Last summer I wrote an article where I said that Donald Trump was really no different than an organized crime boss. He’s someone who always claims everyone is out to get him, always denies he’s done anything wrong, and often tries to use his power to bully people into doing what he wants.
A belief that even former FBI director James Comey apparently shares, as well.
Then came allegations from former adult film star Stormy Daniels where she says someone made threats against her and her daughter concerning an affair she had a few years ago with this “president.” If that was connected to Trump, it only helps to support my belief that his behavior typically mirrors that of the cliche’ “crime boss” — someone who often uses threats and fear to try to get their way.
Now we have this “president’s” former doctor, Dr. Harold Bornstein, publicly saying that last February, Trump’s former bodyguard Keith Schiller showed up with another man, ransacked his office, and seized all of Trump’s medical records.
As reported by NBC News:
In an exclusive interview in his Park Avenue office, Bornstein told NBC News that he felt “raped, frightened and sad” when Keith Schiller and another “large man” came to his office to collect the president’s records on the morning of Feb. 3, 2017. At the time, Schiller, who had long worked as Trump’s bodyguard, was serving as director of Oval Office operations at the White House.
“They must have been here for 25 or 30 minutes. It created a lot of chaos,” Bornstein said, who described the incident as frightening.
A framed 8×10 photo of Bornstein and Trump that had been hanging on the wall in the waiting room now lies flat under a stack of papers on the top shelf of Bornstein’s bookshelf. Bornstein said the men asked him to take it off the wall.
Bornstein also said he wasn’t given any legal documentation that would have authorized the release of Trump’s medical records.
This all came within a couple of days of Bornstein admitting that he had prescribed Propecia to Trump, a drug used for men with enlarged prostates that can also be used to stimulate hair growth.
Many of you might recall Bornstein was the doctor who insisted he personally penned the comically written letter back in 2015 professing that, if elected, Trump would be the “healthiest president in history.” At the time of that letter’s release, I said this:
I’m sorry – and I have no way to prove it – but I have a hard time believing that Trump had no influence over the wording of this report. Reading this letter, it either seems like Trump was there when it was written with the doctor asking him if what he was putting was acceptable, or that Trump changed certain descriptors after being given the report beforehand.
Well, in another new development, according to Bornstein himself, I was wrong — Trump dictated the whole damn letter and Bornstein simply signed off on it. So Bornstein was flat-out lying when he insisted, before the election, that he had personally written Trump’s health report.
I’m shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
No matter what you might think of Bornstein, and there’s clearly plenty to say about the guy, this is just another example where Trump’s behavior mimics that of organized crime bosses.
His then-physician said something that was fairly embarrassing, so Trump apparently ordered his thugs to his office to seize his medical records, severing ties with someone he had called his doctor for over 35 years who had just recently allowed him to write his own medical report which was meant to influence a primary and presidential election.
He even went as far as to tell the doctor to take down a picture of the two hanging on his wall.
I’m certainly not saying I feel too bad for this “doctor,” but when you get right down to it, these revelations do reinforce one belief held by many about Donald J. Trump: he might call himself the “president,” but he’s really nothing more than a thug.
