Ted Nugent Claims His Music is Inspired by African-Americans, Calls White Texas Mayor a Racist

ted-nugent-greg-abbottAnyone with any shred of common sense knows that Ted Nugent is absolutely insane.  Any time he speaks it’s just nonsensical drivel that has become more comical than offensive.

Perhaps you’ve heard about the east Texas town which paid Ted Nugent $16,000 to not play at their town’s Fourth of July festival.  The town is called Longview and I can assure you that it’s not in a “liberal” part of Texas.

Well, Nugent fired back at the town’s mayor Jay Dean, calling him a racist.  Oh, and let’s not forget the fact that Jay Dean is white.

So Nugent is accusing a white mayor of being racist against him.  Nugent is claiming that this mayor is being racist toward him because his band “performs mostly African-American influenced music.”

Yes, that’s Ted Nugent honestly claiming that he was told to stay away by the white mayor of Longview, Texas because his band plays mostly African-American inspired music.

Now I haven’t heard a lot of Nugent’s music (thank God), but the little I have suffered though was not what I would call “influenced” by African-American music.  Especially the disgusting song he wrote about his sexual desires for extremely young girls.

Ted Nugent is just a disgusting human being.  He:

  • Is a self-admited pedophile.
  • Defecated in his pants to avoid going to Vietnam.
  • Adopted a 17-year-old so he could legally have sex with her.
  • Is openly racist.
  • Called Hillary Clinton a c*nt.
  • Made a veiled threat against the president’s life.
  • Uses Nazi slurs.

And that’s just a few of the things we know for a fact.  Just imagine what we don’t know?  Wow.

Anyone, no matter if you’re liberal or conservative, should be ashamed of themselves for supporting someone like Nugent.  He represents the lowest level of human existence.

I applaud Mayor Dean for taking a stand and saying he didn’t want the filth of Ted Nugent to pollute his town’s Fourth of July celebration.  It was something Greg Abbott didn’t have the courage to do.

You are playing his game writing about him again… What he say or do doesn’t matter at all…

    • Jim Bean

It isn’t about whether it matters. What’s important is how it makes us feel when we trash someone who ugliness is comparable to our own. It makes us feel better about ourselves and Lord knows, we need that.

      • Sunny Ray

Correction: makes you feel better not me, I don’t need to compare myself or trash someone like him to feel better, actually that sounds sick… The only way I could understand your point in this article would be denonciation, but that’s not your propose here apparently.

I also view his words as buffoonery but his arrows and bullets are lethal. Countless dead animals felt Nugent’s wrath in the worst possible way. Many of them died purely for entertainment purposes.

  • republic84

They forgot to mention the most foul thing Nugent is openly admitted of… Being a friend to the republican party and worse yet their merry band of racist bigots the tea party. This guy is one step from a pointed white hood and he’s calling someone else racist? Hello pot, my names kettle…

Those knowledgeable of the origin of rock and roll music understand what Ted is talking about.

    • Pipercat

You’re so right Jim, every time I hear Ted Nugent, I think of Sam Cook….

…and go fish out one of his CDs to listen to instead.

To say that someone is racist against a white rockstar based on the fact that rock was largely invented by African-Americans is the absolute epitome of delusion. That’s like saying if you hate corn, you’re racist against Native Americans. Even you cannot deny that, and if you do, then I sincerely hope you do not pass on your genes.

      • Jim Bean

Agreed. And to say a white rock star is a racist because he made reference to black roots of rock music is equally preposterous. And that’s what happened here.

      • Yolanda Acosta

He’s not a rock star! And even the fact that rock and roll has black roots doesn’t mean a damn thing. He’s a has been and a pedophile racist!

      • Brian David

Nobody said Turd Nugget was racist because he made a reference to the black roots of rock music… that’s NOT what happened here. We know he’s racist from the many, many, many other comments that he’s made.
You might be able to sound out the big words but it’s clear you can’t understand what they mean. Reading is fundamental you should learn how!

I am knowledgeable of the roots of Rock and Roll and other music. To say that Nugent’s music is Rock and Roll is a gross overstatement. To say that it has roots in African-American music is an insult

“I haven’t heard a lot of Nugent’s music (thank God), but the little I

Slamming Ted’s music just because you dislike his politics is beyond childish. It puts you on the same level as Teddy. It makes you sound on a par with Michelle Bachmann or Sarah Palin.

Art expresses nothing but itself, to quote Oscar Wilde. If he wrote the music, then it’s as bad as he is. Considering he’s written music about pedophilia, that says a lot.

a lot of vets would love to get ahold of this asshole,I SAT LET IT BE,sale tickets for 10bucks each and give to wendy davis

  • Melanie Collins Pennock

Ted Nugent’s music is inspired by drugs and stupidity. That’s it!

  • Realist

Nugent would know what a racist looks like if he only had a mirror.

  • David Shaw Jr

Wait. How can you adopt somebody and legally have intercourse with them? Don’t they legally become your child?

  • Alec Sevins

I think Ted Nugent’s disregard for other species is his biggest ongoing sin. His verbal comments are offensive but don’t cause physical damage and most people already know he’s a tool. But the trail of animal corpses he leaves behind for ego-satiation is quite tangible and brutal.
