A great pillar on which this nation was built is based upon religious freedom and the right for every American to believe whatever it is they want to believe. Though as we’ve all come to learn, there are plenty of “Christians” in this country – typically conservatives – who seem to think that “religious freedom” means they have the right to force their views on others. Ironically, these are usually the first people whining whenever they feel that they’re having someone else’s views forced upon them.
Another trait many of these so-called “Christian conservatives” share is that they’re not typically very “Christ-like” at all. I’ve never quite understood how people who love guns, support the death penalty, vilify the poor and support an economic policy built on greed can rationally call themselves “Christians.”
These are also many of the same folks who are openly anti-Muslim and staunch opponents of allowing thousands of Syrian refugees, many women and children, from escaping almost certain death by coming to the United States. How “Christ-like” of them.
In fact, it can be argued that these “Christian conservatives” are only stoking the flames of terrorism with their bigotry, prejudice and obvious disdain toward Muslims.
Now in a twisted sense of irony, some members of satanic groups across the country are volunteering their protection and support for Muslims who may be living in fear because of the fear-mongering and hatred emanating from the Republican party as a whole.
The San Jose and Minneapolis chapters of the “Satanic Temple” have volunteered their services to help Muslims who might be afraid to go out in public out of fear that they might endure some sort of hate crime.
If there is anyone in the area who is Muslim and afraid to leave their home out of fear for some kind of backlash, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We would be glad to escort you where you need to go without advertising our presence – just big dudes walking you where you need to be. We would also happily accompany you so you can get some groceries.
Amazing, isn’t it? A group of “satanists” acting more Christ-like than these supposed “Christian conservatives.”
It’s worth noting that these sorts of “satanic” groups aren’t typically worshippers of satan, they’re usually just mocking those who are trying to force their religion into places it doesn’t belong. Like in Oklahoma where these “satanists” raised money to erect a statue of Lucifer in response to the conservative attempt to place a Ten Commandments monument on government property. You know, in the name of “religious equality” and all.
They’ve also taken to shielding women from Republican attempts to infringe upon their right to have control over their own bodies.
But it’s telling of the vile nature of many of these “Christian conservatives” when a group that openly mocks religion seems to know more about “Christian values” (or basic human decency) than these hypocrites who claim to be devout Christians while lacking any semblance of real Christian values.
