Trump and His Supporters Melt Down After Impeachment Ad Runs on Fox News (Video)

It’s not exactly a secret that Fox News is basically Donald Trump’s own version of state-run media. A network that was once simply the media arm for the GOP has now morphed into channel that churns out almost nothing but Trump propaganda. While there are still the few exceptions of quality journalism from the likes of Shep Smith and Chris Wallace, the vast majority of Fox News’ broadcasting consists of the likes of Trump cheerleaders such as Fox & Friends, Outnumbered, The Five, Tucker Carlson, and Sean Hannity.

So when I heard that television’s most-watched conservative propaganda network ran a one-minute ad paid for by Democratic donor Tom Steyer calling for Trump’s impeachment — I knew the backlash was going to be ugly.

Within minutes of the ad airing, as most people reading this would probably would expect, the mentally unstable Trump sent out a tweet attacking Steyer:

Nothing like airing an ad that calls Trump a “clear and present danger” for being mentally unstable, then almost immediately seeing Trump prove he’s a “clear and present danger” and “mentally unstable” by sending out that tweet.

The likely reason why Steyer paid to have his ad air on Fox & Friends is because he knows Trump’s unhinged, would see the ad since he spends most of his mornings watching cable news, and would certainly tweet about it. He bet on this “president’s” mental instability and that he could goad him into a response — and Trump proved him right. This takes me back to a comment Hillary Clinton said during a presidential debate, “A man who can be provoked by a tweet should not have his hands anywhere near the nuclear codes.”

Just an FYI, it’s not a good thing that, outside of Trump’s sheepish supporters, everyone else all around the world — including our enemies — knows that Trump’s a mentally deranged, incompetent buffoon who can be easily manipulated.

Well, Trump wasn’t the the only one who had a white-hot meltdown over this ad. It seems many Fox News viewers were quite offended when something other than the usual pro-Trump cheerleading appeared on their television screens Friday morning:

There were plenty more, but I think I’ve made my point. Of all the idiotic tweets that I saw, what made me laugh the most was how isolated and ignorant these people seem to be about how advertising works. Especially the first tweet where the person doubted that other networks would run anti-Obama ads — when they did frequently. I watch a good amount of cable news from all of the networks, including Fox News, and I’ve seen plenty of anti-Obama, anti-Clinton, pro-Republican ads over the years on every network. It’s a testament to how little these folks understand anything outside of their echo chambers and bubbles that they legitimately believe that all other media entities are actually working for Democrats and are completely unaware that these types of ads are not uncommon on other networks.

This is just another day where Donald Trump and his supporters remind all of us that when history looks back upon this time in our country, they’re going to be on the wrong side of it.

Here’s the ad from Tom Steyer:
