s nothing more than far-right propaganda advocating for the complete violation of a woman’s right to have control over her own body.  So it doesn’t surprise me that they would try to exploit the death of Robin Williams for their own selfish ambitions.

I guess while they like to call themselves “pro-life,” they sure don’t seem to be anti-propaganda.  Their attempt to disgustingly try to use Robin Williams’ tragic suicide to benefit their anti-constitutional agenda shows just how repulsive of a site this really is.

Forced-birth cultists are among the most despicable, vile people I have encountered in my life.

Thankfully, I know how to beat them down: with the stick of Equal Individual Rights.

      MANDATORY PREGNANCY AND FORCED FETUSBIRTH!!!!!

I HAVE USE THIS PHRASE FOR A DECADE AND YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE who has echoed me. TY.

      • bigovernmentsocialconservative

I have independently arrived at the above phrase and have been using it for about 2 years now.

I hold no copyright to the phrase, nor do I intend to claim one.

I encourage other people to use the phrase.

        Those people are not “pro-life”.

“Pro-” implies non-application of force, indicates that the person claiming to be “pro-something” will not force another person to that viewpoint, but will try to persuade them.

Pro-choicers can proudly claim to be pro-choice.

        Forced-birth cultists can’t.

funny,,,,I knocked up a CHRISTIAN girl years ago– she had an abortion. Shes a fervent daughter of a minister who lays that JEEEESUS crap on everyone; yet she HAD AN ABORTION!!! She also had countless sexual liasons out of marriage and after II dumper her we had an affair ( a few) whilst she was MARRIED TO A CHRISTIAN!! NICE Christian behavior!!! Typical of her and her dada; they hate Obama and hate progress– lets stay stuck and read the VOODOO book BIBLE!!
    ========================================================
Please note– there are MANY fine American Christians!!! the GOOD ones FOLLOW CHRISTS teachings to the letter; YET it seems that the white trash regressive aging low IQ predominantly southern scum religious nut MINORITY is making America sick of RELIGION as they ( minority) want to keep women and gays an minorities subjugated ( see: BIBLE teachings)
********************************************************************************** im personally enjoying watching the American PROGRESS away from the strangling stultification of CHRISTIANS who hate all that is NOT white and pseudo-Christian: we are TIRED of IN equality; TIRED of being held captive and then told its US who are doing it—
RELIGION is to do ONE thing( divided in 2 parts) (a) control the lemming masses ( B) make BIG tax free money in doing so.

People do insane things trying to control every woman’s embryos. They never give a shirt about actual kids- but they’ll go to battle for those embryos.

    • Stephen Barlow

They deny food to living kids, but demand a woman listen to a sound effect to procure her LEGAL RIGHTS?

What happened to the wisdom of “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s…”
