Trump Sends Out Delirious, Contradictory Tweet in Morning Twitter Meltdown

Since we currently have an incompetent, emotionally unstable buffoon in the White House, it’s unfortunately a requirement for anyone who follows the news in this country to check Twitter to see what Donald Trump will rage-tweet about while he watches cable news morning shows for several hours each day.

Well, this morning, one tweet in particular was more incoherent and contradictory than most:

Trump starts the tweet by criticizing Barack Obama for doing something about Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, even though it was actually the FBI led by Republican James Comey who began an investigation into Trump’s campaign — then he ends the tweet by attacking Obama for doing “NOTHING” about Russian meddling.

All the while Trump, the current “president,” not only has refused to enforce sanctions on Russia that were overwhelmingly passed by Congress (517-5) a few months ago — but he still refuses to says anything negative about the Russian government or Vladimir Putin. Furthermore, his State Department hasn’t spent any of the $120 million it was allocated at the end of 2016 to counter Russian propaganda and election-meddling efforts.

Then there’s always the fact that we didn’t even learn about the FBI investigating Trump’s campaign until after the election. So, if Obama was “using this to help Clinton,” then why, exactly, wasn’t it made public until after he was elected?

You can’t make this stuff up, folks. But yet here this buffoon sits, making it up every damn day as he tweets from his gold toilet.

So, back to the tweet, which is it? Because it can’t be both. The Obama administration couldn’t have overreached in their response to the Russian cyber attack on our election, while also doing “NOTHING.”

To begin with, Obama, as president, couldn’t “start an investigation” into anything. The Department of Justice could, but it didn’t — the FBI did. And as badly as Trump would like to think that the FBI is there to do a president’s bidding, it’s not.

This is another great example of how Trump’s mind works. Since he feels that the FBI should follow the orders of a president, he seems to believe that these investigations into his campaign were ordered directly by Barack Obama.

Except that’s not how this works — that’s not how any of this works.

Either through willful deception, or total ignorance (possibly both), Trump obviously doesn’t understand how the process for obtaining a FISA warrant works. It’s also a true sign of how ignorant Trump believes most of his supporters are that he continues to act as if the FBI looking into his campaign is all this big “witch hunt” when three people linked to him have already pleaded guilty for lying to the FBI.

Meanwhile, one of his former campaign managers, Paul Manafort, has also been indicted on a number of charges that most expect to eventually lead to a guilty plea, as well.

But this tweet is prime example of Trump-style gibberish. He’s literally attacking the Obama administration for the actions the FBI took during the 2016 election in relation to Russia’s interference — while simultaneously criticizing that very same administration for not doing enough.

Another day where we’re all reminded that this country is currently being led by your stereotypical “drunk crazy person at the end of a bar” ranting incoherently on issues about which they know nothing of substance.
