This isn’t a “presidential administration” any more than Rush Limbaugh’s a Victoria’s Secret model.
(You’re welcome for that mental image, by the way.)
Donald Trump’s an unhinged, mentally-incompetent buffoon being manipulated like a puppet by a Russian tyrant, a white nationalist who used to run a fringe conspiracy conservative website, and a bunch of bottom-feeders who are just there to suck up to him and feed his ego.
These people aren’t crafting policy — they’re pandering to online memes and “top comments” you see left on your typical conservative blog.
We just saw Trump sign a ban on anyone from seven nations from entering the United States even though not a single person from any of those countries has ever killed an American in a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. So, please, tell me, how does banning people from seven countries whose citizens have never been linked to a deadly attack on American soil make us safer — especially considering citizens from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Lebanon (nations not included in his ban) have killed thousands of Americans?
That’s what I mean when I say these policies sound like they’re being “written by memes.” This ban isn’t rational, it just plays well to idiots on the Internet who drool over things that sound good — even though they don’t make a damn bit of sense.
And Sean Spicer, seriously? Give me a break. He’s basically just an American version of Baghdad Bob. You can tell even the press corps doesn’t take him seriously. I’ll honestly be shocked if he makes it six months as White House Press Secretary.
We can’t forget Trump’s apparent ongoing obsession over his inauguration crowd size and the fact that Hillary Clinton received 3 million more votes than he did. Now he’s talking about ordering outrageous investigations into his unfounded conspiracy about “3-5 million illegal votes” and calling government departments in a desperate attempt to find anything to confirm his propaganda about how many people attended his inauguration.
That is neurotic insecurity on a level I’ve never seen before.
Then there’s Kellyanne Conway. We all know her. The woman who now defends Trump for many of the things she called him out on when she was working for Sen. Ted Cruz. While Trump gets most of the criticism (and rightfully so) for this joke of an “administration,” his little “spin doctor” Conway deserves plenty of scorn herself.
This whole thing is nothing but an embarrassing dumpster fire. It’s as if the comments section of a right-wing blog puked forth a candidate who was then elected president. Now we’re all forced to live under the rule of a bunch of morons who believe in asinine conspiracy theories like Barack Obama faked his birth certificate, Jade Helm was a government plot to confiscate guns, or everything that doesn’t bow down and say Trump’s the greatest is “fake news.”
We’re not being ruled by a presidential administration, we’re being ruled by the alt-right, racists, bigots, sexists, conspiracy theorists, individuals who deny science, and people who don’t seem to think reality is actually real.
As others have said, this is essentially the Breitbart Administration: A fringe, right-wing conspiracy group full of propagandists, fearmongers, white nationalists, and unhinged sociopaths who want to see the world burn.
