Ted Nugent Tries to Exploit Veteran Suicide Rates to Attack President Obama (Video)

ted-nugent-3Without a doubt, Ted Nugent is one of the most vile people in this country. I’m not even sure why conservatives tolerate him. Are we really at a point where any sort of bottom-feeding low-life is acceptable as long as they hate President Obama and love guns?

Despite the fact that Nugent is a self-confessed draft dodger and someone who engaged in a relationship with a girl who wasn’t even 18 (when he was around 30), millions of conservatives absolutely adore him.

The conservative infatuation with Nugent, in my opinion, only goes to expose the complete hypocrisy of those who claim they represent the “moral majority” – because there’s absolutely nothing honorable or moral about Ted Nugent.

Take for instant recent comments he made where he tried to exploit the enormous problem we have in this country of far too many veterans committing suicide, to take a petty and disgusting shot at President Obama.

“Here’s your job, Republican Party,” Nugent said. “20-25 of those guys kill themselves every day, and they haven’t told you why, and they haven’t told anybody else why, but they told me why: because the Commander-in-Chief is the enemy.”

Yes, you read that correctly. That’s Nugent claiming that 20-25 veterans per day are literally killing themselves because Barack Obama is president. Not only that, but he believes our president is “the enemy.”

Nugent exploited the real problem of what our veterans endure at war, circumstances that lead to many suffering PTSD which is a leading cause of suicides among veterans, all for the sake of issuing a personal attack against the president.

Honestly, is nothing off-limits to these people? It’s one thing to dislike the president based on his political party or his policies, but to literally try to blame President Obama for veterans committing suicide is unconscionable.

And if you want to blame any president for the unacceptable number of suicides we’re seeing among veterans, Nugent might want to look at the president who sent them to war based on a lie – George W. Bush. After all, had Bush not willfully misled the world in a desperate effort to start a pointless war in Iraq that accomplished nothing, many of these veterans would have never been sent to a war that left them with issues they’ll have to suffer with for the rest of their lives – to say nothing about the nearly 4,500 Americans who died in Iraq.

When conservatives support Nugent they’re only cementing their hypocrisy as a group of people who couldn’t care less about what kind of person someone is, just as long as they love guns and hate President Obama.

It’s one thing to oppose someone’s politics or believe in a certain political ideology, but it’s something entirely different to show admiration toward someone who defecated on themselves to avoid serving their country; admitted to having an obsession with young girls; threatened the life of a president; called the former First Lady a “c*nt”; and tried to exploit veteran suicides just to levy a petty political attack on someone.

Which begs the question, just what would Ted Nugent have to do before conservatives finally said enough was enough? Because at this point, there’s not a level much lower that he could still stoop to.
