To say that Ted Nugent sickens me would be an understatement. As I told my friend over the weekend, I really do hope there’s a hell if for no other reason than deplorable human beings like Nugent deserve to eventually go there.
In many ways, Nugent perfectly represents what the modern day GOP has become. A faux “tough guy,” racist, bully, hypocrite, liar, conspiracy theorist, and perpetual victim obsessed with guns who, when he had the ability to use the guns he loves so much in combat fighting for his country, chose to soil himself rather than carry out his patriotic duty.
So it comes as no surprise to see a video where he proclaimed himself the victim of hate speech after basically everyone with even an ounce of human decency rightfully condemned him for saying that the survivors of the Douglas High School shooting “have no soul”:
So they are guilty of hate speech. I merely identified that you have to have mush for brains to accept, blindly accept, the propaganda from the gun-hating, freedom-hating, America-hating, liberal Democrat left media. And who out there believes that so much of the media – who believes CNN, anybody? MSNBC, anybody? ABC, CBS, NBC? Certainly Media Matters, really? Boy, what a hypocritical title that is. Media Matters, MoveOn.Org, Southern Poverty Law Center, the Huffington punks, who believes these people?
So they claimed that it’s hate speech to identify the hate of people that call us child murderers, because we don’t believe in banning guns, which won’t save any lives. So they’re so blinded by their hate, and their mushy brains have so robotically accepted the propaganda ministry’s lies and deceit, that they’re hate isn’t hate. My identifying their hate, is hate. What the hell? So I stand by my words.
His rant reminds me of when white supremacists accuse those calling out their racism of being “racist” — for pointing out the fact that they’re white supremacists.
I couldn’t help but laugh at Nugent’s “tough talk” because, just a few years ago, I actually had my own encounter with this pile of garbage on Facebook after he publicly accused me of lying about him. After a little back and forth where I used his direct quotes and a video to support my statements, he claimed he’d “shred” my “fantasy list of lies” — and then he blocked me.
Whether or not you want to view Nugent’s pathetic comments about the Parkland survivors as “hate speech” is entirely up to each person to decide for themselves. However, for this clown to claim that those calling out his appalling comments are pushing “hate speech” proves what a fragile little snowflake he is.
Like with most bullies, Nugent can dish it out, yet whenever anyone pushes back against him, he’s often one of the biggest crybabies you’ll ever encounter.
Though it’s a testament to just how awful modern day Republicans have become that a bottom-feeding sicko such as Ted Nugent has been so warmly embraced by the majority of conservatives and even elected members of the Republican party.
