Two New Reports Prove Trump’s Mentally Unstable and a Danger to This Country

Nothing I’m about to say here is going to shock anyone. This article is more of a quick, cathartic venting of my mind rather than some top-notch essay meant to dissect an issue and inform people on a topic.

Donald Trump is not fit for office.

I’m not saying that as a Democrat who opposes him because he’s a Republican. I’m not saying that as a progressive who dislikes him because he’s a conservative. I’m saying that as a human being who recognizes that the current “president” is not mentally or emotionally stable and has absolutely no idea what he’s doing.

Honestly, I don’t even think Trump’s mind can grasp reality.

Take for instance recent reports indicating that he’s been telling people that the Access Hollywood video that he admitted was him and “apologized” for is not authentic — and if that wasn’t crazy enough, to top it off, he’s once again questioning the authenticity of Barack Obama’s birth certificate in private conversations.

This is insane.

Let’s face facts, last year when Trump finally admitted that he believed Obama was an American citizen, that was nothing more than a statement written by someone else to appease pressure from the media. Watching him half-ass his way through those words reminded me of watching a child who refuses to admit that they did anything wrong being forced to stand in the corner for misbehaving.

Sure, he did it, but it’s obvious he didn’t really believe what he said. Which is why he didn’t apologize for spending years using blatant racism against our nation’s first African American president. It was a PR move during a time in his campaign when someone told him he needed to say something otherwise it could hurt his chances of winning.

The truth is, I’m not even sure Trump believes Obama’s birth certificate is fake. I think it’s one of those issues that he uses when it’s convenient for him. When his jealousy of Obama overtakes him at any particular moment, I think that’s when his mind makes him believe that Obama’s birth certificate is fake because that’s an easy way he can delegitimize an “enemy” he was never able to defeat.

It’s essentially an advanced form of cognitive dissonance. Trump’s mind creates various forms of alternative realities to cope with facts that don’t support the delusions about himself and those he opposes that he doesn’t want to be real.

The guy’s mind is warped; he doesn’t understand reality. He really seems to think “reality” is whatever he wants it to be. He’s completely obsessed with Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and trying to overcome his own insecurities.

Right now it’s eating away at him that he can’t lie about the Access Hollywood tape. People know he actually said that and it’s not something that he can fully deny like he does so many of the awful truths about himself. So he’s starting to convince himself that, wait, maybe you didn’t say those things. Maybe someone who’s “out to get you” changed what you actually said. After all, in Trump’s mind, he can’t really be a sick, disgusting sexual predator who assaults women, can he? In his mind that reality can’t be true — so he’s trying to create an alternative one. A reality where he conveniently conjures “alternative facts” to counter whatever he doesn’t like.

All Trump does is invent realities that don’t exist by constantly lying to himself to such an extent that he actually believes his own lies.

I actually knew a guy who was similar, but obviously on a smaller scale. He’d make up lies and tell them so often that he actually seemed to believe them. Much like Trump, no matter how many ways you called him out on something you knew wasn’t true, he’d deflect, distract, or come up with some other preposterous excuse. Ironically, he was also someone who constantly played himself up as the victim in most circumstances. Nothing was ever his fault — someone always “had it out for him.”

Whether it’s a legitimate medical condition or the result of living most of his life inside of a bubble where his view of reality was so warped that he doesn’t actually have the ability to grasp that he’s not god, something is clearly wrong with Trump’s mental faculties.
