Trump’s Latest Comment About Parkland Massacre is a New Low Even For Him (Video)

“I really believe I’d run in there [Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School] even if I didn’t have a weapon,” Donald Trump

Yes, that’s this “president” declaring, with a straight face, that he believes if he were at Douglas High School the day a madman opened fire on students and faculty killing 17 people that, even if he didn’t have a gun, he would have run into the school to — do something.

Let me be perfectly clear, if you actually believe that, you’re an idiot.

How anyone could believe that a multiple draft dodger who cited “bone spurs” as his excuse for not defending his country in the Vietnam War would have run into a school — unarmed — where a monster was unloading hundreds of rounds from an assault weapon is a level of stupidity only someone ignorant enough to actually be a Trump supporter can comprehend.

And, no, I don’t care that he also said he believes everyone else in the room would have, too. Not only does he not know that, let alone have any right to speak for anyone else, but no one else in that room is mentally deranged enough to have said something so appalling.

I know Trump’s said and done a lot of really terrible things, but my immediate reaction today was that this statement was far and away the most offensive thing he’s ever said.

With that comment, Trump was trying to make himself appear stronger by essentially saying that he has the same bravery (if not possibly more since he would have volunteered to enter the school) as those who helped protect survivors of the Parkland massacre from an animal hell bent on killing as many as he could, with several of those heroes losing their lives protecting others — except, you know, he wasn’t there.

But he totally would have gone in if he happened to have been outside when it happened!

Imagine for a moment you cross paths with war veteran who lost an arm and a leg in an IED explosion while they were fighting for this country. Would it ever cross your mind to tell that person, “You know, if I had joined the military and I were there, I’d have done the same thing — maybe even jumped in front of you to save you.”

No, you wouldn’t — because that would be insane to tell someone who had been through that.

Except that’s basically what Trump said today.

The “president” claimed that if he were there, he would have had just as much bravery and courage, maybe even more, as those who actually saved lives, with some losing theirs in the process, because that’s just how “brave and courageous” he is.

Keep in mind that this is the same lowlife bastard who just the other day said this:

“If [shooters] know bad things happened to them once they get into that school by people who love the children — see, a security guard doesn’t know the children, doesn’t love the children.”

So, according to Trump, armed security guards don’t “know” or “love” the children at the schools they work at, which is one reason why teachers need guns — but if random passerby Donald Trump happened to be walking by the school when these shots were going off, he would have jumped into action, unarmed, and ran into the building.

By the way, this is also the same swell man who just used a photo of him visiting survivors of the shooting in an email asking for donations for his re-election campaign.

Donald J. Trump, the man currently calling himself “president,” actually raised money for his re-election campaign using a photo of him standing beside a victim of a mass shooting.

That is sick.

Yes, Trump’s mocked a man with disabilities, belittled war veterans, called a Gold Star widow a liar, and slandered women who’ve accused him of sexually assaulting them. I don’t even know how to properly rank this idiot’s deplorable actions and behavior anymore, but what he said today has to be near the top of the list.

This was Donald Trump proving what we knew all along — there really isn’t a new low to which he won’t stoop to try to make himself look good. Even if that means “talking big,” and essentially downgrading the efforts of the real heroes who saved lives at Douglas High School, to tell some preposterous lie for no other reason than his disgusting desire to try to exploit every situation — even mass murder — for what he perceives to be his own benefit.
