You don’t have to be a mental health professional to realize Donald Trump’s a self-absorbed, unhinged narcissist whose primary obsession in life is himself and always doing what’s in his best interests. I’ve never seen someone with such neurotic insecurities and a fragile ego that he truly seems to need people constantly telling him how “great,” “smart,” and “amazing” he is all of the time — even if they’re lying to him when they tell him such things.
This is why I don’t think he could give up Twitter even if he wanted to. In my opinion, it’s the only way Trump has to “cope” with his endless fixation to lash out at people he hates or brag about himself on a social media platform that allows his followers to heap praise on him.
Well, on Monday, his deranged narcissism hit a sad new low when he tweeted his condolences concerning the passing of Otto Warmbier, the 22-year-old college student who was released with severe brain damage and in a vegetative state after having been held captive by North Korea for 17-months:

Okay, there’s nothing at all wrong with the “President” of the United States issuing such a statement. It’s a tragedy that leaves a pit in my stomach. To think about the hellish torture Otto Warmbier likely endured and the heartbreak his family must be feeling losing him so quickly after he had been released, I can’t even begin to imagine what they’re going through or the pain they’re feeling.
This begs the question, then why do I say this is an example of what a deranged narcissist Trump is?
Because literally, within minutes of sending out that condolences tweet, Trump retweeted two Fox News stories.
The first, an article from FoxNews.com bragging about a Rasmussen poll showing him with a 50 percent approval rating:

Then he followed that up by retweeting this garbage from Fox News:

So, within minutes of sending out a tweet regarding the heartbreaking death of a 22-year-old college student who had been held captive and tortured by North Korea for 17-months, Trump wasted no time in retweeting two things, one boasting about one approval rating from a right-leaning polling company, and another tweet where he does what he always does, plays himself up as the victim.
That’s absolutely disgusting.
He couldn’t even send his condolences out about this young man’s death — and just leave it at that.
Nope, he was so “torn up” about this news that he posted his official statement (which was almost certainly written by someone else), then immediately began sending out retweets bragging about one approval rating and a Fox News segment about how the attacks on Trump are attacks on “the American people.”
Sadly, this is not the first time over the last few days he’s done something like this.
Even though the accident that claimed the lives of seven U.S. sailors occurred hours earlier, Trump sent out nine tweets on Saturday — ranging from his usual unhinged rants about the Russian investigations, bragging about his speech in Miami, and the very same Rasmussen poll he’s now brought up three times in three days — yet didn’t even mention the U.S.S. Fitzgerald until the next day.
Apparently pushing conspiracies, attacking his own Justice Department, bragging about awful approval numbers from a right-leaning polling company, and retweeting Sean Hannity’s Trump-loving propaganda were much more important than issuing any sort of statement showing concern for a naval accident and the seven missing sailors who were eventually found dead.
Both displays by Trump are further proof as to just how self-centered and egotistical he is. Everything he does is so centered around himself and his own ego that, even when he sent a condolences tweet out concerning the death of a 22-year-old man who was released after 17-months of brutal captivity in North Korea, he wasted almost no time in moving past that to once again brag about himself and play himself up as the victim by retweeting Fox News posts.
Donald Trump is a soulless, cold, insecure, petty bottom-feeder and I’m absolutely ashamed that he’s currently representing our country.
