Stewart Hammers ‘Professor of Negro Studies’ Cliven Bundy and CNN’s Continued Obsession with Flight MH370

stewart-bundy-1The moment Cliven Bundy’s racist tirade became the major story of the day, I had a good feeling Jon Stewart would have plenty to say on the matter.

Well, it wasn’t exactly a lengthy response – but it was on point.

He led into the segment by mocking the “surprising twist” of an anti-government conservative saying something racist. Because, you know, that never happens.  He then went on to call Bundy “a professor of Negro studies” and jabbed at Bundy’s comment where he said he’s a “little bit like the Founding Fathers” by saying, “The bit of you that’s like our Founding Fathers is the bit of them that we’re ashamed of.”

He also made sure to take one last jab at Sean Hannity and Fox News, mentioning once again that they were Bundy’s loudest cheerleaders before his racist comments made headlines.

It was at that moment that he decided to switch gears and tear apart CNN for their continued “breaking news” coverage of missing flight MH370.  He pointed out that CNN had a “breaking news” story about a piece of debris that washed up on the west coast of Australia – only to have another “breaking news” story less than 24 seconds later saying that the debris was confirmed to not be from flight MH370.

Stewart then hammered the network for only devoting 2 minutes and 10 seconds to a recent UN report on climate change (you know, an actual news story), instead turning to their typical over-the-top horrific coverage of what they consider “news.”

Which is pretty sad actually.  Not that long ago, many people viewed CNN as fairly decent for being “mainstream media,” but over the last few years they’ve become an absolute joke.  Their coverage of flight MH370 has been so ridiculous that it almost seems like they’re actively trying to make absolute fools of themselves.

But as much as I love Jon Stewart, it’s still a sad day and age we live in where the best coverage of our news is found on Comedy Central.

Here’s the clip from the show:

    Stewart is usually dead-on.

Gotta love Jon Stewart! I used to be an avid CNN viewer, now I can’t stand them. They HAVE become an absolute joke. The only one I still enjoy watching is Fareed Zakaria and maybe Michael Smerconish, but his show is on too early for me. Other than that I get my news mostly online, on Twitter and local news. For politics I prefer MSNBC because even though they lean left, they still are more fair and balanced than the other networks. And so what if they lean left? I’m tired of people saying it as if it’s a bad thing. We all know how FOX leans and CNN, I don’t know what the hell they’re doing or where they’re leaning so if the right-wingers can have their right-leaning shows then liberals can and should have their left-leaning shows!

Mr. Bundy was, and is, correct of course. The Negro has “progressed” from being a cotton picker on a private plantation to being a welfare recipient on the government plantation.
But according to the bigoted Left, it is somehow “racist” to point out that fact.

auntielib – you couldn’t be more wrong – the real welfare recipient is Mr. Bundy & many of the ranchers & agriculturally farmers – try looking at the facts of the subsidies (the government hand outs to this group of americans). The Government is subsidizing the grazing fees ($1 & change compared to if they had to pay private fees (because it is not his purchased land) of around $18-19 dollars per cow-calf. However, don’t let real facts get in your way. Here is another myth bust from Mr. Bundy – he claimed the “families” were better off – guess he just forgot the fac that many slaves weren’t allow to get married, so they could sell off different family memebers – some family life when your significant other or children get sold & are moved away from you. But, just keep believing your made up stories of how it was & is!

Actually, the real “recipient” is the beef purchaser. By charging a fee to “allow” farmers’ cows to feed on land supposedly owned by THE PUBLIC, the Government manages to RAISE the cost the beef purchaser (including those “poor” Negro folks who use Food Stamps, btw) in your local supermarket must pay, AND extract yet more money (from the farmer) out of the Private Sector.

Golly, what a “gift” The Government is giving to the meat-purchasing recipient – HIGHER COST of beef!

So no, it’s YOU who are wrong, Pushback.

How much “fee” do you think a private land owner charges to “allow” grazing? It is much, much more than the Fed. You are MOST wrong. The public land belongs to ALL of us, not just freeloaders, like yourself.

And, oh my, you poor bigoted blind fool —“The Negro has “progressed” from being a cotton picker on a private plantation to being a welfare recipient on the government plantation.” —That is just downright a disgusting thing to say….I am not on welfare or food stamps. I work hard for what I have. I hope your God forgives you for your hateful views, you freak.

        It thinks it’s being clever.
